"Comfortable stay with helpful front desk staff. Floor a little creaky and bathroom really small. Room size was adequate though. Location is good with heating throughout the hotel. It gets dark around 430pm in the winter and the Happo One ski resort closes at 330pm."

PPengguna TetamuAbsolutely gorgeous environment and atmosphere with traditional Japanese styled rooms that confer the most relaxing and peaceful experience during our stay. Our room is equipped with private onsen facing the snowy mountains offering another level of unparalleled tranquility and comfort after a long day of skiiing.
Also worth mentioning that the staff at the entire premise are so attentive and caring that they would ask about our needs on amenities and restaurant options - they even gave us a full catalogue of restaurants nearby when we were wondering what to eat at night.
Overall, the experience was exceptional and I would highly recommend the stay in this hotel

PPengguna TetamuThe staff tried their best but their English proficiency was a problem. Having to catch shuttle buses to the ski fields every day was frustrating - they were usually very crowded and infrequent (even though we travelled there out of peak season). The hotel was out of the ski boot size that one of our group needed. There was very limited (hardly any) vegetarian food available even though we had requested it before departure (some of our group were vegetarians). There were no English speaking television stations. The hotel was beautifully presented with great housecleaning and the onsen was much appreciated.

GGuest UserThe location is very good, a few tens of meters away is a free bus stop, you can go to various ski resorts, the boss is very enthusiastic, can provide the village station shuttle and a lot of help you need, we stayed for three nights, arranged a two-story suite, The toilet kitchen living room is independent, the tatami is upstairs, very warm and warm, next time you choose to go here

PPengguna TetamuLoved the private onsen. The ladies were so helpful and attentive in the hotel. We never ate dinner there as it’s a French restaurant and we wanted Japanese food. The breakfast was brought up to the room and consisted of fresh baked croissants and butter and jam and coffee. NOT a full breakfast.

We had an excellent experience at Garden Pension Obogurgl. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Hakuba Goryu lifts, which made getting on the mountain super easy every day. The pension itself is cozy, clean, and peaceful, with a lovely garden that adds to the charm.
Our room was warm and comfortable, with plenty of space for ski gear, and the communal areas had a relaxed, homely vibe. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with local tips and transport advice.
We especially enjoyed being able to walk everywhere—whether it was to the nearby convenience stores, local restaurants, or just strolling among the beautiful pine trees. The large cherry blossom tree out the front added a special touch to the peaceful surroundings. If you're after a quiet, scenic, and welcoming place to stay in Hakuba Goryu, Garden Pension Obogurgl is a fantastic choice.

PPunziizThis hotel is beyond my imagination. OMG ! The place was so amazing I chose Chalet with my family member 8 persons. They really in love with the place and all speak the same that we will definitely come back again ! The owner has a service to bring you to the supermarket at 4 pm everyday. That's awesome we can do cooking and enjoy precious meals with our family. There are not many houses here so it is the best option for anyone who looking for the cozy places and can also enjoy the wonderful snowy view. Thank you Ms. Hana to take care of us along the stay ! :)))

The receptionist is friendly. Check-in and check-out were fast and hassle free.Room is big. We stay a night only here. But looking forward to go back to Hakuba in green season and winter. At least must spend 3 nights there!
Driving is recommended to explore Hakuba.

PPengguna TetamuWe have stayed at this hotel for the past two Decembers. Overall, it is reasonably priced, conveniently located near the ski resorts, and has a bus shuttle stop right in front that runs between the hotel and the ski areas. The onsen is a great bonus, especially after a day of skiing.
However, I must say that the breakfast is not as good as last year, and the service has declined slightly compared to our previous stay. The open-air onsen is not as clean as before, and the indoor onsen also shows signs of neglect, with used towels piled in the corner.

WWeiting ChristineStayed late June to see the stunning Itawake view. No skiing, just soaking in Hakuba’s nature. Hotel was peaceful, surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing walks. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was clean, a bit small for what we booked. Breakfast was okay, mix of Japanese and Western. The onsen was the real highlight — so refreshing after a day out. Even without snow, Mominoki was a great base. Cozy, quiet, and welcoming. Would stay again.
