Hotel berhampiran Akazienwäldchen, Berlin

I stayed in the hotel on 8 December for one night with my wife, 3 years old son and 2 months infant daughter. Upon check-in we received an upgrade and a welcome drinks voucher being a Platinum member of Accor. I informed the reception that I would like to have a late check-out up to 2 PM because I will be outside at other part of the city for a meeting and might be late in afternoon. The reception agreed to it and told me that Platinum members have free late check-out. I also asked if the hotel honors Accor Ambassadors and the hotel refused that they are a franchise and they do not. The room given to us was Room 54 and it was good and hot as per the weather condition, 0 degrees outside. The beds were comfortable. After check-in and leaving the luggage in the room, I came to the lobby and I was working on my laptop when my wife informed me by phone that the bathroom was having a bad smell and the shower area had a problem, the water does not drain. I checked it and came back to the reception. The manager herself was available at reception and I informed her about the issue. She said she will get it checked. I went back to the lobby to work on my laptop. Despite complaining, the issue was not solved neither we were given any feedback. Next day I could not take a shower before going to work because there was plenty of water from the previous day. I tried to fix the drainage by myself but the water was taking a lot of time to drain. I left the hotel for the meeting. Around 11:45 AM my wife called me and said that the hotel wants her to check-out. I told her that I will send an email to the reception, if they come again tell them that I sent them an email and if they insist, come to the lobby with the luggage but it was difficult for her to come out with the luggage and the infant at same time. My wife had a health issue and it was not possible for her. I did not had local German calls allowed on roaming. I only had an internet SIM for EU. I excused the Deputy GM of the company I had a meeting with and sent the hotel an email. The Deputy GM asked me if there is a problem and I explained her that the hotel wants my wife to check-out now and being a Platinum member the late check-out is possible and I already had it discussed yesterday. She offered me to talk with the hotel directly using her mobile. She dialed the number and phone was on speaker. The phone was answered by the manager herself. I was told by the hotel that the hotel is fully booked but they lied, I checked later and several rooms of all categories were available including the one I stayed. I made a reservation for the same category of the room I am staying in just to show them that they lied and that the hotel is not fully booked. Reservation was late canceled as cancelation was free until 6:00 PM. I returned to the hotel as soon as I can and we checked-in to another Accor hotel. I recently visited this hotel with my boyfriend and I was very impressed. We arrived a little before check-in and we were allowed to go to our room. the room was very spacious with an extremely comfy bed and amazing shower. Also on the last day our flight was not for a while and were were allowed to wait in the lobby after checkout which had lovely sofas and seating areas. It was quiet and there were people working in there. The staff were very lobely and was great for the price.

It’s a really nice location and great service. However, better be aware with the strangers inside the room as my room experienced a guy who came in without a card and the next day some of our roommate lost their thing. Besides, it’s still a great hostel, I met lots of great friends there, especially if you are alone, it’s a really great opportunity to hangout with others.

The accommodation boasts convenient proximity to the metro station, ensuring easy access to transportation infrastructure. Moreover, its cleanliness adds to the overall appeal, enhancing the quality of the living environment.

The hotel is clean, modern and well-staffed. What was missing for us was warmth and the expected level of hospitality. During our 5-day stay, nobody ever said hello, goodbye or communicated in any manner unless we asked a direct question. When I checked out, the only thing the receptionist said was to remind me I had borrowed an electrical adaptor and to return it. I travel frequently and expect hotels to be warm and welcoming. Also, when I checked in I was given no hotel information other than the E25 breakfast hours. I'm sure it's wonderful, but I since only have coffee, there is no reason to pay 25 euros. Because we didn't go to breakfast and the receptionist didn't tell us, we missed many features of the hotel we might have enjoyed. To further our disappointing stay, there was no printed hotel info in our room other than a book about the featured artist. I hate QR codes, but when I scanned the hotel's, it gave sp**** information. The hotel lobby isn't welcoming and I didn't go to the bar until my last night so was unaware of all the things Art'otel would have liked me to know. The magazine was interesting and beautiful. Why isn't there a copy in guest rooms? The local information and maps were available in the breakfast area, but we didn't go there and weren't offered them by hotel staff. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the pictures of beautiful bathrooms with tubs. Sadly, the website fails to mention that tubs are only available in expensive suites. Our visit, while nice, was overpriced. We paid for hospitality and a good room, but only the room was up to the expected standards. Very disappointing.

This is a modern functional hotel (which we booked via BA holidays) apparently popular for conferences, so you get the picture. Four of us went for a city break. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Gendarmenmarkt. Spittelmart U-bahn is 2 minutes away. Easy and welcoming check-in. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower although the wash basin had the depth of a birdbath. What was surprising was the amount of wasted space in the bedroom with a great void between the bed and the door which could have been used for some proper drawers and shelves. As it was, there was only 1 drawer and 3 shelves, one of which was useful only if you were 2 metres tall (see photo). The wardrobe, if you could call it that, was an open hanging space, but it was situated at right angles to a padded seat (see photo) making accessibility difficult and there was only one chair in the room. Tea-making facilities were available but instant coffee only and powdered milk. We used to take a small jug of milk from breakfast and keep it in the fridge. There was a very good and comprehensive breakfast with just about everything one could want. As a morning tea drinker I cannot comment on the coffee which came from a machine, but there was an excellent selection of leaf teas. The hot food was OK, but nothing cooked to order so that eggs were either warm scrambled or hard boiled. Staff were very helpful and dishes promptly refilled. We didn’t use the restaurant for dinner as the menu looked pretty basic but there are restaurants within walking distance. All in all, nothing special but I would still recommend it for a short stay.

Was a very nice experience. Near the wall, lots of shops around. Some great food options also. It was well looked after and super clean. Staff were friendly and helpful with any problems.

Located in central of Berlin, this is probably the tallest hotel in town. They have a really nice view over the city. Very convenient with metro and all the restaurants and shops around. Rooms are clean but if you live high up, it’s hard to get mobile signal. Wifi doesn’t work so well when a lot of people are using it. One of the biggest issue if you live higher than 20th floor, the elevator won’t stop at your floor for so long. Not sure how the elevators work, you may have to wait 10 mins for getting down to lobby at busy hours (etc lunch/ dinner hour) Check in was easy and quick, and staff is friendly also.

Everything without a problem. Good breakfast. Elevator. Only a few parking spaces. You can park on the street. Pleasant surroundings of single-family houses. Perfect for a short stay. Quiet, no parties.

... zum einen war das Restaurant oben im Turm nicht geöffnet, was beim Buchen aber nicht rüberkommt. Und dann wirkt das Hotel doch ein wenig abgerockt. Das Zimmer war gut, aber die Sitzgelegenheiten im Frühstücksbereich und unten in der Lobby hatten doch schon die besten Jahre hinter sich. Also: alles in allem ok, aber eben nicht perfekt.
