Such a lovely building. An old merchants house within the fort walls. 20 very spacious rooms. Complimentary afternoon tea and happy hour (free beers, cocktails and wine) for guests during the afternoon. Plus, complimentary guided tour. Centrally located. Lovely peaceful areas to sit and relax. Here 4 nights but onky ate once here but that was lovely food. No pool but Unawatuna beach only a short tuk tuk ride away (which was great fun in itself). And all the staff were so friendly and chatty with always a big smile whatever the time of day. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

This is clearly an old hotel which has renovated some rooms which are bright and as shown on photos. However much more renovation and maintenance is needed. The lift was not working and from reviews has not worked for many months. The black floor tiles are worn down to the white porcelain in the most used areas. The stair walls are dirty. The restaurant is fully glass windows and in need of cleaning as are the corridor windows. There were only 10 sunbeds for a hotel with 50 rooms ! No sunshade so you try to get in the shadow of the palm trees. The paving area around the pool is in need of power washing. The pool changing room/toilet walls are in need of painting. Bed sheets and towels were changed only 3 times in 2 weeks when we requested them to be changed. The toiletries are not often replaced. The shower glass doors are not cleaned nor are the room doors to the balcony or the glass panels on the balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities not always replaced and we never got coffee sachets. The second floor housekeeping cupboard door is badly damaged and gives a feeling of neglect. This hotel could be ranked higher if more money is invested and renovation/maintenance undertaken. The hotel is used by Russian charter holiday customers. The hotel allow day entry travelling parties to enter who use the pool in their outdoor wear. On a positive note the staff are courteous and helpful

This is a small boutique hotel in Galle with just the perfect balcony room. Yes, it is expensive, they have European roomrates. But they also have a great service, lovely staf, a different style luxe breakfast and complementairy tea and cake served at your own balcony in the afternoon. The room was beautifull and the cinnamon smell was also really nice. We stayed newyears eve at this hotel, and then we recommend earplugs for the noise of the celebrating crowd. But from the hotel it was a short walk up to the clocktower to see the fireworks. The owners did a great job redoing this place and turning it into a really charming hotel. Eventhough the downstairs rooms are small and without any view. When we visit the rain spoiled a little bit of the fun, I can imagen that the hotel even looks better when you also can use the little terras viewing the ocean.

The Hotel staff are what makes this such a lovely place to stay . It does need a bit of TLC in places( our bathroom could’ve done with an upgrade) but overall our room was comfortable and clean . We had a top floor room with a fabulous view of the Indian Ocean. There was always a good choice of food in the restaurant every day and the staff were always helpful- special mention to Chinthaka who was always so attentive to us and made the dining experience so much more enjoyable - Thank you ! He is a real asset to the hotel . Also a mention to Gerard in the restaurant . The hotel location is great- direct access to the beach and across the road from a large supermarket . We would definitely go back - It was a lovely experience and we would recommend to anyone for a relaxing and value for money holiday .

Лучший отдых с этим отелем💕 Отдыхали с 23.10.23 по 02.11.23 и здесь это было идеально. Персонал лучший, во всем помогут(вызвать тук-тук, решить вопрос, подсказать что-то), официанты вау (Chaminda❤️), повара прекрасно готовят, все очень вкусно, уборка номеров супер🙌🏼 Виды и расположение шикарные, пешком можно дойти до 3 пляжей, бесплатно подвезут от отеля до самого любимого Jangle beach, очень близко улица с ресторанами и магазинчиками, но в то же время вы находитесь в природе🌱 Бурундучки, обезьяны, мангусты, игуаны, но можно не переживать, они не переходят ваши личные границы 😁 Отель небольшой и это очень комфортно, для вас всегда везде будет место🙌🏼 Мы обязательно туда вернемся и всем советую, чтоб вы тоже побывали в раю✨ Еще раз большое спасибо персоналу, вы чудесные 🥰 (Chaminda❤️, Kavinga❤️, Sandaka❤️, Ranjith❤️)

很舒服的一次旅行，一定要去海邊！海濱酒店真的是行程的亮點 ，因為是環保酒店所以牙刷等一次性用具要記得提前找前台要噢

Basic budget hotel with a great pool and lovely staff! Rooms were spacious and clean with a balcony, desk & chair, TV with local channels, air con and a ceiling fan. Although housekeeping is available, and I believe there is supposed to be a card to put on the door, we never had one and despite mentioning this on several occasions we were never given one and had to constantly ask for housekeeping, fresh towels etc when needed. The pool is fantastic, I was in this every day of our stay and towels for the pool are available and although there is a space for them they're rarely at the side of the pool, so you need to go ask for them too! There is a toilet at the side of the pool and a shower to rinse off before/after a swim. Breakfast if not included, was available until 11:00 am (if I remember correctly) and was ~1,500 LKR. Service can be a little slow, one morning I waited 40 minutes and no-one took my breakfast order, they'd just walk past me, so I ended up going into the reception and asking for that too, service is a hit and a miss, sometimes people are buzzing round you and other times they don't come near! My husband became unwell during our stay and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, absolutely commend them for that - thank you so much. There is a supermarket across the road, restaurants etc are ~1.5km away, tuk tuks are always outside, don't let them overcharge you - haggle!!! ~500-600 to Ceylon Spa and ~800 if you're going further down to the bigger hotels/restaurants. We stayed here for 8 nights as a stop gap due to a change in our plans, and we enjoyed our stay.

Loved the architecture of the place and its attitude towards the environment. The hotel is also in very close proximity to the Unawatuna beach and has many restaurants and boutiques around it. By the ingenuity of design the hotel makes a hidden paradise in the middle of the city. Rooms are well appointed and are very peaceful compared to most Unawatuna hotels. We had breakfast from the hotel which was fresh and delicious. Ideal base for Unawatuna! ***an is a great host and runs the place beautifully.

The Galle Fort hotel is a lovely hotel. Rooms are unusual as they are historically preserved but are very comfortable. There is a nice swimming pool in the middle of the hotel quadrangle. The food was very good and the staff we all very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a central part of the fort so everything within it is just a short walk away. Our 3 night stay was excellent. Guy and Jane
