The overall stay was good with very warm welcome and tourist advice from the front desk staff (Martina) and the welcome drink corner. However, there are a few things that we wish the hotel could improve. First, the shower area is highly slippery. Thought the floor material for the shower area is not right for that purpose. Second, when we checked out, we asked the front desk staff (new ones that we haven’t met before) to help call a taxi for our family to the train station. The staff said the taxi should arrive in 20 min. After waiting for 20min, passing the time when the taxi should have arrived, we asked the staff to check the status of the taxi. Then the staff told us that the taxi would not come and there was no commitment from the taxi driver to take the order and advised us to call Uber by ourselves. We were astonished and disappointed as they should have told us earlier about the unreliability of calling a taxi. As the Uber required another 15min of wait, to make sure we could catch the train, we walked with our kids and heavy luggage all the way to the train station in a rainy and windy day!

Hotel too expensive for the services offered, pool too small

There was a large construction site in the back yard of the hotel, which was not mentioned in the hotel description. Unfortunately, you could hear the construction site. The rooms were also a bit noisy. In the bathroom, the tile in the shower was broken in the middle and there was a half hole, which was a risk of injury. You also couldn't close the bathroom door because you couldn't get it open. The wellness area was nicely decorated, but on the first evening there were lots of white pieces (no idea what they were) on the floor in the pool. The whirlpool function stirred up all the water and eventually they were washed out. Many people use the sauna without a towel, which is why the wood is a bit "shriveled". But it was nicely done. At breakfast, when it was very busy, the man often couldn't keep up with clearing up all the things. Then you really have to wait longer for new juices, croissants, toast, fruit and scrambled eggs to arrive. You could make real Belgian waffles yourself, though. The liquid dough is next to the device and you can just pour it in, close the device and turn it over. Otherwise the staff is really nice and helpful and it is also really clean.

Nice hotel, nice room, very nice pool and sauna. Definitely worth it, near Zuidstation, yet quiet area.

Nice reception by friendly staff, spacious lobby, nice rooms, clean, breakfast is extensive enough, swimming pool, small but still nice. Surroundings with many antiques and galleries, nice restaurants and close to the Central Station.

Nice weekend with friends, the staff is really welcoming.
