The main building's stone facade is made of Jinshan stone from Mudu, a quarry that has since ceased operation. The garden landscaping is top-notch, with each of the 'Eight Views of Wu Palace' offering unique charm. A back exit provides direct access to the Panmen Scenic Area, allowing for day and night exploration. The hotel's restaurants are distinctive, with both the Chinese and Western establishments being superb. The Ruimian Noodle House, a Suzhou-style noodle restaurant, is particularly elegant and authentic!

This was a great stay. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so I slept soundly at night. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and the staff were friendly. The location is also convenient for getting around, and it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

The hotel is located within the Lingnan Guild Hall in the scenic area, right by Shantang Street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and sightseeing. However, the scenic area has traffic restrictions, and the streets are mainly cobblestone. There are also stairs within the Lingnan Guild Hall, which can be inconvenient if you're carrying luggage or pushing a stroller. The hotel's front desk service is excellent and very welcoming. The rooms are meticulously cleaned, and they even offer laundry service, which is a big plus! The hotel has a garden-style design, with a beautiful koi pond that's great for photos and where you can feed the fish. Although it's in a scenic area, the hotel rooms are quite quiet, and there were various complimentary services that unfortunately I didn't get to use. I'll definitely come back again! Highly recommended!

There are so many great hotels in Wuxi. Having visited with my kids many times and stayed at various five-star hotels, this time we came to tour Taihu Lake. We booked the hotel very late on the day of arrival, and after calling first to inquire about the evening buffet, we finally chose the JW. The room was thoroughly cleaned, and the service was excellent and very prompt (there was a minor issue with the TV, but someone was sent right away to fix it). The hotel is located in a bustling downtown area with a lively atmosphere. Right downstairs is a shopping mall with everything you could possibly need, making it very convenient when traveling with kids. Above all, the night view is unbeatable! Looking out from the 57th floor, the night view of Wuxi is stunning! The dining and other amenities are quite decent—nothing extraordinary, but everything you need is there. And that's more than enough 👍 Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Since we love Wuxi so much and it's very convenient to get here from Shanghai, we will definitely stay at our JW again next time.

Totally loved this place! It is so private and peaceful that you will never guess it's located nearby Nanjing. The pool was clean, Thai food was delicious, Thai massage was authentic, everything was great. And most importantly, it's pets friendly! Definitely recommend to everyone!

Since I need to leave multiple reviews, I'll keep this one brief; please check my other detailed review for more information. I'm giving all five stars entirely because of our butler, Alice, and all the staff who assisted me. The butler was warm and attentive, the front desk upgraded our room, the concierge was dedicated, and every staff member in the hallways and lobby greeted us—I could truly feel their care and effort. Located in a landmark building in Nanjing, the brand backing also gives peace of mind, and the lake view is a nice bonus. To sum up: in terms of value for money, I only recommend booking when there's a package deal available. Several major issues: 1. Hardware: The mattress was sagging; I still couldn't get a good night's sleep even after changing rooms twice. The showerhead was leaking. 2. Breakfast: Priced at 189 RMB, the quality and variety fall far short of the price tag. The vegetable juice wasn't strained, so the foam blocked the spout, making it impossible to pour; the Eggs Benedict weren't made to order, tasted poor, and were watery when cut open; the duck blood vermicelli soup was nowhere near as good as reviews claimed. Whenever they rotate daily dishes, they remove the good ones. Even the Meiling Porridge lacked any real flavor—nowhere near as good as the 8 RMB bowl you can get downstairs. 3. Cleanliness: Generally okay, but I found a short hair under the sheets. I also had to kill small flying insects (likely fruit flies brought in by fruit) on both the pillow and the desk. 4. Staff oversight: The floor was sticky and easy to trip over, yet staff walked right by and did nothing about it. 5. Smoking issue: When the elevator doors opened on the 7th floor, a thick wave of cigarette smoke poured in. When reported, I was merely told that ”the hotel is non-smoking,” with no follow-up investigation. 6. Service/Staffing: The staff are stretched thin. Good service can compensate for subpar hardware, and the general direction is right, but many areas that need care are being neglected. The sagging mattress is definitely not a recent issue; I'm not sure if reporting it is difficult or if getting it fixed is the bottleneck. Ratings shouldn't rely solely on the efforts of front-line and middle management; many issues need to be reviewed and adjusted from a higher level. I can see the dedication of the front-line team and managers, but guests can also sense when there are things simply beyond their control. Thanks again for your hard work. I hope the hotel's facilities and management will improve in the future, so that this landmark InterContinental can truly live up to its prime location.

