Overall, my stay was satisfactory. The hotel's location near a Tesco store was convenient for any immediate needs or shopping. While the room size posed a minor challenge, the hotel provided a decent experience for my stay in Edinburgh.

We really enjoyed staying here....although the room never had a kettle for tea ,coffee etc, you could still get a drink free downstairs. The rooms are compact but they have everything you need and lets face it you won't be staying there for weeks on end. Not much on menu..pizza or panini but we actually enjoyed the panini heated and a beer.
Staff very helpful nothing too much trouble for them and thanks for the extra pillows. The boys from Latvia and Lithuania. They certainly had their hands full when coach arrived with customers.
Breakfast bit limited be nice to have something hot to eat but apart from that we loved our stay and hope to definitely come back

This hotel bears no relation to the previous Edinburgh Marriot it may have a new carpet and paint but it's a disappointing experience , the staff lack experience and customer focus many of the customer service have been deleted . We booked a suite the TV would not accommodate a firestick to watch Netflix and the bathroom was shabby and the room could do with a proper clean bathrobes supposedly supplied were missing when we complained we were given one grubby replacement instead of two . Breakfast was fine and a good choice was available, we stayed frequently at the Edinburgh Marriot and sadly we will not return as Delta have obviously cut costs and deleted the customer focus that made you forget about the rough edges .

My expectations weren't very high but I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel smelt amazing & the reception staff were welcoming & friendly. One of the reception staff helped me zip up my dress as I couldn't reach & went out of her way to help me. Breakfast was awesome & checking out was super straight forward. I would recommend in a heartbeat!

Lovely groups and views.
Comfortable bed and reasonable sized room, but the shower curtain was smelly, and we had to ask for it to be changed. It took several phone calls and nearly an hour before someone came and changed it.
Breakfast was quite good, but no eggs benedict offered, which was disappointing.
Unfortunately, the pool was packed with children and families who didn't appear to be stating at the hotel, and the timings for adults only swimming were before breakfast and after dinner. I did not consider this a proper 5-star hotel facility since it seemed less private and more public baths. Having seen how busy the golf was, I felt maybe this isn't a private membership golf and spa hotel anymore.
All in all, I did have a comfortable stay but found the hotel not private enough to make it a special experience, which is what I expected for the price and given its previous reputation in the community and in reviews.

First time Iāve stayed here in a while and have to say it was a much better stay. Rooms had been modernised and mind had a walk in shower rather than a tiny bath , not sure if all rooms are updated but if you ask for walk in shower you will get a new room Location. Is good aside from a tricky junction outside where if travelling east itās more awkward, nearly had a taxi come into the side of me. Retail park across the road Nice bar with some food options

This is a rather disappointing stay. I hope we can get a proper compensation.
1. The bathroom does not have any basic toiletries, not even hand soap. We had to go down to reception to ask and was given hand lotion and told that it works as hand soap?!?
2. Breakfast is not ready at 7am. Breakfast is supposed to serve from 7 - 10am. On first morning, breakfast spread was not complete because chef came to work late. (Photo shows what was available to guests). We had to leave to catch our day tour bus so we barely ate anything. On the next day, no breakfast was served because there was issues with gas.
3. Room cleaning was not complete. Room cleaning only made the beds and refreshed the towels. The dustbins were not emptied and the toilet papers were not replenished.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is a short walk to and from from the airport. The staff were always polite and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The lifts were a bit slow, but you could use the stairs. The lounge is huge and the breakfast included vegan options. I only wish there had been a fridge in the room.

HHevlarFabulous place which my companion worked on in 2019 fitting out when student accommodation. Stayed over from Northumberland to see Fat freddy's drop concert at Usher Hall. Loved the studio apartment. Very cosy and quirky and next to NCP for parking too and the castle which I love to visit. Highly recommend and will definitely be back š

PPengguna TetamuMy recent hotel stay was a bit of a mixed experience. While the hotel was clean and well-equipped, there were several issues that detracted from my overall satisfaction.
Before arriving, I had communicated with the hotel via email and was told that they could be reached via WhatsApp. However, upon arrival, I was unable to get a response from the hotel on WhatsApp. Additionally, there was no reception area, and check-in had to be done over the phone, which required multiple long-distance phone calls and extra fees.
The day before check-in, I received a last-minute email from the hotel requesting a deposit, but they did not provide any information on how to make the payment. Not all of the staff were willing to provide assistance, but the last person I spoke to was patient and helpful, which allowed me to check in smoothly.
One major safety concern was that there was a step outside the bathroom, but the floor was not marked, making it easy to trip and fall. Another hazard was the transparent coffee table in the living room, which caused several stumbling incidents that could have led to injuries.
Overall, while the hotel was clean and well-maintained, the issues with communication, extra fees, and safety hazards detracted from my experience.

