An Island Oasis

We loved Key West and plan on making it a yearly trip. The room was not what was expected. The king size bed took up 3/4 of the space. The bedding kept slipping off the bed. The mini fridge is dated, as was the mini microwave. The bathroom is small, no place for make up. Sitting on the toilet and your knees are very close to the wall. Water pressure in the shower was minimal, but it got the job done. The Window A/C unit is old. Changing the bed to a double and doing a few updates would be great. Not intended for long stays. Sitting on the bed is the only option. Tried adding photos, but it won't let me.

The ladies at reception were lovely. The recommended cab service was great. The room was very clean, spacious, and housekeeping was very efficient. The location to Duval street was convenient. The room was close to the road so clearly heard the drunks walking on South Street on Sunday and Monday night. Amenities were lacking; in-room coffee maker was terrible, pool was a hot tub not a pool, had to pay for bike rentals…Would be great if the Inn offered chairs to take to the beach and free bike rentals. The towel supply was also sp****. The door lock needed to be sprayed in order to get the key out and the weather *****ping sealing the door needs to be replaced(could see the sunlight through the door jam). All that being said, we would stay again.

Photos online do not well represent the actual rooms. Facility is not in good shape and musty, air conditioners are very dirty and air in room suffered for it.

Excellent location on the Southernmost end of Key West. Quiet but a walkable or biking distance to most places. Has Key West ‘charm’ but dated, esp. the bathroom. When we had an issue with our room, the staff was excellent at resolving it. Love being able to rent bikes and flexibility of checking in and out.

The location was good, close to the shore and downtown. But the room was extremely small, rug not cleaned, the fitted bedsheet did not stay put on both sides of the bed, and also apparently very old sheets, it had small bumps all around as sheets sometimes do when they have been used for a long time. The property listed pool but it was very small, the size of a hot tub. We would not stay there again.

I want to first say that we loved this property, we have already booked a return trip. It is a small but well-appointed room for the most part. I would recommend that the owners install some hooks in the bathroom as there is a real lack of space and hooks would help a LOT. For our return trip we will bring a set of over the door hooks. The other issue was electrical outlet access. It's an older building so this shouldnt be surprising. Bring a multi outlet surge protector or two if you have the normal number of devices that people seem to need these days. On the surface the room appeared to be clean and tidy. The window air-conditioning unit was filthy though. We spent just a few minutes cleaning it and felt better about what we were breathing in. As I am immune compromised, we bring cleaning supplies so this wasnt a big deal for us. The towelettes I used for sanitizing appeared clean after use which I always take as a good sign that the room was well cleaned. The location is fantastic if you want to be near but not in the center of the action. We visited the check in location on Duval a couple of times, either because we had a question or needed something we didnt have in the room. They were always helpful and plesant. We cant wait to go back!

This place was hardly worth the money. Roach found in the bathroom, bathroom way too small, old worn out towels, door knobs need replacing. Entry carpet stained, anyone could mess with the locks and get in. Key West is expensive but to get away with all these room repairs is just wrong and they know it. Last year we stayed at a different one of their properties and although not 5 star it was in better shape.

It was both quiet and convenient. Very close to all the places we wanted to go to in Key west.
