Boutique Hotel Villa Sostaga

We went for our honeymoon to Lake Garda and were so glad we stayed in this beautiful hotel. Perched half way up a mountain behind Gargnano the views were astonishing. The hotel itself is such a beautiful building with lovely grounds filled with different relaxation areas as well as a pool. The restaurant was exceptional both in the quality of the food as well as the superb wine list. And all the staff were very "on it", friendly and helpful.

This villa is magical. I have travelled to so many countries. I knew it deserve a bet after I randomly called and Francesco - the owner or manager- answered and was very kind to listen to what I wanted and make an extra effort to accommodate my family. I was driving but I thought it have to be good. 2 hours later we start going up on a road on the side of Lake di Garda. Before arriving to the villa I asked my family to start filming. I can see and smell and unforgettable experience. First, the location is spectacular you can see the entire Lake Di Garda and the snowy mountains on back. Second, Francesco himself was awaiting and ready to help with anything, he gave us a fantastic room, renovated. With a balcony to the entire lake. There is a big bathroom, comfortable bed for me and my wife and a big sofa for my two kids 7 and 9. We were hungry so how about getting ham, cheese and other Italian wonders at your room. Then 7 pm time for dinner at the beautiful dinner space with the view of the lake. Wine, Cod, Pasta, Sorbeto whatelse can somone ask. Loris an Italian guy was always with a smile, looking to make you feel at home. I had to wake up at 7 am to go to my first 1:30 run in the most beautiful woods, with rivers, lakes and falls. (Only to be careful of Italian driving like they are in the highway like Francesco warned me) Overall, one of the best places I stay even comparing 5 stars luxury places. Kudos! If I have the money one day, I will Run this hotel :)

Staff and service was great. Beautiful grounds but could use some improvements. Hotel is located on the top of the mountain and so the views were beautiful but getting up to the hotel was a long winding road. Nothing around the hotel.

The hotel is very nice and the location is great. Services are also well organised. Restaurant is very nice with many good dishes. Location is quiet and not crowd, an ideal place to relax and recharge. Of course it is not cheap, but it is fully in line with a 5* hotel in this area. I recommend it if you want to have a relaxing or romantic holiday!

Absolutely loved this hidden gem of Lake Garda area. Cozy, warm, relaxing, beautiful place, to enjoy as a couple or for your own well being. Would surely return.

We have now stayed three times at Villa Sostaga. This trip was special though because I was planning to propose to my (now!) fiancée (I am glad to report that she said yes!) I chose Villa Sostaga for this event because we have formed a strong personal attachment not just to the hotel itself and its beautiful surroundings, but more importantly to the wonderful staff and the unique soul of the place. It is not just another hotel, but a work of passion. It has heart. The people care about what they are doing. And they have taste. Every piece of furniture, every piece of glassware, and every plant in the beautiful gardens, has been chosen with care and a discerning eye. The result is a unique and elegant place that truly deserves the adjective *boutique*. On top of all this, the restaurant is excellent and has a first class wine list. What's more important, though, is that the hotel really *understands* wine and how it should be served and paired. Great attention to detail is paid to the proper serving and enjoyment of wine. The head sommelier, Laurice, is a mine of knowledge about the wines on his list, the surrounding region, and the whole of Italy. We look forward to seeing him on every trip and he is a fantastic asset to the hotel. When it came to the proposal itself, Laurice and his team were delighted to help, and discreetly delivered a delicious bottle of Franciacorta on ice as soon as they saw that everything had gone smoothly. Thanks to the whole team for making this very special trip such a success. We will of course be back again in the future. Villa Sostaga will always have a special place in our hearts after this trip!

Villa Hotel Sostaga is totally perfect. Building: The whole place is a large classically Italian villa, beautifully and tastefully maintained with modern conveniences. Everything is spotlessly clean and the view is absolutely stunning. It is a seriously classy place including the occasional Lamborghini and helicopter guests. The location is up in the hills a little which is a GREAT thing as most hotels are near the lake front which has a very busy road. It is peaceful and quiet. Team: The staff are bright, welcoming, helpful and happy to engage in a variety of languages. We had a call in the car to check we could find the villa right the way through to checkout they are faultless. They have extremely high standards towards guests and nothing was too much trouble. You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here. It’s probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

An excellent stay - the location, facilities food and staff all superb. Third time we have visited and will return.
