Hotel berhampiran Al-Nur Moschee, Berlin

I stayed in the hotel on 8 December for one night with my wife, 3 years old son and 2 months infant daughter. Upon check-in we received an upgrade and a welcome drinks voucher being a Platinum member of Accor. I informed the reception that I would like to have a late check-out up to 2 PM because I will be outside at other part of the city for a meeting and might be late in afternoon. The reception agreed to it and told me that Platinum members have free late check-out. I also asked if the hotel honors Accor Ambassadors and the hotel refused that they are a franchise and they do not. The room given to us was Room 54 and it was good and hot as per the weather condition, 0 degrees outside. The beds were comfortable. After check-in and leaving the luggage in the room, I came to the lobby and I was working on my laptop when my wife informed me by phone that the bathroom was having a bad smell and the shower area had a problem, the water does not drain. I checked it and came back to the reception. The manager herself was available at reception and I informed her about the issue. She said she will get it checked. I went back to the lobby to work on my laptop. Despite complaining, the issue was not solved neither we were given any feedback. Next day I could not take a shower before going to work because there was plenty of water from the previous day. I tried to fix the drainage by myself but the water was taking a lot of time to drain. I left the hotel for the meeting. Around 11:45 AM my wife called me and said that the hotel wants her to check-out. I told her that I will send an email to the reception, if they come again tell them that I sent them an email and if they insist, come to the lobby with the luggage but it was difficult for her to come out with the luggage and the infant at same time. My wife had a health issue and it was not possible for her. I did not had local German calls allowed on roaming. I only had an internet SIM for EU. I excused the Deputy GM of the company I had a meeting with and sent the hotel an email. The Deputy GM asked me if there is a problem and I explained her that the hotel wants my wife to check-out now and being a Platinum member the late check-out is possible and I already had it discussed yesterday. She offered me to talk with the hotel directly using her mobile. She dialed the number and phone was on speaker. The phone was answered by the manager herself. I was told by the hotel that the hotel is fully booked but they lied, I checked later and several rooms of all categories were available including the one I stayed. I made a reservation for the same category of the room I am staying in just to show them that they lied and that the hotel is not fully booked. Reservation was late canceled as cancelation was free until 6:00 PM. I returned to the hotel as soon as I can and we checked-in to another Accor hotel. We are staying in Accor hotels since a long time and we never had such issues. In short the said hotel is

