They gave us what we booked (superior apartment). The room was well maintained with good vibe but bathroom lacked few services (for instance, poor shower condition). Food was good enough for us. Overall service was above average. I would expect few improvements in my next visit.

Very good hotel as everything was nice. My friend and I would surely stay here again next time we visit Kathmandu. Great location, great service and friendly staff. Room is Very comfortable & Breakfast was fantastic . I Would definitely recommend this Hotel!

絕對是一家寶藏小而全酒店： 1.地理位置極佳，在泰米爾旅遊區中的富人居民區，步行五分鐘的範圍內既有各種各樣的餐廳、酒吧、商店…也有菜市（圖9），肉鋪（圖7），牛奶鋪，理髮店，sap店，生活小超市… 2.酒店設施齊全，必須要點贊廚房設施，鍋碗瓢一應俱全。我們一共住了10天，自己買菜做飯，也可買來新鮮食材請廚房幫忙加工，特別好玩兒。 3.頂樓是餐廳，早餐半自助，需要點餐，廚房是開放式，衞生情況良好。 4.水質問題，這是加德滿都的普遍狀況～由於使用地下水，所以水質堪憂，我們是自己帶了凈水殺菌過濾壺（圖5是自來水過濾前和過濾後的對比）。建議大家可以帶兩個萬能安裝的水龍頭凈水器，不然洗臉刷牙會比較麻煩。

房間很好很乾凈，離泰米爾街很近，出行方便。原本要帶孩子來的，可惜大兒作業不好好做，他爸發火取消了他的出行。變成了我一個人的旅行，獨自享用這個大房間。早上坐在客廳的小陽台上看鴿子看烏鴉，聽唸經的聲音成為了我早上愜意的時光。早飯在樓頂吃，小廚師都很和氣，每天笑咪咪的，穿白衣服廚師長衣服的男孩去過北京長城，他希望再去一次中國。一樓前台的小哥哥小姐姐還有一個大爺都很好，盡力幫助我解決問題。店主大衞是個帥小夥子，努力的在學中文。如果初次來尼泊爾，可以在店主這裏找小龍，一個尼泊爾會中文的小夥子，我在尼泊爾的行程都由他安排，非常好非常有責任心的小夥子，玩了加德滿都，奇特旺，博卡拉，很滿意。但是要注意，小龍衹作為遊客在尼泊爾的聯繫人，衹負責聯繫，購票等事宜。並不能對行程中其他人的行為有什麼約束，半自由行旅者需要有一定自我解決問題的能力，這一點務必要搞清楚。不能和國內的旅遊制度來相比，但基本約定的行程是一定可以完成的。在尼泊爾十二天，我很滿意酒店和小龍，謝謝你們！我很喜歡尼泊爾和尼泊爾人民，我會帶着孩子再來的！ 設施：全面 衞生：乾淨清潔 環境：較好，交通方便 服務：好，全力溝通，解決問題

Great experience! Breakfast on the rooftop was very good. The rooms were big, nice and clean. Very friendly personel. Especially Sreesty and Preakchya made us feel very welcome! We would recommend to all our friends! A great and quiet hotel in in a very busy town!

This is a great 3 star hotel to stay if you are in Kathmandu.I finished my trek early so i needed to extend my stay. The hotel were very accommodating. The staff were quite young but so friendly and so helpful. I was so impressed with the night porter,Sushil Korki. He went above and beyond what was required. He got up in the morning and took me to historical sites around Kathmandu. Didn't want any payment he just did it. I was so impressed with him. I am a vegan and the The chef Dipak made me a vegan breakfast each morning and cooked me a vegan meal in the evening. He even went out and purchased vegan milk for my tea and cereal.The young day receptionist Sreesty was so friendly. Made me a complimentary tea or coffee every time i went to reception. All the staff were so friendly, Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Nice bathroom and if you required were made up and cleaned every day. The complimentary water, tea and coffee were replaced daily and if anything wasn't working housekeeping would be there straight away. I cant give the hotel rating 5 stars though as if i am to write a honest review as I found my room ,which was at the front of the hotel a bit noisy at night so I have rated it 4 stars

Friendly, clean, all servants, inclusief Ali, help you very well. After cleaning we missed a small cap of the waterpurifier. They even searched the garage-bin to find it and cleanse the cap. Airco works, warm watershower once a day. Nice breakfast.

Pros Location: Quiet at the end of a dead-end, though it's on the outer edge of Thamel. Room: Spacious, clean, with good AC. The safe was quickly fixed when it malfunctioned. Breakfast: Bacon and custom eggs are a nice touch, especially in KTM. Service: Friendly, responsive staff who adapt well to guest needs. Cleaning is thorough. Amenities: Good internet and backup generator during frequent power outages. Cons Location: Dogs barking at night can still be heard. Room: No soundproofing, so you'll hear everything, from doves outside to neighbors in the hallway. The bathroom window lacks blinds, forcing us to improvise with a bathrobe. Shower pressure is weak and inconsistent, and there's no shelf for toiletries. The minibar stayed at room temperature throughout our stay. The room has a bit of a worn-down feel with strong smells of mothballs and bleach. Breakfast: Most hot items were cold, and tables weren’t well cleaned. Service: We chose this hotel for its advertised on-site laundry facilities, which are supposedly a rare find in Kathmandu. However, we were disappointed to find that the laundry service was itemized and expensive, just like most other hotels. We felt a bit misguided by this. Nearby laundromats are a much more affordable option. Airport transfer is also more expensive than local taxis, though they did offer a small discount when asked. Manager: Very friendly but did ask us for a perfect 10/10 review, which felt a bit uncomfortable. The arranged airport transfer was a bit of a hassle due to communication issues, but they did eventually sort it out. Property: Backup generator is great, but outages caused some issues with charging devices in the room, which was resolved quickly. Price is a bit high compared to other nearby hotels we stayed at.

Himalayan Ghar was a really lovely experience for me and my companions. Although we had a short stay, we had all our needs met, the breakfast was great and the staff were wonderful. The lovely receptionist also helped me pay an amount I owed to a local person with the help of a local app. The rooms were huge with an included kitchen and living room, it was an apartment hotel. The food in the restaurant was also really delicious. They also arrange tours internally and the driver was also very nice. Loved the stay, thank you :)

I paid for a week and after the second night the air conditioner stopped working. I spoke to the front desk early the next morning, but in the afternoon they said they did not know when it would be fixed. I asked for another room and they said "no, fully booked", although I could have booked one via *********** (who BTW won't even respond to my messages. So, I just booked a room on another hotel and though I'll eat the loss, I won't spoil our vacation. The owner/manager does not give a damn about guests, and there are many other hotels. STAY AWAY from THIS PLACE!!!!!!

I’ve stayed at Himalayan Ghar on two separate occasions now and both times it’s been great. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Thamel yet set back from the main street. The rooms are tastefully decorated with traditional touches and come with a range of amenities, including toiletries and a mini bar. Breakfast is also served on their lovely rooftop terrace. The service is friendly and the staff will be very happy to help arrange taxis, offer advice on day trips, etc. I’d highly recommend Himalayan Ghar as an affordable and convenient place to stay in Thamel.
