Looked for somewhere near to the Playhouse and I could not have made a better choice, it is very central for shopping centre and eateries. The hotel is beautiful, staff are so helpful. Room was massive with lots of nice toiletries, there was also an espresso machine and complimentary soft drinks in the fridge (didn’t realise till later). They have thought of everything, but hey it is a 5 star hotel. Would highly recommend if you want a treat 😊

滿意👍 入住時，前台發現我們需要等，馬上請一個會中文的小哥哥來招呼我們酒水飲料。小哥哥還幫我們定餐廳，非常負責。服務非常好！ 房間環境很贊，早餐包含在房費中，在10樓，另外12樓上午開放能看愛丁堡全景，吃完早餐可以上去看看。重點要説的是早餐是英文菜單點餐形式，我們在Tom的熱心幫助下，選到了喜歡的食物，吃的很開心😋

Beautiful hotel probably in the best location in Edinburgh. Very close to all of the key sites and nice restaurants and bars. The rooms are very spacious and elegantly decorated. Hotel would also be a very good option for long stay since the room has kitchen and washing machine included. Hotel’s building used to be a former office of Royal Bank of Scotland. Hotel staff have been very helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was just as described and lived up to my expectations. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with many attractions and restaurants within walking distance. What really made my stay stand out was the staff - they were super friendly, helpful and always responded quickly to any inquiries I had. Additionally, the hotel's app made everything incredibly easy, from asking questions to checking out. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I highly recommend Cheval Old Town to anyone visiting Edinburgh and I look forward to staying here again in the future.”

Very much enjoyed our stay at this quirky but fun and charming hotel. The little red fridge was a really fun touch. The hotel was a bit confusing to negotiate but the staff was very helpful getting us to the right place. The location was great. We were able to walk to areas of interest.

I had a fantastic time at ”The Scholar” hotel and couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience. Firstly, the service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The facilities at the hotel were impressive as well. The rooms were spacious, elegantly decorated, and provided top-notch comfort. The clean and well-equipped bathroom, along with modern amenities, added to the overall appeal. Additionally, the leisure facilities such as the gym and swimming pool enriched the entire stay, making it more fulfilling and enjoyable. One of the highlights was the dining experience. The breakfast offered a diverse selection of high-quality options. I particularly enjoyed their signature dishes, which were flavorful and memorable. Apartment very nice spacious fully equipped with air temperature regulation in every room. Toiletries hairdryer iron with board supplied. no hesitation to book again especially for longer stay

Before check in this hotel, I was little concerned about it since there’s couple negative comment about this hotel. I believed only some room has issue but my room is perfectly fine! The water temperature is great and no other issue. The breakfast is very good, suggest you going down to the breakfast area around 7 if you want to get hot food and quiet breakfast time~ On the other hand, it’s an apartment, so you need to throw your rubbish away, and better to bring personal cleaning equipment as well. It’s a 9/10 rating, it would be great if they fix another washing machine so don’t need to wait for it.

We loved our stay. The staff were all frienldy and the service was brilliant overall. The breakfasts were delicious, and there's a good choice of dishes. We stayed in the Lost Lager room, and it was brilliant! Lots of space and the facilities were great. Couple of downsides were the noise from outside/other rooms and the fact you can't login to your own streaming services and the choices availble were very limited. However, the rest of the facilities were fab - loved the terrace, sweet pick n mix and the free water and coffee in the lounge area on the 1st floor. We'd definitely stay here and at other BrewDog hotels again.

The staff was helpful,friendly and polite.Check in and out was fast and easy.The girl at the reception upgraded my room as I was platinium member.The room was mach better than expected(no 110).It was very big ,bright and spacious with lovely high ceilings.The city was approx.12 min.Breakfast had fairly good chocice.There was a small gym as well. Overall.it was very good value for money.

Its a Premier INN, a low cost, basic hotel room. The rooms are a good size but the double bed has only two pillows. There was only one large towel in the room. There is no fridge. We were given only one room key which can be a bit annoying. It has minimal service, minimal staff, you can self check-in and just drop the keys to check out. It is Ok if you are clear on what you are getting.
