The Vista Palazzo is a fantastic hotel, the view is unmatched, the room is unmatched but the highlight of our Como trip has been the secrets of Como curated by Alberto! We feel that we’ve seen Como in a true local way! Sights & Sounds, People & Places; We experienced it all. I’m not a usual review writer, so this is truly an authentic review. Anyone who’s looking to come to Como, two things you must do: - Stay At Vista Palazzo - Meet & Trust Alberto Politeness, Courteous, Diligence are just too few words to describe the experience that was carefully curated to suit our taste. I stayed here for a few nights while working in Lugano Switzerland nearby. I thought the room was really good and clean and I had a nice balcony. The rate was very good. I liked that the hotel was a bit away from the city center, but a nice walk to the old walled city. I mapped 800M to the Porto Torre in the old city and 1.3 KM to the Cathedral by the lake. It felt like being in the real town of Como, not the fully tourist area. There is a really nice rooftop bar with a pool and I went there for drinks and had some decent food there also. I also had quite a nice breakfast buffet included. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoy walking, and they gave me an excellent map and directed me on a lovely walk around the lake to Cernnobio the next village over and I took a ferry back that was only 2.5 euros. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Como.

“The Sad Decline of the Albergo Le Due Corte”. After having very happily and regularly frequented the Due Corte since 1993, I have now stayed there for the last time. It was a lovely provincial city hotel under charming and dedicated family management. However, it was sold pre pandemic to a less than competent hotel chain and thereafter the decline began. The core of the problem are the staff, off-hand, sultry and impolite to say the least and each showing an obvious lack of training in customer service and understanding of what makes a good hospitality establishment. The hotels general substance quality has also suffered significantly under the new ownership/management. Having a personal affection of the hotel itself, I was prepared to continue to visit and stay there after the transfer of ownership to a hotel group, giving the staff the benefit of the doubt and thinking that perhaps once they “found their feet” at the new “group acquisition”, their level of service, quality and attention to what is important could possibly improve . . . but sadly that has not been the case, I would say that the decline in standards has continued unabated. In addition to the appalling quality level of the staff, the overall price performance of the establishment is no longer representative of what one would expect to be offered at a 4 star rated establishment.i There are over 200 hotels in Como and the immediate surrounding area and I, as I believe many other ex Due Corte guests (having read some of the web comments), will certainly be moving to alternatives.

Posizione ottima, in pieno centro (è un plus ma anche un malus per il baccano giù in strada fino a tarda notte, specialmente nei weekend). Bisogna però essere onesti, sulla struttura c'è tanto da lavorare...Camera venduta come superior ma le superior sono ben lontane. Niente TV in camera e questo è per me grave se vendi una 'superior' a quasi €100 a notte. Insonorizzazione pessima, si sentiva anche il russare delle camere accanto...Molto scomodo il fatto che sia ad un terzo piano senza ascensore quindi solo scale, e a fine giornata è davvero dura, impossibile per famiglie con carrozzine o per portatori di handicap. Portone d'ingresso su strada poco curato, confina con la porta di servizio di un ristorante/bar che emana odori forti a tutte le ore. Apprezzata la macchinetta del caffè in camera e l'acqua, ma ciò non esalta la struttura in se. Il bidet perdeva acqua, un condizionatore montato sulla cappa della cucina con tubo di scolo nel lavandino della stessa. Per una camera venduta come Superior a quasi €100 a notte direi proprio no...Ok la pulizia e cortesia telefonica dello staff (dico telefonica poiché non abbiamo mai incontrato i proprietari per ovvie ragioni personali, nè esiste una reception).C'è da dire che son stati molto cortesi nel lasciarci la camera anche dopo l'orario del check out senza supplemento, davvero una comodità per chi visita e poi torna prima di partire.

The studio was located in the old town, 9 mins away by feet from the Saint Mary Assunta Cathedral and 12 mins away by feet from the ferries' piers. Self check in was possible (though I was offline, so opted for standard check in). Great staff. The studio was spacious, clean, with all the amenities I needed. Bed and pillows were very compfy. Wifi was available for free. Self check out was simple.

I stayed at Avenue for one night at the end of a business trip. Como is only a 45 minute drive to Malpensa airport. I was a bit hesitant based on some reviews, but I can say that the hotel was fantastic! Room was super clean, and even had its own terrazzo to relax on. Room was on the small side, but very normal for Italy. Bathroom was clean and spacious. I don’t know where people had issues with noise, but my room was totally quiet the entire time. Only issue was that the safe wouldn’t open after I locked it. The staff came up immediately, and took some time to sort it out, but they got it done. They were incredibly nice (and apologetic, which wasn’t necessary). Ate dinner at the pizza shop around the corner that shared the patio right in front of the hotel. Food was great, and super convenient. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
