We wanted to like this place but….the smell in the lobby and through much of the first floor, including the breakfast area, smelled like the sewer backed up. One hall smelled like they tried to deodorize but the smell permeated everything. Breakfast was adequate, The lobby and our room were clean and well-appointed. Check in was easy. The bed linens, towels and pillows were okay, but the mattress sagged towards the middle. One bathroom sconce bulb was burned out in an already dimly lit bathroom. There was no drain stopper in the vanity sink. Any guest could lose a piece of jewelery or a contact lens if not careful. And the sink obviously couldn’t hold water. When I mentioned this as we checked out, the owner or manager said the water caused the stoppers to deteriorate quickly and he couldn’t stock them fast enough since they come from China. Glad it was a 1-night stay as we drove through. Sorry, the 3 rating is probably generous.

A super nice family runs this hotel. Also… it’s the most well lit hotel we saw while driving into Beeville. As long as this awesome friendly family is running this place, I’m staying here anything I come through Beeville. I had my room key in hand within a minute of pulling up. And they handed me a cold water. Just good ol’ customer service here.
