Stayed 1 night on a Leger Holidays tour. Before arrival our guide phoned ahead to book our group of 26 people into the restaurant for dinner. We were told this would be fine and there would also be porterage for our luggage. Plus as we had an early start in the morning a take away breakfast would be supplied and we would be given a list to select our choices. However on arrival the receptionist knew nothing of the conversation stating that her colleague had gone home and no one knew anything about the prior arrangement. So no porterage and no take away breakfast list. The issue of porterage was quite a problem as there was a fair number of elderly people in our group and some of the rooms had no lift access. (In fairness the receptionist did carry one elderly gentleman's case to his room) Our group was told to go to the Restaurant at 6-30pm for dinner which we did only to be told we weren't dining in the restaurant but in the bar area. We had no proper menu to look at and on complaining we were given a hastily prepared sheet of paper with limited choice and no prices. Once again we complained about this and another sheet of paper appeared with prices. We noticed that we were being charged the same price for our limited choice menu as the Ala Carte menu so why couldn't we be given the Ala Carte menu in the first place and sit in the proper restaurant? By now it was 8pm and a couple of our group had given up on the idea of eating and had gone to bed. The service we received was also third rate. Soup arriving after the main course and no spoon to eat it with, table water was requested which arrived but nobody thought about giving us glasses to drink it, food arriving luke warm/cold. Another 2 members of our group gave up with dinner and decided to eat bar food at the bar. They ordered their food together and one arrived an hour after the first. When we finally managed to track down a duty manager and brought all the above to her attention she was unsympathetic and quite obnoxious in the manner she responded to an elderly person who raised the difficulties the hotel were obviously having in catering for a group. You would think a hotel would welcome a group of 26 into their restaurant with open arms and provide a better service. The chaotic feel also extended into the rooms. Although they were of a fair size they were a little dated. The bathroom had a very deep bathtub that was quite hazardous to get in and out of even for a tall person like myself and there was no safety grab rails. There was a kettle in the room but no English breakfast tea and paper cups. (The kind of thing you would expect in a budget hotel) In fairness the take away breakfast was good and so large it also sufficed for lunch as well. Sadly any plus points were outweighed by the appalling treatment our group received the previous evening.

Na vier dagen verblijf moet ik dit toch even kwijt. Sinds 30 jaar bezoek ik regelmatig De Buunderkamp, ik 'hang' aan dit plekje, woon in het buitenland. Eerst De Bilderberggroep en nu sinds jaren een Fletscherhotel. De suite; nisjes naast de hoofdkussens vol viezigheid en haren, de rode stoeltjes vol broodpreuzels, het bankje te vettig om op te zitten, het rode hoofdgedeelte van het bed zoals de koelkast vies. Dit is dus onder het niveau. Op de matrassen onder het laken ligt geen molton of iets wat het matras beschermt. De onderlakens zijn zo smal dat ze niet onder het matras ingestopt kunnen worden, 's morgen lig je dus direkt op het matras. Dit was ook in augustus al het geval. Van bedden opmaken is geen sprake, dekbed erover heen en klaar is Kees. Stofzuigen doen we vandaag ook niet en morgen maken we het bed gewoon niet op maar geven alleen 2 nieuwe handdoeken en legen de prullemand uit. Twee andere dagen moesten we om handdoeken vragen. Het schoonmaken van de badkamer (niet dat het vies was hoor) werd 2 dagen ook niet gedaan. De wasbakstop sloot niet ...zat nl vol vuil. Het balkon wordt al eeuwig niet aangeveegt. Suite aan de zonnige kant, nadeel is ergeren aan de ramen vol vette handen en vingers. ER WORDT GEWOON NIET SCHOONGEMAAKT. Het restaurant: redelijk vriendelijk personeel en de zondag hebben we heerlijk gegeten. Wel hadden wij na een paar dagen het gevoel dat letterlijk alles kant en klaar gekookt gekocht wordt en het opgewarmt wordt, maar ik kan me vergissen. Het ontbijt is erg basic en vanaf 9 uur kan je fruit of fruitsalade wel vergeten. Ham, kaas & co komt zo koud uit de koeling, wordt ook kant er klaar gesneden ingekocht, je krijgt de plakken niet uit elkaar. Koffieautomaten zijn voortdurend in tilt. Prijs € 150 per dag/kamer met ontbijt. Waar wij van houden: de struktuur, de ligging, de normale lichtknoppen, een verwarming die je gewoon open kan doen als je het koud hebt en een normale deursleutel.
