Our family had a leak in our home and were displaced for about a month. After staying in 4 other hotels prior to the Residence Inn, we decided to choose the Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena / Old Town for the remainder of our displacement. Overall our stay was great! The staff, especially the morning front desk team, was very friendly to us, and our family was able to become very familiar with them. Our daughter even made some of them friendship bracelets! The rooms were spacious, and for the most part, quiet, and we took advantage of some of the amenities like the gym and free complimentary breakfast. The only thing I would suggest improving upon would be the communication between the sales team and front desk, and front desk and housekeeping. There seemed to be some communication breakdowns between the departments. I'd also suggest that the sales team be more responsive to the guests when asked questions. I sent two emails and never received a response, and instead, had to also follow up with phone calls. That isn't the best business practice in a hospitality setting. Other than those small issues, the hotel was clean, modern, and quiet. It was a great place for an extended stay with children. The location is perfect as its a VERY short walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping in Old Town Pasadena. Also, it's only a short drive to the Rose Bowl. God forbid we are in that position again, but if we are, we will certainly stay at the Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena / Old Town! A naval ship type experience. Smallest hotel room I’ve been in since NYC. Reinforced staying on the right side of the law lest you end up in a place this small. The shower glass was a part of the actual room. We love historic hotels but I’ll pass on this one. The great downtown location you’d expect for a historic hotel, but not even a dresser in the room itself. No room! Nowhere to even put one piece of luggage in the closet! Only plastic cups in the room, no room to put a toothbrush on the bath vanity, no floor length mirror (we were attending an event), and the room lighting was poor. We are only here for two days, and we were claustrophobic the first hour. Even the hallway felt like being on a ship. Truly considered upgrading or changing hotels. Nice ambiance and charm downstairs. Parking situation was decent but expensive (as expected), $29 for self park. I think it might be a nice place for an event, but truly go get a hotel room built for modern size humans. Hotel staff gave little help with taxi service which I found baffling.

Clean and new hotel in a great location to visit Pasadena. Walking distance to a large selection of restaurants and some shops. No thrills but has everything that you need for a hotel in a very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended for Pasadena.

房間陳設比較舊但還是很乾凈的，被子芯很薄很薄 近乎於無，感覺用了很久了也沒換過。 check in的時候， 前台各種哄騙我們升級房型，加了幾十刀説提供很好view的房間，結果分到了最偏遠的房間，壓根沒什麼人住的一棟樓，周圍全部被裝修的欄桿圍住什麼都看不到。後來回去跟他們要求換回最初的房間，各種找理由説我們最開始定的房間view很差衹可以看到roof， 讓加價十幾刀換房，換了房間結果還是衹能看到roof和一點點花園的風景。。。車停在valet parking 一晚上，第二晚輪胎沒氣了，沒話説…花園還是很美的，但真的很噁心的一次check in 體驗

I checked in late at the hotel due to the late arrival of my flight from Boston. I was told that they are completely out of rooms, even though my room was already paid for. Despite this mixup, the hotel eventually gave me a one-night free upgrade upgrade. I spent a total of six nights there. The facilities are good. The room is clean and spacious. The bathroom needs a bit of improvement. The location is great.

The location is very convenient for Pasadena and surrounds. It's just a short walk to shops and restaurants and felt safe at night. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. Downsides: They were heavy-handed in using an industrial strength room deodorizer in lieu of giving it a deep clean. The smell barely faded after leaving the window open 24/7. We found kibble on the floor because they hadn't vacuumed properly. (Maybe the previous pet-owner occupant was the reason for the deodorizer?) The fridge wasn't working and they did try to fix it. But in the end it never worked so we had to through out all of our perishables. The room never felt that clean or well cared for. No, I would not recommend staying here.

Amazing hotel, clean, all amenities present. Staff is really pleasant and helpful. Good parking outside, just make sure you don’t get a ticket. Friendly people all around. Good night life.

Excellent service. Rosie from the catering department was AMAZING! She was so nice, professional, and very welcoming. It was as if I'm a guest in her home. That's how she made me feel. Such a pleasant surprise. She's the type of team member that I would want on my team!

I like the location of the Green Tree, which is near the Del Mar metro station in Pasadena, and convenient for getting to JPL or Caltech. The staff are friendly, the hotel is clean, and they have a nice bowl of fresh fruit available at the check-in. However, I have two quibbles. First, I found the billing to be perplexing. Online travel agencies said I would be charged an extra $5 on site, but in fact I was charged an extra $12.20 (+ a $100 deposit which has not yet been credited back to me). Since I was traveling for work, I needed a $0 balance receipt to document that charge, and the reception staff were unable to provide an appropriate receipt. Second, the room was cold, with air-conditioning set to 64 F when I arrived. I turned off the air conditioning, but I was cold in bed and unable to find a blanket or extra layer. If I stay again, I guess I'll bring my own blankets and will try to book differently (perhaps directly through the hotel) in hopes of getting a receipt that my travel reimbursement folks can process.
