22morrowsworldMy initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later). But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform. Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this. A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq ! Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste. Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine. Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.

PPengguna TetamuThe hostel is located in a good area, the toilets and bathrooms were clean no complain, overall the staff were friendly and helpful and the environment was clean the backyard is beautiful and the breakfast was nice 🥰🥰🥰.  It’s safe to say as a black female traveling alone I felt safe staying there.

IIvan KraljEven if it ended with a nice gesture, the receptionist handing me a keychain gift (not sure if they do that with all guests), with a written request to leave 10/10 review, sadly I couldn't ignore the shortcomings of this hostel that seemed like just a downgraded version of Marco Polo Poshtel (not sure which one came first, but from breakfast to ”funny” wall messages, there was a similar ”creative” signature). While I was initially attracted by reviews mentioning hostel's cleanliness, I couldn't say I shared the same opinion. Certain public areas were quite messy. The staircase to the first floor (where shoes are forbidden) didnt seem to be cleaned for some time. In the showers (which had a good water pressure), there was mold. None of the three handsoap dispensers in the only bathroom had soap in them. It just felt the staff doesnt have time or organizational skills to maintain everything in working order. But I was mostly surprised by finding a not clean (i dont want to call it ”used”) bed cover in my bed. It had some fresh stains, hair and crumbles (well, not just on bed cover), and seemed just to be folded after the guest before me (even the folding seemed messed up, so i really thought maybe the bed was forgotten). When I asked the housekeeping to change it, they initially approved. The younger housekeeper started changing everything, sheet included (which i believe is a good way to do it, when it is not certain if the bed was completely changed), but when the older one returned, she made her put the sheet back (the sheet that was thrown on the floor in the meantime), laughing all along. No, that wasnt really funny. Then instead of letting the young housekeeper put on the new bed cover she brought along, i noticed that the older one brought something that seemed to be the same old bed cover that i complained about (the duvet was already inside). When i asked if that is a new thing, she was convincing me it was. Already at that moment, i felt ridiculed. But i said, ”okay, if you say so.” After all was done, i came back to my bed, unfolded the bed cover and confirmed my doubt - all this performance of changing the bed, without them changing anything! The only difference was that the bedsheet was also on the floor in the meantime. This got me really frustrated, mostly because they lied to my face (what for?), and mostly because they invested energy in ”changing” everything while actually just stripping everything off and returning it (why? It takes the same amount of energy to do it for real). Feeling like an *****, i asked what seemed to be the problem? Dont they have clean bedding, or what? But they had. I asked them to give it to me then, and i would happily prepare the bed myself. Which they accepted. Lol. I dont know, with that poor breakfast, the visual mess, unpleasant ”toilet” scent at hostel entrance, and generally low level of cleanliness (you can see how yellow the pillow is once you remove the pillow case yourself), it felt that other reviews mentioning spotless hygiene were misleading. Or were my standards too high? In any case, i stayed in a dozen of Phuket hostels during my month here, but none of them tried to insult my intelligence. There are better places, and no, Dorm Hostel sadly doesnt deserve 10/10, to quote the request they tell everyone at check-out. I also tried to leave them space for hostel improvement, so instead of lowest marks, i left average ones, even if the experience was truly below average. P.S. When a guest asks whether a ferry with a pick-up operates everywhere in Phuket, a genuinely helpful answer would be ”yes”. And not ”no, it's only our hostel's pickup”. I understand everyone just tries to earn money, but it shouldn't be done by misleading guests who just trustfully ask for information.

CCharltonFirstly, I'd like to say I was a complete dud because I managed to get my wallet into my bag with my underwear, and I assumed the worst. Nonetheless, I approached the staff on duty and they helped me search the room again and without panic or pressure they were exceptionally helpful. The staff were wonderful, unfortunately there isn't much information provided for things to do and see. The rating for the cleanliness is based on two factors. One, the shower drain was a bit clogged with old hair, and the shower head mounting was loose and nearly fell off. Cleanliness in this part also just refers to the rooms needing a bit of maintenance upkeep. Although, a major problem was the AC. It is super dirty and dusty. I had to refrain myself from using it, because i know how ACs can hold germs and dust in if they are not cleaned out every 6 months. Especially, when it's in an establishment where different people are coming in and out frequently. So not using the AC I was left dripping in sweat for most of the night. As for the room, aside from the AC, it was nice. The bed was comfortable for me. The selection of TV in case you feel like just chilling before sleeping was also nice. Netflix, YouTube, and local TV. The accommodation is in a great location, near to the Sunday market, and near cafes and bars. There is one drawback of staying in this location, and that is the fact that the room is not soundproof and all late night activities come through into the room. Ear plugs recommended. Overall, it was a good stay for a fair budget experience. I'd stay here again if I'm just looking for a place to lay my head down for a day or two, but long stays will be questionable until they ensure the ACs are frequently cleaned out. Photos mostly match what's on the profile already.

