Hotel Koh Chang dengan Gim

We had an amazing stay at this hotel ! Highly recommend, the location is incredible with a direct access to the beach. The staff is very helpful and provides a lot of amenities.

We have stayed at Koh Chang Paradise Resort several times and have loved our visit every time except this last time. My in-laws came from the USA for their first ever visit to Thailand, so we chose the Koh Chang Paradise Resort with full confidence that they would enjoy their dream beach vacation with excellent “Thai hospitality.” The guest relations employee, Alex, who has worked at this resort for over 7 years handled our check-in process at the Koh Chang Paradise Resort. His behavior towards us is the reason why we will never stay here again. The resort double-booked the beachfront room we had reserved for my visiting in-laws, but they didn’t tell us that. Instead, Alex said they would upgrade my in-laws to a brand new beachfront room for the last three nights of our stay. These rooms were literally still under construction when we arrived. The room was not ready the morning of the move, so my in-laws told the front desk before breakfast that they would rather stay in the room they already were using. The front desk agreed, so my in-laws went to breakfast. After breakfast Alex found my in-laws and assured them that the new room would be ready by the supposed move time later that same day at noon, but my relatives have young children and were afraid that if something wasn’t constructed quite right or if there were any construction materials left by accident that someone would get hurt. Also, my in-laws were heading out shortly for an elephant experience, so they would not be present at the hotel at noon when the move was supposedly happening. My in-laws politely declined the move, but Alex escalated the situation by raising his voice and forcefully trying to intimidate my in-laws to acquiesce to his will. This is entirely inappropriate! No one should ever talk to a guest in this way, ever! My in-laws needed to leave for the excursion, so I stepped in and had to interact with Alex. I am disappointed with how Alex managed himself. We have rights as guests, and he raised his voice at me and tried to intimidate me into saying that my in-laws would move. He told us that the guests who were arriving always came every year and booked the same room that my in-laws were using. It’s not our fault that the room got double-booked. In fact, why did Alex even give us the room knowing that this double booking could be a problem? Completely the resort’s fault and not ours. I’m disappointed that Alex tried to blame his mistake on us. We as hotel guests who were given that room had just as much right to stay there as these incoming guests. Alex made us feel like we were insignificant and had no right to stay in the room in his attempt to intimidate us into moving so that the “VIP” guests could have the room. It was the resort’s fault, and Alex made us feel terrible with his forceful yelling. We felt belittled. Villa area rooms are super old which is double price compare to the main building where is new Not worthy it The manager at front desk is very indifferent. Thailand is rental country as someone told me. It is !

Koh Chang beach Resort report 2024, so we've been here for almost 2 weeks now. A good and calm beach is probably what many people wish for, and when booking accommodation online, it is difficult to analyze what the beach is like in reality. The advertisement photos are usually taken at high tide and thus the rocks and other bumps remain hidden. We are currently at Klong Prao Resort and we have been satisfied specifically with the beach and its quality. You have run in the water and waded along the beach many times between 09:00 and 15:00 from your own Resort to the right all the way to Flora I Talay Resort. I've been looking to see if you could find rocks, corals or anything else that hurts when you step on it. The result was 3 small murky that I brought to the beach. At least now the water is so clear that you can see the bottom perfectly. No jellyfish have been seen for the first time, a few flying fish have whizzed past us. Sand Fly critters are a bit of a problem. You can't see or hear them and in the evening there is a red pimple most often on the leg. You can find balsam at the pharmacy. My wife probably has 20 of them and I have 2 of them. The big man probably smells so bad that he leaves them alone. We stay twice in this resort in Villas A8 and B8 and we liked a lot of them. Breakfast is ok and you can start you day with fully tummy. Resort have also Minimart and there you find essential products including. Beer. Reception ladies can call you Soongtae taxi and they also give you price for your trip. These taxis are relatively cheap 100-150 Thb for 2 person for good distances. On way back from your dinner hail a taxi and show 100 Thai money in your hand to driver and tell where to go. They are mostly satisfied for compared to Samui, Phuket and Khao Lak where taxi cartel keeps prices really high. 350-400 one way private to compare. I would recommend if you like Villa type accomodation Villas from A6 to A8 and even more tranquility B3 to B10. If Villas are not in your budget try to get place to stay in the southern part of the resort. Those areas are not affected evening Techno disturbances from the bar near main gate.

