Hotel berhampiran Game Science Center, Berlin

Extra Large Studio with Kitchenette - so glad we went for this option. Very spacious, with balcony, extra large bed. Everything was wonderful. Exceptionally clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Decent shower, and plenty of toiletries supplied (big dispenser bottles, so no chance of running out). Extra towels, loo roll, tea/coffee supplies etc are freely available from the Essentials Closet. Kitchenette has all the basics for simple meal prep, however a strainer /collander would be a welcome addition. Good WiFi and TV, you can cast your own streaming apps from your device. A little welcome pack of some beers, fruit juices and sweets in the room - a very nice touch. The temperature in the city was up into the 30's, but the room never felt overly hot, however a fan is provided if required. Location great, most landmarks within half hour walking distance or a short u-bahn ride (station is almost on doorstep). Plenty of grocery shops, cafes etc nearby. Building, internal doors, and room itself accessed with code entry. The building felt safe and secure. Apparently there was a fire alarm at one point, but we were out at the time and was all resolved and no issues by the time we returned. Only slight *******, the kitchen tap was slightly loose, and the balcony door a little fiddly to close, but no biggie really. First time in Berlin, absolutely loved it, will definitely be back and will definitely stay at this accommodation again. Thank you, Numa, for a very enjoyable stay!

Wir sind vom Hauptbahnhof mit der U-Bahn angereist. Problemlos. Das Hotel liegt ein klein wenig versteckt in einer Seitenstraße. Nebenan ist ein Kindergarten - sehr schön gestaltet, der Ausblick vom Balkon auf die gegenüberliegenden Wohnhäuser ist interessant (dazwischen liegt eine große Grünanlage). Die Einrichtung selbst wirkt auf den ersten Blick etwas düster. Ist sie nicht. Alle(s) ist freundlich, sauber und für einen Urlaub in Berlin wunderbar geeignet. Da sie sehr zentral liegt trotzdem die nögtige Ruhe bietet, die vermutlich jeder nach einem langen Tag im turbulengten Berlin genießen mag. Also, gerne wieder. Auch wenn ich mit der komischen Kaffeemaschine (Nespresso) so meine Schwierigkeiten hatte. Eine einfache wäre mir lieber gewesen! Tja, das liegt wohl am Alter?

This hostel does not care about its guests. The customer service was horrible all around. During my stay- I saw one person try to check in and tell the management that their room had no clean/ available beds- to which management replied: oh yeah that happens sometimes. Then proceeded to tell the girl that she needed to find out which bed was hers herself and then wait hours for it to be cleaned. My friend also came to check in and showed her confirmation emails and everything- to which she was then bullied and ridiculed by the staff telling her they do not care about her emails she does not have a reservation in their system and since they are overbooked they cannot offer her anything. So she needed to find a new place to stay late at night at the busiest weekend in Berlin and she was not even offered an apology. Only bullying. Since my friend could not stay I asked for a refund so I could go to another place and stay with her. They told me they would address my problem the next day and let me know what could be done. When I asked them to give me an answer the same day since I do not want to book another place and have to pay for both places they firmly responded that they did not understand why I was upset since they told me they would deal with my problem the next day through email. Do I even need to say that I never received a reply to my email or any other form or communication from them??????

The hotel is clean, modern and well-staffed. What was missing for us was warmth and the expected level of hospitality. During our 5-day stay, nobody ever said hello, goodbye or communicated in any manner unless we asked a direct question. When I checked out, the only thing the receptionist said was to remind me I had borrowed an electrical adaptor and to return it. I travel frequently and expect hotels to be warm and welcoming. Also, when I checked in I was given no hotel information other than the E25 breakfast hours. I'm sure it's wonderful, but I since only have coffee, there is no reason to pay 25 euros. Because we didn't go to breakfast and the receptionist didn't tell us, we missed many features of the hotel we might have enjoyed. To further our disappointing stay, there was no printed hotel info in our room other than a book about the featured artist. I hate QR codes, but when I scanned the hotel's, it gave sp**** information. The hotel lobby isn't welcoming and I didn't go to the bar until my last night so was unaware of all the things Art'otel would have liked me to know. The magazine was interesting and beautiful. Why isn't there a copy in guest rooms? The local information and maps were available in the breakfast area, but we didn't go there and weren't offered them by hotel staff. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the pictures of beautiful bathrooms with tubs. Sadly, the website fails to mention that tubs are only available in expensive suites. Our visit, while nice, was overpriced. We paid for hospitality and a good room, but only the room was up to the expected standards. Very disappointing.

It’s a really nice location and great service. However, better be aware with the strangers inside the room as my room experienced a guy who came in without a card and the next day some of our roommate lost their thing. Besides, it’s still a great hostel, I met lots of great friends there, especially if you are alone, it’s a really great opportunity to hangout with others.

The hotel is very well located next to a metro station and in front of it there is a bus, M85 that takes you to the main train station. The Turkish place next door offers amazing fresh kebabs. The city tour bus is just 20 min walk or couple of stations ride. The room was clean, the breakfast was having good varieties. The only missing part was the air conditioner, but the weather was good and we could sleep the night without it.

Perfect location to stay while in Berlin. My wife and I booked not knowing its right across the street from the last remaining section of the Berlin Wall. Bonus! The hotel is very clean, has friendly service and is priced better than any surrounding hotels. The breakfast was excellent and the room was cleaned daily. The location is teriffic, nearby to a subway station to get around the city. There's some bad data out there regarding parking: You have 3 options. 1.) €17 in a parking garage right next to the hotel. 2.) €10 at the East Side Mall, a 5 minute walk away. 3.) Free, near the wall but its location is unknown. East Side Mall was our preference. No need to look anywhere else. Book it!

I recently visited this hotel with my boyfriend and I was very impressed. We arrived a little before check-in and we were allowed to go to our room. the room was very spacious with an extremely comfy bed and amazing shower. Also on the last day our flight was not for a while and were were allowed to wait in the lobby after checkout which had lovely sofas and seating areas. It was quiet and there were people working in there. The staff were very lobely and was great for the price.

The front desk staff was very accommodating in getting me into my room quite early after an overnight flight. Rooms leave much to be desired. Beds are very tiny - what a toddler would sleep on. Beds are very, very firm. Room and bathroom weren't very clean. I had my 'do not disturb' sign on my door and received a knock from housekeeping. Repeatedly. When I went to the door, thinking the sign must have fallen off, the housekeeper pushed past me, handed me my 'do not disturb' sign and insisted I replace it with the 'clean my room' sign. It is a 20-30 minute drive to city center. The area is questionable for walking around on your own as a female traveler.

A very affordable option that you should look at if you do not mind the distance. It is right outside of the main city, but it’s clean and safe, there’s a fantastic local pub down the road.