BBjörn AbroadThey have a bad habit of turning off their water. I was just now having a shower, shaving my head, and the water in the shower stopped. I had to walk downstairs to the reception with nothing but a towel and soapy head to ask them to turn on the water. they did so. however... When I exited the shower to brush my teeth, the water had stopped again! I waited at the reception but it seems they were hiding from me. I called The hotel number and they came downstairs. I questioned why they keep turning the water off. they just apologized and turned it back on. I don't shower profusely long. why does this hotel have a problem turning on their water? I think I know the answer... Because they have a leaky tap! I think that instead of repairing the tap, they'd rather just turn off the water...

KKseniiaLokasi hotel baik - dekat dengan pasar, kafe dan kantin, farmasi. Terdapat perhentian di sekitar sudut dari tempat bas songthaew pergi ke pantai Patong, Kata, Karon. Kawasan bandar lama adalah 5 minit pada kadar yang santai. 24 jam ”7 eleven” terletak sejauh tiga minit berjalan kaki. Akses ke bilik hanya melalui tangga, tetapi ini dinasihatkan semasa membuat tempahan. Saya tinggal di tingkat 5, ia agak sukar. Hotel ini tidak sesuai untuk mereka yang tidak boleh naik ke tingkat yang tinggi dengan tangga - pengembara dengan bagasi besar, pengembara dalam usia dewasa atau dengan masalah muskuloskeletal. Bilik ini mempunyai pencahayaan tiruan yang sangat (!) lemah, dan adalah mustahil untuk membuka langsir, kerana pemandangan dari tingkap membawa terus ke tempat letak kereta berbumbung di seberang lorong. Hotel ini menyediakan botol air, peralatan mandian (syampu, bar sabun, topi mandi), yang diperbaharui setiap hari. Bilik ini mempunyai peti sejuk, peti keselamatan, penghawa dingin, cerek, gelas, sepasang teh. Bilik ini mempunyai katil yang besar. Bantal terlalu tinggi untuk saya, tetapi itu pendapat peribadi saya. Deposit sebanyak THB 500 diperlukan semasa daftar masuk, yang akan dikembalikan semasa daftar keluar. Kakitangannya responsif dan sedia membantu dengan sebarang pertanyaan yang anda ada. Penginapan itu bagus, tetapi saya tidak akan memilihnya lagi.

SServikuПостараюсь быть объективным. Выбирал отель за два дня до прилёта, поэтому был ограничен в выборе, но хотелось попасть именно на этот пляж. Раньше он был достаточно малолюден, сейчас ситуация, конечно, изменилась Итак жирные плюсы : -Близость к пляжу (вышел из номера- попал сразу на потрясающий пляж и обалденное море. - В целом красивое место, несмотря на увеличивающийся турпоток в этом месте. Уходя влево можно попасть на живописный островок, вправо-сделаете потрясающие фото на фоне садящихся самолётов.Недалеко действующий буддистский храм. - рядом всевозможные магазинчики и кафешки на любой вкус и кошелёк, а также ночной рынок. -По сравнению с Патонгом достаточно мало(пока) людей. Рекомендуется семьям с детьми. Минусы (сразу отмечу,что был в одном номере,поэтому в общем картина по в других номерах может быть и другой: -Когда отель пишет,что в номере есть окно,он лукавит...лучше бы его вообще не было, потому что открывается сантиметров на 30 и то на лестницу, и на кусок грязного забора, а по ночам за ним происходят какие то разборки местного населения с душераздирающим криками)Спать так себе конечно..... -идёт ремонт в соседних номерах, перешагивая и перепрыгивая через кучи строительных материалов и грязные лужи не очень комфортно -Убитое бельё и мебель....ну имейте уважение к гостям, за эту цену хотя бы одеяла поменяйте..... -Стеклянная входная дверь.....мне,здоровому мужику, по большому счёту наверное не так страшно, девушкам может быть некомфортно..... -в душе плохо уходит вода, заливает по щиколотку весь пол и возле унитаза и возле мойки.... - слышимость просто нереальная....как будто в одном номере с соседями..... -В целом грязновато и неряшливо,идёшь по коридору, а вокруг всё разбросано,неухожено и т.д.... Девочки с ресепшена старались, но вот остался какой то негатив после проживания. Возможно после ремонта будет лучше.

IIrynaKAs I extended my stay at this hotel, I would like to add a few comments to my previous review, which you can find here on Trip.com. My first review gives a more detailed impression of the room and the hotel overall. During the extended stay, there was renovation work in the room next to mine. The door was often left open, the area looked quite dirty, and there was noticeable noise from the workers talking and working, which made the stay less comfortable. I also mentioned at the reception that my birthday would take place during my stay. While I did not expect anything special, even a small symbolic gesture would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment, which felt like a lack of attention to returning guests.
