Absolutely beautiful. That’s the only way I can describe it. Took my boyfriend there as a birthday present. Staff absolutely lovely, so helpful and soo genuine. Rooms are gorgeous, we had a view straight on the bar/pool outside. Had our room cleaned daily spotlessly. No bad words to say. Affordable price as well. Had the staff notify us when our shuffle arrived. Everything was spot on. Hard to tell on the only picture I got off the view because it was dark, but just imagine that view when it was bright and sunny outside. Definitely recommend.

A very comfortable and pleasant place to stay. Our apartment was near the bottom of the complex with a balcony that was always in the shade. Other units overlooked the pool with sunny balconies and the “Sunset Apartments” were over the reception/restaurant area with great views and plenty of sun. Whichever unit you stay in the apartments are well kept, clean and airy with a large lounge/dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster, twin hob and under bench fridge. The lounge has a tv, but uk programmes are limited to BBC world News and BBC entertainment channel. OK if you like “Still Open All Hours” and other re-runs, but you are on holiday in a beautiful and friendly place so why stay in and watch TV. There is an on-site shop (not open when we were there but will be by end of March) and nearest and best mini market is in the village o the “Main Street” just behind the village square and opposite the ice cream parlour/cafe. It is a steep downhill walk to the village by the shortest route accessed by cutting through the apartments opposite the reception entrance and turning right but the easier way is to follow the road by going left from reception and right to go back to the main road and turning left. This brings you out at the bridge to the town square, which is where you want to be for great restaurants and drinks. Do not miss the water taxi across to Portimao or Praia Roche (10 euros return) we went to Portimao town to look at the excellent museum set in an old Sardine Canning Factory. I also highly recommend the “Indigo Restaurant” further up the street from the mini market. It serves Indian food prepared by the Owner, Mr Beddi. He and his staff are extremely friendly and very welcoming and he will make you what you want and to your taste. It was raining on our first arrival and I had to go to the village looking for food to cook. I took shelter on the seating outside of Indigo and, even though it was not open, the young ladies preparing for he evening made me a cup of tea. When Beddi arrived I asked where I could get a taxi and he gave me a lift back with no charge for the tea or lift. We went for dinner later as it had stopped raining and after being plied with more foo than was decent we were surprised by the exceptionally reasonable cost. To top it off it had started raining again and the excellent Beddi gave us a lift back again. What a way to start our holiday. Sadly we could not make a second visit as my wife felt unwell for the rest of the holiday (nothing to do with the stunning food we ate). We will be back to enjoy the beautiful area, the warm weather and the warm and welcoming Portuguese.

Booked a 3-night twin room to attend a friend's lecture in Lagoa. The hotel, or better, motel is excellent for those on wheels, not for those on foot. If you have disabilities find another town in the Algarve. Some sets of stairs do not have rails, you have to go round the entrance to physically 'get in'. The reception has only 1 staff member when off-season, be prepared and do it all online. Forget questions about taxis, transportation, and restaurant advice is really subjective. The room was very comfortable, the second door to a set of stairs (curled) with direct access to the car park/entry of the hotel area was not. Cold and humidity pass through the doors (front door leading to corridor inside as well), as doors need maintenance. Breakfast is good and varied, for all tastes, except gluten-free options. Internet signal very weak, had to use phone data package. Check-in is only at 4pm. Pro's. besides what I already mentioned: bus terminal 5 min walk, good restaurants each way 5 min walk (one is just next door), supermarket passing the roundabout, beds very comfortable. You can walk to the centre (10 min walk) but the town is without interest, unless you are there for an event, for those on foot, you can stay here and get to know other nearby cities in the Algarve by bus, as the terminal is so close, and it is not expensive to go around by bus.

Quarto grande e silencioso mas os armários são velhos e as cortinas sujas e com partes emperradas. Varanda grande porém suja e precisa de uma atualização na pintura. Banheiro com bom espaço porém com cheiro forte que vem do ralo. O quarto é grande e seria bom ter um lixo adicional porque só tem no banheiro e na cozinha. A mini cozinha tem um bom frigobar mas os armários e pia são bem antigos, com cheiro forte. Senti falta de detergente e bucha na cozinha. Pelo nível do quarto justificaria ter uma Nespresso, seria muito bom. Ponto favorável são as toalhas de ótima qualidade tanto no quarto quanto na piscina. A área da piscina é linda, jardim bem cuidado e cadeiras top para deitar. O bar é interessante também mas não usei porque achei os preços um pouco caros. Café da manhã médio, sugiro suco de laranja fresco para melhorar e mais opções de pães. Jantamos um dia no hotel, não recomendo, é serviço de buffet e a comida não estava boa, foi caro. Melhor fazer as refeições fora.