We were left a little confused about this hotel. My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights visiting family close by hence the reason we had to stay in this area. We had mixed feelings about the hotel but I would stay again. It appears this hotel belongs to a chain of hotels. I suspect that the write up of this hotel on booking sites is generic to cover all of their hotels. The internet shows it has a restaurant and considering the guests can come from anywhere, the word restaurant means different things to different people. In this case it meant the breakfast room and not somewhere you could have lunch and dinner. However the Italian restaurant next door Il Nouvo is amazing. I had emailed on two occasions previously to ask whether or not they supply any type of transfer from the airport as it is quite expensive. I never received a response. That was disappointing. I don't necessarily know if the request goes to his hotel or to the head office but it is poor poor service. We booked directly through the hotel, and it was reasonably priced for the area and included breakfast. On arrival we were treated great and service was great. There is a nice seating area in the foyer and at reception there is water with lemons for guests as well as a fruit bowl full of fruit. I note that staffing changed regularly at the desk within the time we were there so service wasn't always consistent. I'm not sure if there is an employment issue as we were told that some staff weren't familiar with the hotel as they were from another site. At one point I went to get a water, this may be trivial for some, but it hadn't been filled for a day. There were just lemons sitting on the bottom. I did ask reception if I could get some water. She filled it but it was the same lemons that had been there for 3 days. I note the next day it was refreshed. The bar which has drinks available was another mixed feeling. The reception staff operated the bar, it was situated behind them. I don't think it's their fault but they didn't know some of the drinks that were on the menu nor did they know how to make some of the drinks. One find young man was going to make an Aperol Spritz, with orange juice, as this is what the recipe said. We stopped him from doing that. There was a great little sparking drink they ran out of which was never replenished. Some of the drinks on their list, they didn't have. When a wanted a small sparkling wine, first time I was charged for the bottle and provided with the glass and the small bottle. Second time round served by a different staff member he poured me a drink and charged me the bottle price but kept half of it. Again, I don't think it's their fault, it's some sort of lack of training. This doesn't take away from their kindness and their effort. We spent 3 nights in the hotel, from june 14 to june 17 in the hopes that we could rest and sleep a little longer than we usually do on a working day. Instead, we woke up at 9:00 on our first morning (june 15) to the sound of hammering and repairments. We tried to ignore it, like it's a one time thing. The second morning, again at 9:00 but this time to drilling sounds. We count take it anymore so we called the reception to ask them whats going on, why cant this be done at least around noon, so we can properly rest in the hotel, that adverrtises itself as ”Ibis Styles Berlin Treptow provides quiet, comfortably equipped rooms and conference facilities.” (Quoted from ***********). The receptionist just told us, that at least its not 6 in the morning, 9 should be enough for everyone to rest, and thats it. No info was given about these reparations on any site (accor, ***********, etc). On booking, it only warns about the restaurant not working which I think its not as important to know as having to listen to a drilling sound in my room in the morning. The elevator shaft is on the 9th floor, and they didnt care to warn anyone by email or in person, that these rooms are going to hear these repairs more (or they didnt consider not renting those rooms in this period). This is were I want to also state, that there were no infos given on the fact, that there is a whole construction happening right next to the hotel, of an actual skyscraper or similar sized building. Its not super loud, but you can hear it with windows closed. Also, the sink was not working, and I wonder, how the cleaners did not notice it (tip: they didnt clean it, as it would have filled up instantly if they did). When we left, another receptionist asked us how our stay was, and we explained everything to him. His reply was, I quote: ”we are really sorry, but our manager has been really busy with a lot of things, so he couldn't make time to update the webpage/booking.com” which I find kind of a pointless thing to ad. I think properly informing your paying customers regarding what they will get for their money should be priority number 1, since your whole business is built around those people paying for your service. Anyways, as we told him too, if we knew about the elevator having to be fixed at 9 o'clok for 2 of the 3 days we stayed there, we wouldn't have chosen that hotel. Following this, we wrote an email to Accor, but Ibis replied instead (with accor in cc at least) wich I will add as an image, but I want to extract this part: ”We cannot stop the construction work as it is urgent. We can't close the hotel for that either. 9 am in the morning on a normal working day is a reasonable time and normal working hours agreed with the hotel manager. We are sorry that you could not sleep in longer than 9 o'clock and therefore did not have a pleasant stay. However, we very much hope for your understanding that we cannot do anything about the current circumstances either.” We replied

