If you're seeking late-night parties and DJs, this might not be the resort for you. Now, let's dive into the details. The resort is conveniently located just a 20-25 minute speedboat ride from Male airport. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the island is small enough to walk around in 15-20 minutes. We stayed in a beach villa with a private pool and half-board. The pool was shaded by palm trees during the hottest parts of the day, and the beach was simply perfect. The online photos might appear a bit dated, but the reality is much better. Our dedicated butler, Reema, was incredibly kind and attentive, making our babymoon special with hot baths, flower arrangements, and private celebrations. She took excellent care of us throughout our stay. The resort features three restaurants and a charming bar. The food at Lime, the main restaurant, was exceptional—everything we tried was delicious. Although the breakfast buffet wasn't extensive, it was complemented by an à la carte menu that offered a variety of tasty options. Lala made our dinners extra special with his food recommendations and attentiveness to our preferences. Overall, our entire trip was a success, and the Baros team truly made it memorable. Things to know: - Transfers are chargeable by the hotel. Ensure you inform them of your arrival flight 2 days in advance and get confirmation on your transfer. - The hotel is very relaxed and private, making it ideal for newlyweds, honeymooners, and families with older children. - The resort offers daily activities, including excursions, snorkeling trips, cruises, yoga, and more. Some activities are chargeable, while others are free, and all necessary gear is available at the Marine Center at no cost. We would visit again.

This was my fourth trip to the Maldives but first in many years. In the past I always stayed at an island that required an airline transfer + flight which took another half-day or more. This time I chose Baros based off reviews, being part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and location. The location could not have been better. After landing in Male it took about 5 minutes to deplane + another 5 to go through immigration and customs. Moments later I was met by the hotel staff and placed on a speedboat. 30 minutes later was I was in paradise and headed to my villa. The entire staff was exceptional and Sita took care of EVERYTHING. The villa was beautiful, the beaches pristine, the meals delicious, the service top-notch, and the dolphin cruise was extraordinary. I cannot wait to return!

Baros Maldives is nothing short of extraordinary. The resort offers an outstanding experience, with a perfect blend of dreamlike beaches and lush jungle vibes. The coral reef is a snorkeler’s paradise, full of vibrant marine life that makes every swim unforgettable. A special mention goes to Aziza, whose exceptional friendliness and service truly made our stay unforgettable. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality added a personal touch that elevated our experience. The food is phenomenal, offering a la carte options that exceed expectations in quality and presentation. Every meal felt like a culinary journey. Baros Maldives is a luxury destination that fulfills every wish for a dream getaway.

A few friends have visited Baros and all have been complementary about every aspect of their holiday so we thought as part of a 3 island 2.5 weeks trip we thought we would try the Grande Dame of 5 Star Maldive resorts! Immediately upon arrival you are taken by their bar lounge, Sails, it is modern cool and chic but paradoxically has been “as is” for many years. This is a small island so don’t expect multiple restaurants, kids clubs, tennis clubs etc and apologies if indeed there is a tennis club! What is there is a welcoming team who represent a 5 star experience for a spa that delivers what the weary traveller seeks in a beautiful environment, a room, we choose Beach villas every time, that is perfectly positioned for relaxation and a restaurant that serves a wonderful menu. As with all locations it’s about people and it was a pleasure to be looked after by Ibrahim who through discussion recalled a friend of ours who had stayed in 2015 and had recommended. As an aside there was no doubt he recalled him! In short a perfect and quick start to a multi-island holiday hop, don’t stay at one location for 2 weeks as there are so many wonderful places to experience!

Not a day goes by that we don’t wish we were back at Baros. From the moment we stepped into the Male airport we didn’t have to think about anything but when we were going snorkeling and what we felt like eating. The first night we were treated to the Maldivian buffet in which we were able to taste a little bit of everything. Of course our buffet reservation was set up by our butler, Anas. He made us feel welcomed and arranged everything from room service to a night snorkeling excursion for my husband. Anas was especially helpful when my husband fell ill one night. Truely appreciate everything he did. The wait staff was friendly and the service top notch. Our room attendant serviced our room without us ever seeing him. He left cookies, fresh fruit and bottled water every morning and a little sweet snack during turn down service. It was the little touches that we appreciated like the refreshing fragrant towels given before a meal, the morning eye opener juices at the restaurant and the little craved turtles we received on our last morning. Baros is truly a fabulous place to unwind and reconnect with your significant other. The views are unbelievable, the grounds are peaceful and calming, the villas are outstanding, the sea life is amazing, the people are warm and welcoming. It was the best place to start my husband’s retirement. It was our first time visiting Baros but hoping it will not be our last.

Staying in Baros was like a dream. From the very first moment we stepped on to the island we were greeted with kindness and many smiles. The resort is perfect in every way. The villas are amazing, you can see sharks, fishes any many other animals from the deck. The water is crystal clear. Coral reef is so alive. Other thing about this resort was food - it was like a Michelin star culinary. We had here one of the best food we ever had! Absolutely amazing! Many thanks to our amazing butler Reema, she was like a family member to us and we appreciate her work so much. Basically all of the staff we met were amazing and we are very grateful for everything. Can’t wait to come back next time, because this was deffinitely not our last time here. Overall, the vacation was 10/10t⭐️

A wonderful resort: a true Maldivian holiday. The sea was bath-tub warm, clear and the coral reef teeming with fish: oh and reef sharks.. The resort, restaurants and room were very comfortable but the best part were the staff. They made us feel very welcome and very special. Reema our butler sorted everything and nothing was too much trouble. Abdul’s, Justus and Ahmad were so friendly and efficient. They made it a truly relaxing holidayand the spa was excellent

I visited Baros with the love of my life in November, and it was the best experience ever. Saed was the most amazing guide on this journey. We went on a dolphin excursion, saw sharks, snorkeled night, and witnessed incredible biodiversity, along with all the wonders that surround this fantastic hotel. A huge thank you to the entire Baros team for their exceptional service—I would return to this place without a doubt. P.S. If you visit The Lighthouse, be sure to try the lobster soup. You won’t regret it!
