First and foremost, which will bring me back, is all the employees I dealt with were fantastic! I was in a new room. I had to call because the lights kept coming on in the main room due to the motion detector. It picked up motion when I was in bed. It was impossible for me to turn the lights off, to turn the motion detector function off. The solution was to send someone to my room at 10 PM to put black tape over the motion detector. The other motion detectors had the same issue; I just didn't turn the kitchen lights or the bathroom lights on while in bed! The toilet paper holder was coming off the wall. One of the hallway closet doors would not close. The bathroom sink faucet was not aligned correctly. When you turned the faucet off, the water ran back under the faucet and created a puddle on the counter between the faucet and the sink. The base of the wall next to the front door, in the main room, didn't seem to be straight. Breakfast (eggs and sausage) on the second morning was cold. I don't think the flame canisters had been lit, or they were so close to empty they didn't put out enough heat.

Di pihak saya pula, saya rasa saya keliru dengan tidak memberikan maklumat hubungan saya (nampaknya). Saya mendapat pegangan di kaunter penerimaan tetamu dan wanita yang saya ajak bercakap adalah sangat bersopan dan telah meminta maaf terlebih dahulu atas kelewatan. Kami diberitahu bahawa bilik kami akan siap pada pukul 5 petang dan bukannya waktu bertentangan pada pukul 4. Kami akhirnya tiba pada pukul 5 petang, jadi masa tidak menjadi masalah. Apabila kami tiba, semuanya agak bersih kecuali beberapa tuala yang mempunyai kesan coklat padanya. Kami kehabisan kertas tandas, tuala kertas dan keperluan kecil lain. Kami boleh mendapatkan perkara ini pada keesokan harinya, yang sangat bagus. Aduan saya yang lain ialah beberapa perkara tertinggal; iaitu; seseorang meninggalkan sepasang Crocs mereka, dan beberapa sabun bar di bilik mandi. Walaupun perkara-perkara ini adalah masalah kecil kepada saya, ia pasti tidak cukup untuk membuat saya hilang mengantuk. Lokasi: 10/10. 5 minit (atau kurang) berjalan kaki ke pantai. Saya pasti masih akan menempah tempat ini lagi selagi isu ini tidak menjadi isu pada masa hadapan.

The front desk person was incredibly rude/disrespectful at check in- I hope there isn't a racism issue. There was another check in person at the same time that sounded absolutely wonderful (I noticed how she was interacting with those that checked in and she was very professional/wonderful!)- I regret not waiting for her to check-in instead. It was awful watching the couple who was checking in front of me needing to request/begging for the bottles of water and chocolate that is complimentry for hilton honors members when it really should have been offered to begin with (how embarressing to have to ask when it is normally offered for those that qualify)- the other front desk person had offered it to everyone she checked in without the need to ask which is much more professional. There was an issue with my room that was never addressed, paying about $200 per night, this is unacceptable. That check in person either needs to be re-trained with professionalism classes or needs another career that doesn't involve interacting with people. As for the hotel itself, it's a good stay for the location, professionalism with that one front desk check in person needs to be addressed, other than that the stay would have been wonderful.
We stayed here for a couple of nights for Memorial Day weekend. The ocean front suites we stayed in are on the first floor, which gave us a nice picnic area in front of our patio with a direct view of the sandy beach and ocean. We liked our room so much that we barely left it. The Ox and Ocean restaurant was only steps away, which made it really convenient to just order takeout and eat at our patio. The underground parking was also very convenient as it was just short flight of stairs or elevator ride to our room. Hotel staff was very courteous and accommodating to us when we requested a change of towels and toiletries during our stay. While we had some minor issues with the temperature controls in trying to keep the room cool at night, this was easily remedied by keeping the windows open and letting the cool breeze come in. Overall, you can't beat hearing watching and hearing the waves all day and night. We really enjoyed our stay here so much that we've booked another reservation again in a few weeks! Kudos to the staff at Zachari Dunes for an amazing experience!
Firstly I stayed three nights and was overcharged $120 per night--my mother stayed the first and third nights and was given a room rate of $224/night. My stay for the full three nights was billed at $344/night. Same room, same nights. We had changed the dates of our stay at the last minute due to the unexpected hurricane (!) and I was told on the phone that the rate would be $224/night (since we were no longer travelling at the weekend while the air show was on) but sadly didn't get written confirmation. We were in the middle of vacation so as happens, I let things slide I otherwise would have followed up. So when I checked out and found a massively larger bill than expected I raised this with the clerk who told me that's what the computer says, sorry, can't do anything, and only the accountant is the only person who can adjust the bill. The manager was 'out' (after the desk clerk was gone at least 10 minutes talking with someone) so I got her card so I could follow up the bill. The second problem was that my room had a malfunctioning fire alarm which woke me up twice the first night with five quick, loud chirps. The desk clerk said it sounded like the battery (in hindsight, obviously not--hotels have hardwired alarms) and she'd send maintenance to check it. I don't know if maintenance did check it, but what I do know is that it happened AGAIN the following night. The desk clerk the next day did give me a new room. No apology though. Home from vacation, I emailed the manager outlining how I had been overcharged and requested a refund for the $360 overcharge, and also suggested a goodwill gesture was in order given my poor experience with my room (not being able to sleep in a hotel = not good). I received a refund for the room fee in a pdf file. No letter, no message, not one line from the manager apologizing for the experience. Completely ignored my raising the issue of the fire alarm. Yes, I'm glad to have the blatant overcharge sorted at last (after having to take my own time to sort it, grr!) but ghosting me on the customer service experience? Come on. Not impressed and won't be returning, even though it's the cushiest place to stay near my family.
This place is amazing! it is so peacefull and relaxing. I love how there is so many places around and that the hotel provides laundry area, fitness room, vending and ice machine all in one place and so close to the rooms. Staff was super friendly.

McGrath State Beach
TTodemmyThis park is closed due to environmental concerns. The park sits adjacent to the mouth of the Santa Clara River where it runs into the Pacific Ocean. This delta area is a well know bird sanctuary as an estuary forms in this area. Natural forces tend to cause a build up of sand (berm) blocking the river water from draining into the Ocean and when this occurs the Park becomes inundated (flooded) making it uninhabitable. In past years flooding during the rainy season would breakdown the berm but in recent years it has not been breached thus causing the Park to close indefinitely. This was a very delightful place to visit when it was operational.
Heritage Square
1137***66I enjoyed walking around Heritage Square. There's a water tower, nice buildings, and plenty of information regarding this area. Visitors to Oxnard should come to Heritage Square. It's a good place.
Channel Islands Maritime Museum
Ccoo***anFree parking. $5 admission fee. Facilities located in the former restaurant and decorated very nicely. If you like old ship model and past paintings, this is your ideal choice. Docent can provide you with endless data on the exhibits. Selected ancient Dutch sea view paintings. Many exhibits are related to sailing past. Nice museum shop. Everyone is friendly.
Mullin Automotive Museum
1137***66Very concentrated collection from the most famous automakers. The museum proved that it is not about the number of cars, it is about quality. Wonderful presentations and excellent guided tours. Less crowded than the lawn of the pebble beach.
The Murphy Auto Museum