Für zwei Nächte an einem langen Wochenende haben wir uns das IBB Berlin Airport ausgesucht - vor allem, weil es das letzte Hotel mit verträglichen Preisen war. Das Hotel liegt etwa 12 Minuten Fußweg von der Haltestelle Schöneweide entfernt. Der Weg ist eben und flach. Eine Straßenbahn (27/67) fährt von Schöneweide aus bis direkt vor den Hotel-Eingang. Von Schöneweide aus gibt es reichlich Verbindungen zum Flughafen und in die Stadt. Bis in die Stadt, z.B. Potsdamer Platz, ist man allerdings mindestens eine halbe Stunde bis Stunde unterwegs. Im direkten Umfeld des Hotels gibt es absolut gar nichts von touristischem Interesse: Keine Bars, Kneipen, Clubs, Restaurants, Imbisse, Dönerbuden, Supermärkte, Kioske, Spätis. Das ist alles an der Haltestelle Schöneweide. Das Hotel ist ein flacher, langer Klotz mit Zimmern auf beiden Seiten eines Flurs. Die Zimmer sind schlicht und funktional eingerichtet: Bett, große Ablage, Hocker, zwei kleine Nachttische, eine kleine Schrankwand. Das Bett ist relativ hart, und wir fanden es etwas klein. Das Zimmer lässt sich durch große Vorhänge zwar abdunkeln, es wird aber nicht ganz dunkel, da auf beiden Seiten vor den Fenstern Lampen stehen. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern wird es relativ still, bei geöffneten Fenstern muss man mit mittlerem Verkehrslärm rechnen. Lauter ist es vom Flur her: Die Zimmertüren fallen auf den letzten fünf Zentimetern laut krachend zu, so dass teilweise die Wände wackeln - und so ab acht oder neun hört man das dauerthaft. Neben dem Bett gibt es Steckdosen und individuelle Nachtischlampen. Auch an der Ablage gibt es eine Steckdose. Das WLAN fanden wir stabil und schnell, der Speedtest sagt 50 MBit. Video-Calls waren unterbrechungsfrei möglich. Die Zimmer haben keine Klimaanlage, und wurden selbst im Mai schon relativ warm. Das Bad ist mittelgroß, und mit einer relativ großen Dusche ausgestattet. Am Spiegel gibt es eine große Ablage, sonst gibt es im Bad keine Ablagen. Den Wasserdruck fanden wir gut, die Temperatur blieb stabil, war jedoch eher warm als heiss. Die Dusche hat eine Handbrause, wir haben es jedoch nicht geschafft, diese zu aktivieren. Da die Dusche offen ist, findet sich danach ein wenig Wasser auf dem Bad-Boden wieder, man muss ein bisschen aufpassen. Bad und Zimmer waren sehr sauber, alles Mobiliar in Ordnung. Das Personal ist freundlich und zugänglich. Wir würden rein vom Hotel hier erneut übernachten, und es auch für Flughafen-Anfahrten berücksichtigen - für die Lage am Rande von allem ziehen wir jedoch einen Stern ab.

Stayed here while visiting our daughter, it is literally a couple of steps from a U Bahn station so could not be more convenient. The staff were very helpful and professional, with a 24 hour reception. You have a code to enter your room which is great so no keys or cards to lose! Our room was spotless and there were nice quality sheets on the bed. The room was very warm which was great as it was -6 C outside but we were also able to open the window for fresh air which we loved as a lot of hotels do not allow this.We didn't eat breakfast so cannot comment on this but there are snacks and drinks available to buy in the reception if you need them. Will definitely stay again when we visit.

It’s a really nice location and great service. However, better be aware with the strangers inside the room as my room experienced a guy who came in without a card and the next day some of our roommate lost their thing. Besides, it’s still a great hostel, I met lots of great friends there, especially if you are alone, it’s a really great opportunity to hangout with others.

This is a modern functional hotel (which we booked via BA holidays) apparently popular for conferences, so you get the picture. Four of us went for a city break. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Gendarmenmarkt. Spittelmart U-bahn is 2 minutes away. Easy and welcoming check-in. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower although the wash basin had the depth of a birdbath. What was surprising was the amount of wasted space in the bedroom with a great void between the bed and the door which could have been used for some proper drawers and shelves. As it was, there was only 1 drawer and 3 shelves, one of which was useful only if you were 2 metres tall (see photo). The wardrobe, if you could call it that, was an open hanging space, but it was situated at right angles to a padded seat (see photo) making accessibility difficult and there was only one chair in the room. Tea-making facilities were available but instant coffee only and powdered milk. We used to take a small jug of milk from breakfast and keep it in the fridge. There was a very good and comprehensive breakfast with just about everything one could want. As a morning tea drinker I cannot comment on the coffee which came from a machine, but there was an excellent selection of leaf teas. The hot food was OK, but nothing cooked to order so that eggs were either warm scrambled or hard boiled. Staff were very helpful and dishes promptly refilled. We didn’t use the restaurant for dinner as the menu looked pretty basic but there are restaurants within walking distance. All in all, nothing special but I would still recommend it for a short stay.

Everything without a problem. Good breakfast. Elevator. Only a few parking spaces. You can park on the street. Pleasant surroundings of single-family houses. Perfect for a short stay. Quiet, no parties.

A hostel like accommodation. It is situated about 15 minutes walk distance from the central train station. Basic amenities are included in the room. It is highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay on a budget!

A very affordable option that you should look at if you do not mind the distance. It is right outside of the main city, but it’s clean and safe, there’s a fantastic local pub down the road.
