Hotel Desenzano del Garda dengan Bar

We had a great time at the Astoria! We spent 4 nights here early September 2023 Very clean, helpful friendly staff, great location. The hotel is basic and the decor may be a little outdated (but I found it quite charming 70’s vibes I particularly enjoyed the gold lift) but I really can not find fault. We felt very comfortable here. Very clean environment, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The air con was also brilliant. Breakfast was simple but again I can’t fault what was provided. Fresh baked croissants, toast, cereals, cakes, ham and cheese, Eggs, tea coffees and fruit juices. They also have a lovely roof terrace with chairs and sun loungers. The location was great literally a minute or so to a little pebble beach. A 10 minute walk along the lake to the boats that take you across to the other towns. Very close to some great bars and restaurants Thank you for a great stay!

Situato alla fine del lungolago di Desenzano ma a 5 min a piedi dal centro. Hotel datato ma quasi tutto ristrutturato. Pulizia buona come i servizi ma alcuni a pagamento come spa e piscina interna. Personale molto disponibile. Una pecca la colazione che termina alle 10. Ottimo parcheggio gratuito. Giudizio complessivo buono.

Faded glamour, with a hefty emphasis on 'Faded' Sadly I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a hotel I have spent this much money on. The hotel was clearly once beautiful, but is many years (probably decades) past its best. The check in welcome was not a good start as we drove here and the unclear instructions about where to park whilst we unloaded left us anxious about getting towed. The receptionist didn't seem to care about this at all. The interiors are really shabby and, in places, smelly. The bathroom felt like bits of it might fall off at any point. the hairdryer seemed like it was from the 1970s Breakfast is good when they bother to fill the buffet items up (over 30 minute wait for bacon this morning) They also charge extra for setting up a cot in the room, which I've not experienced in a room costing＞ $200 before. Let alone $300. Best avoided

Although the first impressions of this hotel may leave you wanting more, by the time we left we’d had a wonderful time after being well looked after by a small collection of lovely members of staff, ranging from the informative receptionists to the attentive ‘breakfast crew’, the barman and the maids. Positioned about A 10 minute walk into town, it is away from the hustle and bustle and a lake view room is a must…3rd floor is ideal. The breakfast options cater for all, including fresh omelettes and a smoothie maker if you’re brave enough to have a go, and the croissants are to die for! Free use of the spa is a bonus ( book it to avoid disappointment). The hotel is great value for money in a town where options are not cheap. Nearest mini-mart is en route in to town on right hand side just before the pedalos! We did a day trip to Verona, via the train ( station is a 25 minute walk away ) and also a coach trip to Venice (2.5 hours on the coach each way-but well worth it with a tour guide who looks after you). A couple of boat trips to Sirmione ( €6 return) and Garda ( bit more expensive on the rapido service) but nice to break up the day. Plenty of restaurants in town to eat at and we kept each visit below €50 with 2 main meals, a carafe of wine, a bottle of water and the cover charge. If you do choose here…. Enjoy!

Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff. On the shore of lake Gada simply stunning. The surrounding are is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is extensive. Small poolon the roof terrace is a real lityle sun trap. If you're arriving by tain taxis are scarce. Use the uber app and you will be able to get a taxi. Thoroughly recomend a stay here and the surrounding area.

If you are looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation in Desenzano, here it is! The hotel and all the amenities are wonderful (notably the comfy bed, the delicious breakfast, and the well-maintained rental bikes). But what stands out most of all is the kindness and helpfulness of the owners and staff. A wonderful place full of wonderful people!

A lovely hotel in a great spot. All the staff without exception were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts had a good range. The bar and terrace were good. We had a standard twin room which was very clean , a bit more storage space and a greater range of toiletries would have been nice for the the price. The restaurant was obviously highly rated but only had one vegetarian dish on the menu so we did not dine there. Overall a very pleasant hotel would stay there again

Fabulous location, just off the main square and the bars/restaurants. Boats/ferry virtually on the doorstop, so never had to go too far if we didn't want to. Train station about 15 mins walk away, easier downhill, not so quick on the way up with bags! For some reason I was expecting a smaller family run hotel. It seemed to be much bigger than I expected and that 'family feel' was lacking unfortunately. Majority of the time there was no one at reception and other than one staff member (or family) the rest seemed pretty uninterested. The hotel room was brown and although had 2 windows, looked onto the back of the building making the room felt quite dark. It was quiet though as long as the windows were closed and the room was clean. A continental breakfast was included. We were there for a week and unfortunately after the first couple of days there was no fruit available and from day 3/4 most of the breakfast offerings were mostly gone at least half hour before breakfast ended, which led to a few disgruntled guests and a few leaving still hungry. Other than breakfast, we did eat at the hotel a couple of times. The food was nice, though I felt a bit overpriced. Service was good on the first occasion but pretty indifferent on the second occasion. It felt like the owners' priority was on running the restaurants, which were busy, both at lunchtime and evening. The hotel was very convenient but overpriced for what it offered...but then I guess we went peak time...! I don't think I would rebook the hotel if I was to go back to Desanzano.