This is my fourth time staying at the Taicang Karuizawa Onsen Hotel, and I'm still extremely satisfied. This time, I came for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday with my mom, husband, and son. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and comfortable, the rooms are serene, well-equipped, and have a quality feel. The hygiene has always been excellent, making for a very reassuring stay. My favorite part is still the hot springs – warm, comfortable, and very authentic. For me, the cleanliness of the hot spring area is particularly important, and Karuizawa consistently meets expectations in this regard. Each soak leaves me feeling relaxed both physically and mentally, making it perfect for a short holiday getaway. The hotel's surroundings are also ideal for a vacation. It's about a 15-minute drive to Shaxi Ancient Town, which has lots of delicious food. Nearby is JinCang Lake Park, with its excellent ecological environment, perfect for a family stroll and relaxation. We drove from Shanghai, which took about an hour and a half, so the transportation is very convenient. That's why for the past two years, whenever a holiday comes around, we think of staying here for a few days. During this stay, the hotel service also felt very warm. The staff were friendly and thoughtful, and the restaurant service was especially attentive, proactively caring for and asking about our needs. When they learned my mom had a sensitive stomach, they even specially added plain congee, which was truly thoughtful. Because we've stayed multiple times over the past two years, the hotel even offered a complimentary private hot spring this time, making us feel their full sincerity and a truly welcoming atmosphere. In short, the Karuizawa Onsen Hotel has become our family's go-to for short holiday getaways. Everything from the rooms, hot springs, hygiene, and service to the surrounding environment leaves us very satisfied. We'll definitely be back if we get the chance in the second half of the year.

Walking into the Jinling Hotel, you can still feel the glory of an era from forty years ago. While some of the hardware may no longer be cutting-edge by today's standards, it is precisely this that makes you wonder just how luxurious and avant-garde it must have been four decades ago. Time has changed its appearance, but it has not erased its heritage. What is commendable is that the Jinling Hotel hasn't just rested on its laurels. Although some of the guest room fixtures show their age, the amenities have been kept thoroughly up to date. L'Occitane toiletries, Hansgrohe bathroom fixtures, and Dyson hair dryers—these details reflect the hotel's unwavering commitment to quality. The charm of a historic hotel lies not in the blind pursuit of newness, but in knowing how to maintain refinement while preserving its legacy. The dining is equally delightful. The Plum Garden (Meiyuan) restaurant fully lives up to its Black Pearl restaurant status, with exceptional dishes and flavors; the buffet breakfast at the Gulf Restaurant offers a rich variety of choices. Both the quality and the selection showcase the solid foundation of a classic hotel. What truly left a lasting impression on me, however, was the hospitality at the Jinling Hotel. Upon check-in, the hotel took my practical needs into full consideration, kindly arranging an early check-in along with a complimentary room upgrade and breakfast. During her introduction to the hotel, Ms. Lu (Ya Shi Xiao Lu) demonstrated true professionalism and patience, providing detailed explanations that gave me a deeper appreciation of the hotel's history and unique characteristics. These seemingly small touches during the check-in process truly embody the real value of a heritage hotel: it's not just about history and quality, but knowing how to treat guests right. A hotel's hardware may age with the times, but the warmth of its service, its dedication to quality, and the heritage accumulated over the years are what keep it forever fresh. The Jinling Hotel may not have the newest hardware today, but it remains a classic property well worth savoring and respecting. It made me realize that the charm of certain hotels doesn't lie merely in how new or luxurious your stay is, but in whether, long after checking in, you can still feel its past glory and the dignity and warmth it preserves to this day.

Extremely satisfied with my stay. After countless visits to Suzhou hotels over the past year, this time I chose the Four Seasons. After confirming my booking, the hotel proactively contacted me to understand my needs and arranged a fantastic room on a high floor with a large lake-view terrace, offering prime views of Jinji Lake. Check-in at the front desk was very smooth. The layout and flow of the Shui Tian Wang Hu room were very well thought out. There's a small entrance table, perfect for temporarily placing items delivered to the room. The open-plan closet is wide and spacious enough to immediately store luggage and clothes upon entering. The corner sofa and round table are great for sitting, enjoying the lake view, and having a drink or a snack. My room, West Wing 601, was a lake-view terrace room with excellent soundproofing. Despite having guests next door, I didn't hear a peep! I also have to praise the silent air conditioning – it's a blessing for someone like me who needs a super quiet environment to sleep. The complimentary bottled water was all imported from New Zealand. Welcome fruits were delivered promptly. The 24-hour in-room dining service is my absolute favorite! In the evening, I enjoyed several drinks at the Lóng Láng Bar, tasting the Opera Cake, Riesling white wine, and two cocktails: a Piña Colada and a special autumn-themed vodka cocktail. The service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable with no added service charge. Signing to the room bill was incredibly convenient. The Four Seasons breakfast is incredibly rich and served from 7 AM to 11 AM – a thoughtful arrangement typical of high-end, guest-focused hotels. While the Suzhou Four Seasons doesn't have an executive lounge, these breakfast hours perfectly match what I'm accustomed to at the executive lounges of Ritz-Carlton hotels. Sitting on the terrace at night, feeling the gentle breeze and gazing at the lake view was incredibly comfortable. On the day of checkout, I had lunch at the Jǐng Jǐn Gé on the hotel's second floor. The front desk had pre-booked a prime, C-position table for me with an excellent view. The meal was very satisfying, and the ingredients were super fresh. Plus, the Four Seasons is a pet-friendly hotel, so next time I'll bring my beloved pet and my parents along!
