Dear Solverde Wellness and Spa Hotel Team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service and experience I received during my recent stay at your hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was stellar, super professional, and demonstrated great ethics. I want to especially commend a key member of your team, Bruno, for promptly identifying that I had overpaid by £30 during check-in. I was impressed to find a missed call and a note under my door just a few hours later, letting me know that Bruno had identified the mistake and wanted to return the excess payment. This level of honesty and integrity truly speaks to the attitude and values of your leaders and professional staff, and I believe they have great careers ahead of them. Beyond the exceptional service, the SPA was a great experience that exceeded my expectations. The room was large and welcoming, and the bed mattress was as comfortable as clouds. The breakfast was delicious and complete, and even at checkout, the staff was sensational. We were very pleased with our 2-night stay and will return as Espinho we wish to complete the boardwalk which begins close to the hotel to Vila Nova de Gaia. The weekly feira on Mondays is not to be missed. Pros: value for the money (a comparable room with ocean view in the Boston/Cape Cod area in July would easily go for at least 4 times what we paid), proximity to beach, town, and boardwalk, view from balcony, patient and accommodating staff, lovely breakfast, spacious bathroom with full-sized products (shampoo/shower gel/hand lotion) Cons: no air conditioning in lobby, parking is no included in the EXTREMELY reasonable price for and ocean-front hotel

Une semaine à l’hôtel La Fontaine, et très satisfaits de notre séjour. Grand parking devant l’hôtel, accueil très chaleureux, personnel très sympathique, à l’écoute et très disponible. Chambres confortables, très propres, petit déjeuner copieux, l’hôtel est doté de tous les équipements nécessaires pour passer de très belles vacances. Je recommande vivement

The hotel is basic but very clean and the room was cleaned every day . The only criticism would be no tea or coffee on arrival as we arrived late and really needed a drink . The staff in the hotel are extremely polite , friendly and helpful . It’s in a great location and we chose to stay here because the train station is literally a 2/3 minutes walk . Easy access to the very beautiful Porto on two days using the very efficient and extremely cheap public transport . Try to avoid rush hour for travelling as it gets packed . Then a train ride to Aveiro too - like the Venice of Northern Portugal . Espinho itself is charming and quaint with a laid back feel , although in October is very quiet . We even had good enough weather to swim in the sea on two days day near to the surfers . There are also some lovely bars and restaurants . Crowd bar just around the corner is lovely with warm, friendly staff , great value and good for breakfast and a coffee. The View just around the corner which is great for live Portuguese music at the weekend and excellent staff , decent Porto tonico ! Sapiens restaurant for a lovely Francesina Portuguese meal . There’s a lovely Italian restaurant , some kebab houses etc. for cheap and cheerful . I would recommend staying here but I might prefer the summer for a longer stay . Overall a lovely experience if you don’t wish to stay in Porto itself .

I may as well start my review with the only negative I could find. This was the smoking area directly outside the hotel entrance. So as soon as you open the door to go in cigarette smoke also went in. And now the good parts without a doubt, the hotels, biggest attribute are the staff. Our week started with a very warm welcome reception from a young man who was very polite and very helpful. Unfortunately, I have forgotten his name. But I guess that doesn’t really matter as it is a recurring theme during our entire stay . One young man who needs a special mention who works behind the bar, told me he was only 20 years of age, which I didn’t believe as he is one of the most honest, trustworthy and sincerest of persons I have the fortune to meet. It just goes to show that not all young people have attitude . Now I have to say that everybody who works behind the bar was fantastic and polite. so on behalf of my wife and I would like to thank you all. But Andre Martins you are a superstar from my heart you deserve a pat on the back and a promotion. One day my friend I’m sure you will be manager. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The management should be very proud. The room was fantastic overlooking the river was clean and tidy with plenty of room. On occasions we ate at the hotel and every time wife was running out of wine someone came to pour some from her bottle. Her exact words were she felt like a princess it was nice that staff mad us both feel very special. The food was very nice and we both would recommend. In due course we shall return to the hotel as it was well situated. Thank you to all an absolutely fantastic start to our tour of Portugal.

La habitación muy pequeña. No había ni una silla, solo la cama, dos mesillas, el minibar y el aparador para la maleta, todo muy desgastado. Hasta los marcos de las puertas estaban raidos. La tele, de tubo analógica de 12 pulgadas, 4:3 por supuesto. El baño, correcto sin mas. Toda la fontanería está reconstruida por fuera de las paredes. La puerta de la habitación encajada, había que empujarla para abrir, y la del armario tirar porque también. Había una terraza que algún día estuvo pintada de blanco, negra de suciedad y desconchada por todas partes, dos jardineras sin tierra y aún más sucias. Lo único bueno las vistas estupendas sobre la plaza.

This hotel was as near to perfect as it gets for us. We stayed as a family of four in a Sea View Suite on the first floor. The 2 rooms were very comfortable. Large double bed for adults and fold out sofa bed for the children. The bed was so comfortable. The block out shutters helped us get a great night’s sleep each night. There is a spotless clean pool with about 20 beds surrounding it. It tended to get busy later in the afternoon as people checked in but we never had trouble finding somewhere to lie. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice. We still had plenty to choose from after 5 mornings. The staff was brilliant. Especially the restaurant and cleaning staff. They were so considerate and kind. The WiFi worked well and the TV had lots of channel choice. It is a decent walk to Espinho town centre.but well worth the effort. There is a Continente supermarket and a McDonalds a short walk away. The boardwalk is about 500m away as is the beach. We plan to stay here again next Summer