PPengguna TetamuSolo visit as visiting the city, Edinburgh always been on my ābucketā list and this hotel is just a gem! Not a 5 star building but most definitely a 5 star experience. I was met by Anthony who checked me in promptly and efficiently, he was very informative and helped me with a few tourist things. My room was perfectly fine, a little dated but nothing drastic. Breakfast perfectly cooked and everything you could have wanted, loved the porridge. I will be back again!

PPengguna TetamuWell located and staff helpful both during our visit and via email leading up to it. Hotel is off the beaten track and was quiet so no outside noise to speak of. Room we were allocated was just about ok size wise, older style furnishings and was ok, very clean though as was the bathroom which again was ok. Breakfast had plenty of choice but server appeared to be under pressure with the amount of people as the times had been shortened to only 2 hours available, 7am to 9am - I assume to accommodate the larger party who were getting theirs at 10am. As a result our breakfast felt rushed , no toast or drink refills. Not a great problem at breakfast but don't really want to be rushing breakfast after a night out in Edinburgh. In summary for the price paid, excellent location and good staff, decor is dated but clean and adequate, would I return ? yes if the prices was more competitive.

Shower hose was leaking, toilet floor was soft and starting to break. Small cracks in the furniture and the floor. Toiled door had some moisture damage. Ā AC was working/not working and there was a high moisture in the room. Window (that should not be able to be opened) was open. Layout of the room was from the worst side. 1 chair to sit on and wardrobe as far from the door on the opposite side of the room. No hand towels, just shower towels available. Breakfast was basic. Elevator to the floor was fast that was good.Ā

BBrian PYI stayed second time in Yotel Edinburgh during my trip in Scotland since I wanted to be Edinburg the first and last night when I returned to London.
Yotel is a nice hotel with location right in the downtown and good for me since I took bus in and out Edinburgh airport, but not perfect location if travelers take train.

The hotel goes under the renovation and there were only 2 lifts with queues and they are also used by the staff too
We had a room for 3 people and had all set up for two people only, the room was dirty with hair in the shower and the ceiling.
When I took the shower the pipe was blocked and the water started to leak to the bathroomā¦ yes they sorted the problem quite quickly but still was not great experience
There were no slippers and bathrobes. I asked for x3 slippers and they brought only one pair. I asked again and they brought only one pair again. On the third time they brought two pairsā¦. When I asked for 3!!! And still no bathrobes. We asked for additional blanket and it was in a random location after the room was cleaned.
The room was cleaned badly on the next day we stayed. My pajamas was thrown elsewhere and I found it on the table, the towels we put on the floor to be replaced were fold dirty on the shelvesā¦ the blanket was in a random location and the cleaner did not pay any attention at all left the room dirty. Very disrespectful
I felt that I had to beg for the things we are supposed to get in this kind of hotels. Shocking!!!
Yes they compensated with a complimentary breakfast which was good but still the service was bad. They sent the cleaner and by the time she came we were already sleeping. And she did not speak any English ā¦ very disappointed

We were a little apprehensive about this place after reading some of the reviews, but in the end, we had no problems or dramas. The instructions to gain access and collect the keyword simple and straightforward and happily everything worked. The room was perfectly clean, as was the bedding and towels.the water was always warm, although the cistern did take its time to fill. It took us a day to realise that if we needed clean cups or glasses and extra coffee tea and milk to just help ourselves from the lounge and leave our mucky cups in the tray there. As it is a double room having two proper chairs would have been nice. It is in a really nice area with rail bus and tram links to all parts of the city, although we mainly walked, taking about 30 minutes to get to the middle of Princes St. At the price we paid we would happily return.
