The common areas are very spacious, and although the dorm rooms are small, they feel very secure. There's also a small kitchen with cooking oil and some free communal food items (a bit of pasta/condiments). Even if you don't know anyone, you can chat in the living room and have a great experience.

Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Really clean and quiet. Lovely kitchen and common area. Many toilets and showers- that were also clean. Staff were very nice and the location is right in the city centre. Would return

The location is amazing for nightlife—you literally step downstairs and you're right at the nightclub. However, check-in can be tricky. I arrived late in the evening and received no self-check-in instructions beforehand, only finding out what to do after spotting a sign at the entrance. I strongly recommend reaching out to them prior to your arrival. Also, unfortunately, I ended up getting very itchy after returning home.

According to the budget, it is a good location. It's close to the center. Overall, it is good, but there are not enough toilets for the guests. They should also clean the toilets promptly since they don't have enough.

Everything was perfect

The bedroom is comfortable and the area is clean. the staff is kind and helpful. The toilet is near common room its not really comfortable but there are another toilet too.

I stayed for a week in a 6-female dorm room. It's quite hard to find staff at this hostel. On my first day, I had a lot of trouble getting into the accommodation because I hadn't been sent the instructions with the entry codes and check-in details. It was chaotic having to rely on someone opening the door for me to get in and find my room key card. They also hadn't left me a towel, so after a whole day of traveling, I couldn't shower. The room and the hostel itself are very cozy, and the people are generally very respectful. The location is ideal, but there was only one bathroom next to my room and one shower for several shared rooms. This meant they were often occupied, and I had to walk across the hostel to use the ones at the other end.

The hostel is perfect for travelers in search of a fair accommodation at the heart of helsinki city centre. It’s quite strange though that receptionists and hostel staff are almost never present and the only appearances were the one of the cleaning maid. The result is that guests don’t really communicate or interact no matter the huge living room and sofas and the fact that they all have to share the kitchen amenities. What happens is that the level of tidiness and accountability for the usage of mugs, plates, cutlery depends on your luck and the guests who check in each and every day. By the last day we had partygoers stopping only for a night out and cans of pepsi and a bottle of vodka were left on the common table (not sure if it was a shy invite to indulge) while the sink and the dishwasher were crammed with badly rinsed stuff. It’s a pity cause the common showers, the toilets and the rooms were fairly clean, we simply expected the typical hostel experience where you manage to socialize a bit more thanks to the staff.

I had a brief stay at the hostel, very easy process to check in and very informative.. The only con is that one of the shower didn’t smell too good but overall it was clean and very comfortable

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. The Yard was decorated beautifully and the common area was a lot of fun to hang out in and interact with outher people. The kitchen was small but servicable to prepare your meals, and the place was very clean. The location of the hostel is also ver y good, located near shopping malls, supermarkets and the central train station and ferry ports, making it a very convenient hub for a Helsinki trip

If you do not mind sharing rooms with strangers, this hostel in Helsinki is good for you. Luggage room is accessible by all customers, take your own risk. One shower room’s lock is broken and the door cannot be completely closed. A gap between partition is seen but can be covered by the shower curtain. Plenty rooms for showers.

The hostel is excellent, the rooms are large and super comfortable, with great beds and curtains that make it even more comfortable to sleep well. The shower is very good, there is a hairdryer and the kitchen is really cool! It was really great. My only problem was with trip.com, which didn’t send my details to the hostel, so I didn’t have the door code when I arrived, and there was no one at reception to open up, so it was stressful trying to get in.

There is a large common area and clean kitchen. The room is cozy as well. The only thing is the entrance of the hostel is not easy to find.

They didn’t send me any entry code and didn’t reply my email as well, I could go in just because somebody help, not the staff.
