"Location can’t be beat. 2min walk to the beach. Decently clean but rooms have seen better days. Lots of food options nearby. Can hear a bit of noise from the street at night but not too bad. No elevator but staff helped bring luggage up to the 4th floor. Would stay again."

"The owner was very welcoming and kind, which made the check-in experience nice. The room itself was okay, though a bit old, and the bed was a little noisy. There’s a large balcony with chairs and a table, but unfortunately no real view since it’s blocked by the building next door. The biggest issue was the water, It had a very strong odor, and every time we opened the bathroom door the smell spread into the room, which was unpleasant. On the positive side, the guesthouse is close to the beach, so the location is convenient. Overall, it was an okay stay, but considering the water issue and the condition of the room, I think you can probably find a better place for the same price nearby."

CCOMEFLYWITHLUCYWalking distance from airport, shops and beach. Lots of food in the area. Staff super friendly and were waiting for me on arrival. The loft rooms are very cute and not as small as you'd think. Ive stayed in a lot of loft rooms and this one was very spacious especially the bathroom. Room towels and pool towels provided along with mosquito repellent, coffee and water. The pool is SO clean and relaxing. Water machine at front of property along with washing machines. Sun loungers are comfy as are the tables set up outside the rooms.

22morrowsworldMy initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later). But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform. Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this. A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq ! Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste. Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine. Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaI stayed in the 4 bed mixed dorm for 2 nights on the upper deck near the door. And the overall stay is pleasant. First of all. the iron rack itself is mounted in the wall. so there will be no shaky double decker and no noise when you climbing up and down. The space is kinda wide as well so you wont find yourself squeezing in a tiny bed. Aircon is well functioning but temperature is not controllable. A towel will be provided for the stay, together with a puffy pillow and blanket. It comes with a spacious locker that can accomocadate a big luggage. Entrance to the main door and your room door using card. like a hotel you will need to slide in the same card to the socket on the wall for electricity. There is a tiny washroom in the room. shower space and toilet bowl seperated by a nylon curtain. Need to mention their toilet bowl is pretty silent when flushing which make the stay even peaceful. While on the facilities, the common area pretty mucn looks the same in the photos. Beautiful and comfortable. However, the premise is built by a river, so there is quite some whiteflies(?) kind of insect flying around. Simple breakfast including bread and jam, cookies, coffee, black tea, fruit of the day, soup of the day etc. will be provided every day. I enjoyed their pumkin soup and black tea very much. Just sitting by the pool enjoying the breakfast is very satisfiying. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Communication in english is fluent. Do take note to inform the staff upon checkin if you preferred a down deck bed. no bed change allowed once you get you key. The stay is not directly located in the center of the town. walking to the center takes around 10~ minutes. a small mall located right opposite the building. a few restaurant in the mall that smells pretty good. Tops daily is also available in the mall, and 711 is at 5 minutes walking distance. Overall enjoyed the stay very much. IIvan KraljEven if it ended with a nice gesture, the receptionist handing me a keychain gift (not sure if they do that with all guests), with a written request to leave 10/10 review, sadly I couldn't ignore the shortcomings of this hostel that seemed like just a downgraded version of Marco Polo Poshtel (not sure which one came first, but from breakfast to ”funny” wall messages, there was a similar ”creative” signature). While I was initially attracted by reviews mentioning hostel's cleanliness, I couldn't say I shared the same opinion. Certain public areas were quite messy. The staircase to the first floor (where shoes are forbidden) didnt seem to be cleaned for some time. In the showers (which had a good water pressure), there was mold. None of the three handsoap dispensers in the only bathroom had soap in them. It just felt the staff doesnt have time or organizational skills to maintain everything in working order. But I was mostly surprised by finding a not clean (i dont want to call it ”used”) bed cover in my bed. It had some fresh stains, hair and crumbles (well, not just on bed cover), and seemed just to be folded after the guest before me (even the folding seemed messed up, so i really thought maybe the bed was forgotten). When I asked the housekeeping to change it, they initially approved. The younger housekeeper started changing everything, sheet included (which i believe is a good way to do it, when it is not certain if the bed was completely changed), but when the older one returned, she made her put the sheet back (the sheet that was thrown on the floor in the meantime), laughing all along. No, that wasnt really funny. Then instead of letting the young housekeeper put on the new bed cover she brought along, i noticed that the older one brought something that seemed to be the same old bed cover that i complained about (the duvet was already inside). When i asked if that is a new thing, she was convincing me it was. Already at that moment, i felt ridiculed. But i said, ”okay, if you say so.” After all was done, i came back to my bed, unfolded the bed cover and confirmed my doubt - all this performance of changing the bed, without them changing anything! The only difference was that the bedsheet was also on the floor in the meantime. This got me really frustrated, mostly because they lied to my face (what for?), and mostly because they invested energy in ”changing” everything while actually just stripping everything off and returning it (why? It takes the same amount of energy to do it for real). Feeling like an *****, i asked what seemed to be the problem? Dont they have clean bedding, or what? But they had. I asked them to give it to me then, and i would happily prepare the bed myself. Which they accepted. Lol. I dont know, with that poor breakfast, the visual mess, unpleasant ”toilet” scent at hostel entrance, and generally low level of cleanliness (you can see how yellow the pillow is once you remove the pillow case yourself), it felt that other reviews mentioning spotless hygiene were misleading. Or were my standards too high? In any case, i stayed in a dozen of Phuket hostels during my month here, but none of them tried to insult my intelligence. There are better places, and no, Dorm Hostel sadly doesnt deserve 10/10, to quote the request they tell everyone at check-out. I also tried to leave them space for hostel improvement, so instead of lowest marks, i left average ones, even if the experience was truly below average. P.S. When a guest asks whether a ferry with a pick-up operates everywhere in Phuket, a genuinely helpful answer would be ”yes”. And not ”no, it's only our hostel's pickup”. I understand everyone just tries to earn money, but it shouldn't be done by misleading guests who just trustfully ask for information.

