Beautiful hotel perfectly located a stone throw away from Killarney city centre. Friendly staff & fantastic service at both check in & breakfast. Will definitely stay here again & highly recommend.

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. The rooms, the welcome and the food all exceeded our expectations. A special mention to Evelyn and Sean in guest services, Bibi and John in the Garden Room restaurant and Enrique in Brownes bar who all helped make this a memorable weekend.

The hotel itself was wonderfully maintained but what stood out was the exemplary staff. They went above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed. I highly recommend a stay at this historic landmark. It was perfectly located to enjoy the local shops, restaurants and pubs.

This is our second stay at the Great Southern Killarney Holiday Homes, previously here in February 2024. Both experiences were wonderful, the homes were fully prepared for us with a bonus welcome package. The location is perfect to walk to Killarney as well as all the amenities nearby. Will be back again!

The Great Southern is our 100% go-to every year for 6 weeks. We literally move in & stay. We cannot find anything wrong with this hotel. The staff is amazing: everyone is perfect! The food is great. We love being there & miss it the minute we leave!

We recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend getaway at the Great Southern Hotel Killarney. From the moment we stepped inside this charming old world Hotel you get a sense of its glorious history and times past. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and professional from checkin to checkout. Our comfortable room was spacious with all amenities and a stunning view of the gardens. One of the many highlights of our stay was the exceptional dining experience in the Garden Restaurant which offered a variety of delicious options for breakfast and dinner. Overall a top drawer experience. A big shout out to Kathleen who was so engaging, Sean, Bibi, David and all the team who made our stay so memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

The service was exceptional. Breakfast was very good. The grounds and room 102, amazing. Would be my choice for a return visit. Great Southern easy walk into town, walking distance to outlets, train and bus terminal. People of Killarney quite friendly.

Went for dinner, fillet absolutely fab , service sooo friendly . Other staff soooo friendly , view of pictures on walks and picture room. Loved it. Wine man John fab. Bibi excellent. Barman Ronan couldn’t have been nicer or friendlier sharing whiskey information. Really appreciated.