Context - 12 night stay, family with 2 young teenagers in August We stayed in Villa 100, a 'luxury 2 bed townhouse' Accomodation: Great accomodation, some maintenance required, but not important. The accomodation was spacious, clean, beds were really comfortable, showers were great, loads of kitchen storage, sofas really comfortable, effective air com, kitchen with 4 burner hob, ovem, microwave, toaster, cofferr machine, washing machine and dryer. 5 star comfort, and nearly 5 star appearance (just a few maintenence piece needed ie chips in kitchen cupbaords, locks of bathrooms not aligned etc) Outside the accomodation we had 2 loungers, 4 would have been better, a table with 4 chairs with a few of a small pool. The pool near our villa was excellent. We generally were able to get this to ourselves at some points in the day, and there were always loungers available. This isn't the main pool. The main pool is a couple of minutes walk from the villa, and again excellent. it was quiet, but still an atmosphere, no problem getting loungers. On one day we had to hunt down an umbrella. There is also an indoor pool, that opens out to a terrace. Didn't think we'd use it, but it was really nice, and we used that as well. Useful when it's windy and the outdoor pool got chilly. The spa was good. My wife had a treatment that she said was very good. there was a steam room and sauna, both good, a small gym (didn't use). Jacuzzi was open, but didn't seem to work ie no bubbles! Outdoor pool bar was closed for refurb, but an indoor alternative was available. Restaurant was probably the biggest disappointment. We were self catering, used it once, and didn't return. The food was ok, but comparing it to the external restaurants we ate at, was nowhere near as good and significantly more expensive. Service in the restaurant was more comparable to a 3 star hotel. What was particularly disappointing was that 'portuguese' night was just a subset of the standard A la carte menu. Housekeeping were variable, ranging from spectacular to average! Some days they even unloaded our dishwasher which was a lovely touch. Other days they took away hand towels and didn't replace them. Resort did not have much to do for teenagers, other than making their own entertainment in the pool, but for us that was fine. Overall, a hotel is pleasant, lovely pool areas and accommodation is extremely comfortable but let down by the restaurant. Outside of the resort, in Carvoeiro we ate at 'Elliots' in the centre, and 'Recanto da Boavista' (2 minute walk from the hotel). Both of these restaurants were excellent, and catered well for my son who has a milk allergy. The other place we went to in Carvoeiro was Sandoskas. Again really good, but more cheap and cheerful. Whilst their bread contains milk, their baguettes don't, so hot dogs with baguette is a milk free option! The ice cream shop opposite also does a good range of vegan ice creams. I would use one word to describe this hotel -Paradise. We came as guests and the staff treated us so well, we left as friends. We had our wedding at the Bricia Du Mar and it was prefect. The location for a wedding is what we dreamed of. The hotel is low rise and like a little village with beautiful rooms and a stunning pool area. There is a fantastic gym and spa also. What Raquel, Pedro and everyone else did to help us was above and beyond what you would expect from a hotel. They say they are not wedding planners but what they did to help us arrange our wedding was incredible. This a family run hotel and you can see the care and attention they have to make the hotel a success as it is quite new. Everything is spotlessly clean and such a calming wonderful environment. Our wedding went without a hitch and the attention to detail was incredible. All the staff at our wedding were genuinely happy to be there from the chefs to the bar staff and waiters who couldn’t do enough for us. Hartanah yang menakjubkan terletak berhampiran pantai dan marina. Kakitangan benar-benar menjadikan pengalaman itu menyeronokkan untuk kami dan kami sangat menyukai kolam renang atas bumbung! Saya akan mengesyorkan hotel ini kepada sesiapa sahaja yang datang ke Portimao!

My wife and I stayed here the night of our wedding and the following night - we had always wanted to stay here as we know the area well and we were not disappointed. We had mentioned that we were getting married, and the staff had kindly beautifully decorated our room with flowers and left us a cold bottle of champagne which was a lovely touch. Our room was amazing, a huge terrace with a gorgeous sea view and the room itself had an amazing electronic skylight which meant you could see the stars when lying in bed at night. The breakfast was also fantastic, the food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, eager to get us anything we wanted (and we saw that they were treating all guests in the same brilliant way). The hotel has a brilliant infinity pool which overlooks the sea and it very relaxing. We loved our stay, it was the perfect way to begin our marriage. Thank you so much Luis and the rest of the staff!
