I cannot recommend this farmhouse enough! If you are visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, staying here is an absolute must. The location is perfect, featuring a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can sit and look directly at the Great Wall in total peace. The room itself was modern, and clean, with a great AC, but set right in the middle of a charming, authentic farm. But the absolute highlight of my stay was the host family. The hospitality is unmatched. The Owner Lady of the house cooked some of the most delicious, massive, and authentic meals I’ve had in China, and she went completely out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The food was also unbelievably affordable. The Owner truly went above and beyond for me. When I was struggling to find a reasonably priced car back to Beijing, he spent hours late at night helping me on WeChat, making sure I wasn't overcharged by local drivers. He eventually helped me find a cheap, highly scenic train route back to the city and personally drove me to the local station. They treated a solo foreign traveler like absolute family. If you want a genuine, heartwarming, and frictionless experience at the Great Wall, book this place. 太好吃了 and 谢谢 to the amazing hosts!”

The owner was incredibly friendly and hospitable as soon as I entered his premises. He went above and beyond and treated me like family. I had a migraine attack on the first day and it disrupted my plans. He took me to the local pharmacy in his car and looked after me. He’s very helpful and was attentive to my needs. The Great Wall is only 5 minutes away in the car and he arranges the taxi driver to take you and it’s a cheap price. The room was very good. I booked the two bed room as I like when the shower floor is separate to the toilet floor and has its own door too. Definitely book the place if you want to visit this section of the wall. There were very few people on the wall the two times I went in the morning and afternoon. He has a restaurant place in the main building with some food options. You’ll have a great time!

I don't normally bother to write reviews, but this place is truly deserving of one. Our stay at Anaya was amazing to say the least. The place was so beautiful and serene, rivaling many of the luxury ryokans in Japan but with their own modern twist. We stayed in the queen room, and it’s fairly simple but more than adequate and comfortable. The in-room drinks and snacks were delicious, and they provided an additional special treat each day, which was an experience on its own. There wasn't a television, but we never felt that there was a need for one. It was a place where you can truly focus on unwinding and take things slow, but when needed, the Wi-Fi speed is sufficient for streaming on your own devices. The hotel is unique where you can just do everything within their compounds without needing to travel anywhere else. We really loved the Japanese bookstore, which is a must-visit, and spend some time admiring the garden next to it. They provide activities as well, so you will never feel like there is nothing to do. The spas are also highly recommended, which in fact warrants a trip all on its own even if you do not stay at the hotel. One of the spas is a re-purposed factory, and it's a truly unique experience which will appeal to architecture enthusiasts. Food was a little pricey, but you have a lot of options, and the ones we had were great. They even had their own provision shop for you to stock up on snacks and drinks. One of the main factors that truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service from Zhi Hui. She went above and beyond to share her personal contact in order to make sure we were well taken care of, answering our questions promptly and making arrangements for us. She even followed up with us after our departure to make sure we arrived at our next destination safely. The other staff around the hotel, including the restaurants, were also very friendly and helpful. There was even a sweet young lady selling what they harvested from the mountains as well as small snack stores, one of which was operated by a very friendly lady selling Japanese-style desserts. Our interactions with the people all felt really genuine and sincere. The experience wouldn't have been so wonderful if it weren't for our very pleasant experience with the people working in and around the hotel. They normally use a multi-seater buggy to ferry guests around, but when we were caught in the rain, they actually arranged a car to pick us up instead. Anaya Lanya Hotel is simply extraordinary, and we cannot recommend it enough.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and had a really positive experience overall. The room was spotless throughout my stay, with crisp, clean bedding, fresh linen, and well-maintained towels. The bathroom and amenities were equally clean, and the smart room features worked perfectly. I especially loved the “sleep mode” function, which turned off the lights and closed the curtains automatically — such a thoughtful touch that made it easy to wind down without even getting out of bed. The location is also a strong point. It’s close to supermarkets and smaller local restaurants, which was very convenient day-to-day. While it’s a bit further from the main built-up city area, it’s still within walking distance of livelier spots. What makes it particularly special is its proximity to nature — being close to the mountains and nearby national parks is a big advantage if you enjoy that kind of setting. In terms of amenities, I really appreciated the free laundry (wash and dry), as well as the steamer provided for clothes — both were incredibly useful during a longer stay. One thing to note is that this branch doesn’t appear to have an on-site restaurant, even though one may be mentioned in the listing. A gym and spa are also advertised, but I didn’t personally see or use them, so I can’t confirm their availability. My only real downside was that the walls are quite thin, and noise from other guests could sometimes be heard. However, the staff handled this situation very well when it arose. What truly stood out to me was the staff. They were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated that they spoke English well, which isn’t always the case even in larger cities. They went above and beyond — even adding me on WeChat to assist with questions, provide recommendations, and check in when needed. Their kindness and attentiveness made a big difference in my stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who value cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and genuinely excellent service.

The atmosphere was very warm and homely, which made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were always willing to help with any requests and made us feel well taken care of. Our room was the smallest one available, but it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The property itself is quite spacious, with two lovely courtyards where guests can relax. Barbecue facilities are provided, and there are plenty of tables and chairs, making it a great place to spend time with family or friends. The swimming pool was a bit too cold for our liking, but that was not a big issue 😊 Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to others. 🇷🇺Мы отдыхали здесь три дня и остались очень довольны. Нам особенно понравилась теплая, домашняя атмосфера, благодаря которой отдых получился уютным и комфортным. Хозяева очень доброжелательные и гостеприимные. It’s a family-owned place, they are extremely nice and helpful, it’s ideal for the Great wall trekking. They came to fetch us at the atation and took care . Don’t miss the broiled trout and the aunerginea for dinner, they are fantastic

Amazing guesthouse and could not ask for better location to the Jinshanling Great Wall (1 minute walk away from the entrance gates). Very kind accommodating owner and staff, great dinners as well, comfortable room, and even pick up and drop off from train station. Perfect place to stay to see the wall, and the Jinshanling wall was absolutely amazing, and fairly quiet with less people. Highly recommend this place.

Mereka sangat akomodatif untuk keperluan kami juga kerana kami mempunyai beberapa daripada kami yang vegetarian. Sarapan yang disediakan pada waktu pagi sangat baik dan sangat menyegarkan. Sihat juga. Jika anda mahukan lebih banyak perkara yang anda suka, mereka akan mengeluarkannya semula. Kami makan di restoran pada waktu malam juga, dan makanannya sedap. Bilik ini mempunyai semua kemudahan yang anda perlukan. Sayang sekali spa tidak dibuka semasa kami berada di sana (kerana penyelenggaraan). Absolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round! Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing. They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice. One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so! Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us. Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes). All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon! 特别喜欢这里的服务，在这里住的很舒服也非常开心。好美的地方和人，令我都马上想在订下一趟旅程来这里了！好可惜我们只住了一晚因为我们本来只是想爬金山岭，如果能待多几天那该多好。。简直完美! ❤️