CCharltonFirstly, I'd like to say I was a complete dud because I managed to get my wallet into my bag with my underwear, and I assumed the worst. Nonetheless, I approached the staff on duty and they helped me search the room again and without panic or pressure they were exceptionally helpful. The staff were wonderful, unfortunately there isn't much information provided for things to do and see. The rating for the cleanliness is based on two factors. One, the shower drain was a bit clogged with old hair, and the shower head mounting was loose and nearly fell off. Cleanliness in this part also just refers to the rooms needing a bit of maintenance upkeep. Although, a major problem was the AC. It is super dirty and dusty. I had to refrain myself from using it, because i know how ACs can hold germs and dust in if they are not cleaned out every 6 months. Especially, when it's in an establishment where different people are coming in and out frequently. So not using the AC I was left dripping in sweat for most of the night. As for the room, aside from the AC, it was nice. The bed was comfortable for me. The selection of TV in case you feel like just chilling before sleeping was also nice. Netflix, YouTube, and local TV. The accommodation is in a great location, near to the Sunday market, and near cafes and bars. There is one drawback of staying in this location, and that is the fact that the room is not soundproof and all late night activities come through into the room. Ear plugs recommended. Overall, it was a good stay for a fair budget experience. I'd stay here again if I'm just looking for a place to lay my head down for a day or two, but long stays will be questionable until they ensure the ACs are frequently cleaned out. Photos mostly match what's on the profile already.

The location is nice, the hostel itself is a bargain, other than that, we had one accident with our room that required us to pay additional 1000 bath for a broken window, that has fallen by itself out of our room 🙂🙂 They’ve told us that we were in the room, so we’re responsible for it. Other than that, great service overall be careful in thailand and always film for proof, not to get into accidents🌹

EEvgenii KolginIt's funny)) I didn't see a room like mine in anyone's photos. I didn't even have a bed, just a mattress on the floor, or rather two mattresses, since it was apparently a double room. But I was just off the plane and didn't care; I was glad I was alone. The staff was polite, they gave me earplugs, but I didn't use them; I couldn't hear the bar very well. In the morning, some guys were loudly packing up things in the hallway, constantly dropping things; there's no respect for them. The hotel is fine for an overnight stay.

BBjörn AbroadThey have a bad habit of turning off their water. I was just now having a shower, shaving my head, and the water in the shower stopped. I had to walk downstairs to the reception with nothing but a towel and soapy head to ask them to turn on the water. they did so. however... When I exited the shower to brush my teeth, the water had stopped again! I waited at the reception but it seems they were hiding from me. I called The hotel number and they came downstairs. I questioned why they keep turning the water off. they just apologized and turned it back on. I don't shower profusely long. why does this hotel have a problem turning on their water? I think I know the answer... Because they have a leaky tap! I think that instead of repairing the tap, they'd rather just turn off the water...

EEkaterina.TI really like that hostel and booked it for the second time. The place is the best, everything is really near. I lived in the room for 6. Beds are private, clean and comfortable I have to notice: due to the air con timetable it may be really hot inside the room from 10 to 16, like 30+ degrees. Actually I'm ok with it, but for someone it can be difficult The shower is good, there is hot water, it's clean and I haven't seen any insects at all. One bed is really near the toilet, but I had a different one I also liked the kitchen, common balcony and pool zone. Noone actually uses it, but it's lovely to sit near I only have one complain: phone is not working, I couldn't contact reception. Once I forgot my key (my bad, but) and had to wait 5 hours outside until someone comes. I think someone should be available on the phone for emergencies. I checked if the phone available the next day, but it wasn't In general I love the place and would stay longer
