Hotel berhampiran Grosvenor Park, Johannesburg

The hotel is beautiful and situated on a gorgeous golf course very close to Cresta Shopping Centre - however it feels like you are in the country. I checked in for 3 nights - looking forward to baths each night as I have only showers at thome - and was warmly welcomed by the reception team (not my first stay there so I was happy to return). I was given a room close to the pool and at first, all appeared well. The room is well appointed and very spacious with a gorgeous bath and shower. The bath however leaked out all the water and despite adjusting the pop-up plug, the water loss was significant and I eventually gave up the idea of a bath. By the way, the washbasins also leaked out all the water. I then reported it and apparently it was 'fixed' by the maintenance team the following day. Needless to say, the bath still leaked ( but slightly less this time). I again reported it for fixing the next day. The next day, I was moved to a gorgeous suite, the Ernie Els suite, which was truly lovely and much appreciated. I couldnt wait to have a bath! I ran the bath and went to make a cup of tea. I arrived back in the bathroom and .... voila! no water in the bath. Exactly the same problem AGAIN! Both washbasins also leaked by the way as I was trying to revive a bouquet of flowers in one of them and found after two minutes, the basin was empty. A few other things were wrong too - the gas fire in the room wouldnt automatically ignite - you needed a lighter (I'm a non-smoker). The curtain had come off the rail. The TV in the bedroom would not switch off and also only had a very soft volume level that could not be increased. On a positive note, the breakfasts were awesome and the general staff really helpful, professional and service orientated. The maintenance team however, needs to be challenged on the plumbing/water losses in the rooms. So I never did get my bath that I so desperately wanted in all the 3 nights I stayed there...

Good experience. The facilities were top-notch with everything I needed to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staffs were friendly and helpful to make sure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was good with many of selection for choice. The hotel's location was also excellent, with easy access to the centre of Johannesburg. Overall, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay with excellent facilities and a convenient location.

The Mint Hotel 84 gets the basics right with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service staff. My room was a standard double with a queen bed, it had everything I needed including a desk, coffee maker, and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was cleaned promptly every day. The breakfast spread in the dining area had a variety of options including cereals, toast, fruit, pastries, and eggs. The food was of average quality and freshness, nothing exceptional but sufficient to start the day. The service staff at the front desk and concierge were pleasant, helpful, and efficient whenever I had questions. They provided recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel has an outdoor pool and fitness centre, although I did not use the fitness centre during my stay. The hallways and public areas were well maintained and clean. Overall, the Mint Hotel 84 provides good, no-frills accommodations in a convenient location for exploring Katherine. The price point is fair for the quality you get, making it a solid choice for standard business or leisure travel.

What you see is what you get and then some. The staff are so polite and keen to assist; the rooms are spacious and very clean; and the breakfast has quite some variety. The location is very central within the Sandton area which makes moving around pretty easy especially since they provide shuttle services to and from the Sandton city mall.

It was conveniently situated, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Whether it was exploring the city or embarking on a safari adventure, the hotel's central location made it a perfect base for my travels. The service provided by the hotel staff was truly exceptional. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive assistance throughout my stay, I felt genuinely cared for. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met, including a special favor of allowing me to leave my suitcase while I was away on the safari. Their flexibility and accommodating nature were greatly appreciated. The hotel itself was a sight to behold. It exuded elegance and charm, with its beautifully designed interiors and well-maintained facilities. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the tastefully decorated rooms to the inviting common areas. It was a pleasure to return to such a comfortable and inviting space after a long day of exploring. Overall Rating: ★★★★★

Air conditioning was not working throughout our stay. Requested a fan several times kept being told none were available. Saw an employee taking a fan upto a room but we were still told none available. Upon requesting a compensation for the trouble we went through a fan miraculously appeared when it was almost time to check out

I am a fairly frequent business traveller and stay in many hotels- most I don’t review as they just don’t stand out! This one however, I had to review!! I arrived a little earlier than check in and was greeted by Itumelemg on reception who was very helpful! My room was on the 18th floor and really lovely and well appointed! I was even treated to an AMAZING biltong platter - thank you!! 😊 Room amenities were great (nespresso coffee and Charlotte Rhys products!) I then had a few meetings close to the hotel (within 5km) and was offered a complimentary transfer and pick up by their drivers. Siphwe really looked after me and was a great ambassador for the hotel. The hotel itself is very well managed but what sets them above their comp set is the team who represent the hotel! Well done to everyone for exceptional service! A fantastic visit- I’ll certainly be back!

Beautiful warm room, clean bathroom, including extra blanket and Coffie and tea always available for serving. Air conditioner is available and Waldrop for my clothes is conducive. telephone for communicating with reception is there including wifi.
