Hotel Tanit

This is my second stay at the Tanit. As a solo lady traveller I wanted a hotel close to the old town where it’s less busy than the new town. Perfect location with the beach across the road. I only booked breakfast this time as dinner was a little lard for me 8-10pm as I am a diabetic & need to eat earlier. For me breakfast was great, juices, yogurt, pastries, toast, fresh fruit, cheeses & hams. Cooked rather limited, fried eggs, bacon & frankfurter sausages. Small restaurant but cosy & staff very friendly & helpful. I booked a sea view room, which I would recommend. Reasonable sized room with 2 single beds, plenty of wardrobe & drawer space. My bathroom had a walk in shower but I know some have a bath with a shower over. Maid service daily if you want it. Balcony with table & 2 chairs. I didn’t have any issues with noise from the restaurants & bars below. Tv with 3 English channels if you want to watch. 2 lifts always in working order Reception area always manned & very friendly staff. Mainly Spanish people in the hotel but that wasn’t an issue at all Perfect location for the old town, supermarket 1 minutes walk away, so many places to eat & drink nearby. 10 minutes walk into the new town. Beautiful beach literally over the road, sunbed hire 6 euros a day, or you could buy a chair from one of the local shops which works out cheaper if you are there for a few weeks. If you are looking for a small hotel in the old town I would recommend the Tanit. I felt very safe & at ease as a single traveler.

This is our second stay at the Tanit. A wonderful holiday, hotel is perfectly situated, bedroom was lovely and spotlessly clean. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hustle and bustle from the street added to the holiday experience. Great cafe with sunny terrace. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for three Nights in April,also stayed in March.We arrived off a late flight at midnight,no issues checking-in, Staff friendly and helpful.Breakfast was really lovely and available until 10.30.Restaurant Staff were very friendly.Very central location two minute walk to Beach,Tapas bars and cafes etc.Bar was great and not expensive.Capacino coffee were amazing, I just had to have them several times per day.Would highly recommend this Hotel

Still here throughly enjoying the experience. Hotel immaculate.. food caters for more senior palate.. staff are fantastic especially young guy we met on n first night also hello to waiter who unfortunately smashed couple of glasses in dining room but lovely manners.plenty of shops on your doorstep .. lovely restaurants nearby.. beach across road.. balcony very big and sun all day 506… would return definitely..also bus trips and day trips to suit everyone… Rosie and Joan…don’t know why people complain as great value for money…

Arrived afternoon, was quick and easy check in. Room was clean, had a side street view but could see the square. Bathroom didn't have an extractor fan so the floor got soaked, had to put numerous towels down. Beds were comfy, had a wardrobe each. Only stayed b&b, breakfast was OK, not much choice, usual rolls, toast, biscuits, Spanish bacon, hot dog sausages and fried egg, cereal and fruit and yoghurt. Hotel is predominantly for Spanish guests , one bar person was rather rude and pretty much ignored us whilst dealing with others! The guys on reception were extremely helpful though. Not many kids as no pool. Good location right in the middle of levante beach to left and the other one to the right! Lots of restaurants cafes and bars, great English pub (Vincent's I think) up the side street to eat if you get bored of the same things!

Located in an excellent spot practically on the beach. Hotel is on the small side and lacks facilities such as a pool and evening entertainment but this was more than compensated by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, particularly in the restaurant which is waiter service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tenit and would certainly visit again, our only criticism being the indifferent and tardy service in the public bar and outside terrace.
