"Comfortable stay with helpful front desk staff. Floor a little creaky and bathroom really small. Room size was adequate though. Location is good with heating throughout the hotel. It gets dark around 430pm in the winter and the Happo One ski resort closes at 330pm."

PPengguna TetamuAbsolutely gorgeous environment and atmosphere with traditional Japanese styled rooms that confer the most relaxing and peaceful experience during our stay. Our room is equipped with private onsen facing the snowy mountains offering another level of unparalleled tranquility and comfort after a long day of skiiing.
Also worth mentioning that the staff at the entire premise are so attentive and caring that they would ask about our needs on amenities and restaurant options - they even gave us a full catalogue of restaurants nearby when we were wondering what to eat at night.
Overall, the experience was exceptional and I would highly recommend the stay in this hotel

CChristy HFUNGMy friend’s luggage got misplaced to another bus during our way from airport to Hakuba! The staff was super helpful and helped us to contact the bus driver and got it to be deliver back to us. The location is super convenient! Just right in front a chair lift. The staff are all super friendly. The room is clean & big enough for 3 ppl.

LLouis VillaCheck-in and check-out times are really outrageous at this hotel. For what you are paying, I believe, is mainly the hot springs, easy ski rentals (extra fee) and depends if you choose their food or not, but the breakfast is very short time. The rooms look and are very cheap. Their pillows feel like worthy of $10 value. The bathroom area is not dimmable. The check-out time is at 10am unless you pay 2000yen per hour haha for longer time. Breakfast is only until 9:30am haha. I won’t say more but this was worth of a review.

GGuest UserThe location is very good, a few tens of meters away is a free bus stop, you can go to various ski resorts, the boss is very enthusiastic, can provide the village station shuttle and a lot of help you need, we stayed for three nights, arranged a two-story suite, The toilet kitchen living room is independent, the tatami is upstairs, very warm and warm, next time you choose to go here

PPengguna TetamuLoved the private onsen. The ladies were so helpful and attentive in the hotel. We never ate dinner there as it’s a French restaurant and we wanted Japanese food. The breakfast was brought up to the room and consisted of fresh baked croissants and butter and jam and coffee. NOT a full breakfast.

We had an excellent experience at Garden Pension Obogurgl. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Hakuba Goryu lifts, which made getting on the mountain super easy every day. The pension itself is cozy, clean, and peaceful, with a lovely garden that adds to the charm.
Our room was warm and comfortable, with plenty of space for ski gear, and the communal areas had a relaxed, homely vibe. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with local tips and transport advice.
We especially enjoyed being able to walk everywhere—whether it was to the nearby convenience stores, local restaurants, or just strolling among the beautiful pine trees. The large cherry blossom tree out the front added a special touch to the peaceful surroundings. If you're after a quiet, scenic, and welcoming place to stay in Hakuba Goryu, Garden Pension Obogurgl is a fantastic choice.

CChadd LimMy wife and I had an excellent stay at hotel hakuba. It was easy for us to access the neighbouring ski resorts using the free shuttle bus provided by the ski resorts. The breakfast had a good spread and an even better view. One negative feedback is that the beds in the double room is quite uncomfortable.

WWeiting ChristineStayed late June to see the stunning Itawake view. No skiing, just soaking in Hakuba’s nature. Hotel was peaceful, surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing walks. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was clean, a bit small for what we booked. Breakfast was okay, mix of Japanese and Western. The onsen was the real highlight — so refreshing after a day out. Even without snow, Mominoki was a great base. Cozy, quiet, and welcoming. Would stay again.
