Modern and contemporary design, very clean and friendly staff. Nearest metro / tram is about 10-15 mins away.

Very good experience
The Hotel environment is very good and very comfort
The hotel is new and the rooms are nice but the location is far from center Barcelona, not a lot of restaurants or bars nearby that forces you to take taxis / public transport to all know attractions. There is a nice mall within 7 minutes walk, but that’s basically it. If you’re on a vacation - I recommend a more centralized hotel, fir business purposes it’s a nice one. Keep in mind the rooms are not big at all if you are considering arriving with children.

We booked 2 superior rooms for 3 guests each at the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious but here is why this hotel is mediocre: - front desk charged us 60€ per night for a bed to make one of the rooms big enough for 3 people!!! Even though the room is advertised as superior room for 3 adults, there is one queen bed and for them to make it fit for 3, they pull in a small roll-in bed and they charge for it! When I asked the front desk supervisor if this is dishonest he answered “not necessarily”!!! - I parked indoor one night and despite having to ask reception to open the garage door, they charged me for every day of my stay and when I caught them the supervisor said that they have no way of knowing so they charge it and leave it to the guest to complain! They did reverse the charge but frankly a cheap shot not appropriate for a luxury Marriott hotel! - the carpets stink!!! As soon as I came into the hotel the carpets at the entrance and the mezzanine (where our rooms were) badly stunk!! They smelled of rotting! I told the guy at reception but nothing was done. Frankly overall mediocre experience not at all aligned with the prices charged or the brand promise!

Fantastic hotel. Clean and comfortable. Location is excellent. Although not close, one can walk into the city and to the beach very easily. Loads of local bars and restaurants close by. The staff we very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well furnished, the rooftop pool area is a great place to have drinks and snacks while taking in the brilliant view of the city. Our room was comfortable. The bed was comfy and clean. The breakfast is really good. They offer everything hot and cold. One criticism though, they need to cook their scramble eggs a little better as not everybody likes runny scrambled eggs.

Stayed at Labtwentytwo for 8 nights, in town for the music festival Primavera Sound and wanted a property somewhere between the Parc Del Forum and the touristic sites. Hotel is new and all the common areas, the rooms, rooftop pool are exceptional. The staff were polite and service was great. Now the location, you are 500 meters from Westfield Glories a major shopping mall like all the other Westfields in US with N. American and European restaurants, grocery store, Starbucks, clothing etc. To walk to Sagrada Familia is 30 min, Gothic Quarter is 45 min, Uber or Cabs to these areas is 10 euros and 15 min. To Primavera Sound venue Parc Del Forum it is 25 min walk. There is a neighborhood El Poblenou and the walking boulevard is full of restaurants and the start of the boulevard is 5 min from hotel. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel 3 block radius there is nothing but kids school and local 70s 80s style apartments, but very safe and neighborhood feel. Last gym is fantastic you can lift heavy and do whatever u do at your commercial gym in N. America.

We had a good stay for 5 nights. The rooms were spotless and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is located a little bit outside of the city center, but it's easy to get around using public transportation. There are some remarks: - you have to pay € 100.-/night/room deposit (!!!) /never had to pay in any hotels in my life - at least they accepted cash/ - cold breakfast items - rollaway beds cost € 60.-/night if you book for 3 person in a room /good to know... The hotel confirmed our stay per mail for €1550.- total for stay... at the check out they give me an invoice for €1885.- (!!!) ROBBERY AT DAYLIGHT!!! / - in the elevator there is a massive mold smell - it is strange in a new hotel - the walls are really thin - you can hear your neighbors, the life of the corridor and the footsteps from the upper floor. We had a mixed experience at the hotel. Considering the points mentioned, everyone should make their own decision about booking here.

We had a disappointing stay at this hotel. When we got to the room it was missing the balcony which was a room upgrade that we selected at greater expense while booking. The issue was only discovered when we went to the room and I had to go back downstairs and inquire about the problem (rather than them discussing it when they turned over the keys). They did not resolve the discrepancy on day one and said they were fully booked. Each day I checked in to see if there was a way to resolve the issue and they kept saying the manager was out and they would be in after the weekend, one staff person actually laughed to my face that “of course managers would not work on a weekend” (silly me). Halfway through our stay they said we could change rooms, but I said that was inconvenient at that point since we had unpacked. I had a colleague who booked the same room type for the same nights who the hotel was also trying to resolve the issue with, and I compared notes with him on how the hotel was working to recover. They offered him a free rollaway bed (60 euros a night x 5 nights) and breakfast for two adults after he kept bringing the issue up (50 euros a day x 3 days). Near the end of my five day stay after numerous conversations they offered me a discount of 190 euros. I told them I was not pleased since the value they offered my male counterpart was more than double what they offered me in response to the same issue. I told them the sexism is rather embarrassing for Marriott, but they have not made any effort to close the gap or explain the difference. So, my view of service for the hotel is rather low since staff were not able to address what I see as a basic issue and frankly sexist. The hotel is clean. Location is not great. Pool is cold (unheated). The food at breakfast was excellent.