We had family visiting Thailand for the first time, and we stayed at both the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort and the sister resort Koh Chang Paradise Resort across the street. If you want to read about my awful experience at the sister resort, Koh Chang Paradise, you can read my other review. Our stay at the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed the waterpark and the beach. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Two thumbs up for the staff! The only negative experience I had with a staff member was at breakfast one morning. I had sprained my ankle right before our beach holiday and was hobbling around at breakfast filling up my personal mug with tea because the provided cups were really small and I didn’t want to have to get up multiple times to refill the small cup. A chef got angry at me and told me to not use my personal mug. He raised his voice at me and told me unkindly to not do what I was doing. I explained to him that I had hurt my ankle and did not want to get up multiple times to get more tea. I don’t think he really listened to me because he kept talking to me with an angry voice about not using my cup. Thankfully all the other staff at breakfast have been great. The lifeguards at the pool were great. One of the kids in our group slipped and cut her foot, and they cared for her with proper first aid. I appreciated their professional approach! Cleaning ladies were cheerful and smiled a lot.

This is a hotel rarely located on the quiet east coast. There are not too many shops nearby. There were not too many customers and so there were not too many staff working neither. Yet the main lady staff was very friendly to help and able to communicate in English. The room was clean given that it’s surrounded by plants. The most amazing highlight of the hotel should be its “aquarium”. We could see turtles and lots of fishes swimming around while having breakfast.

-The hotel is right next to the beach and the grounds are beautiful and well kept, -The room was modern and comfortable, -Entertainment in the evening, we enjoed watching some great musicians and fire shows, -The pool over looks the beach which is great for watching sunsets, -Great location at the end of White Sand Beach with lots of shops and restaurants next door Cons -We arrived in the morning and understandably our room wasn't ready so we waited until they told us it was but after the check in time at 2pm we had heard nothing from them so we asked if we could check in, apparently our room still wasn't ready, we asked how long and they wouldn’t tell us, in the end we waited another 45mins for it to be ready. It all seemed very unorganised and stressful. -We asked for a double bed but it was 2 singles pushed together so we had a hard wooden frame in the middle of our bed, -The hook to hold the shower up didn't work so we had to manually hold the shower head whilest showering, -Basic breakfast (although the egg station was nice), -Upon check in we were asked to pay a cash deposit and when checking out they didn't give it back to us, we only remembered when we had left the hotel and had to go back and get it. The receptionist apologised and said he forgot

This place is heaven on earth! The welcome at reception sets the tone for the rest of your stay! We arrived with back packs from Pattaya and We were treated like VIPs. Absolute top class! Staff are amazing! Food was amazing. The rooms are outstanding and the local town is warm and friendly! The random visits from monkeys is an amazing addition! But be aware, they actually do creep up on you and open your room doors!! Staff aren’t joking! We’ve stayed on many islands and many places in Thailand but our expectations were exceeded here. The grounds are well kept, the surroundings are superb! My only disappointment was that the tides were high so we didn’t have any beach during our stay! (No fault of Sylvan!) I just hope the cost doesn’t get too high that they price us out of spending another break there next year!

Traveling to Koh Chang on Songkran Day, if the Accor Group uses benefits, it must be considered. Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway booked a Standard room but was upgraded to a Deluxe Seaview room and received Platinum benefits. Quite complete. The room is okay. I like it because I have to pay only 1,402 baht per night. The room is full due to a long holiday. I'm glad I upgraded. I have reserved 3 rooms, there are welcome drinks for all 3 rooms. For dinner, most of the guests leave their stomachs at the Buffet Hotel because it is Songkran Festival. Accor Plus cannot use the discount at all. The price is not expensive, only 530 baht per person, but.. Phra Chuay Thai food is delicious. Anyone staying here recommends trying Thai food. The happy hour here is satisfyingly long from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone who eats the buffet will receive a buy 1 free 1 promotion until 10:00 p.m., very worthwhile. The highlight of this place is a lot of photo angles, and taking beautiful photos, but the beach is not okay, which is a weak point. The sea water is hardly played because there are a lot of rocks. I mostly stay at the swimming pool 100% recommend if anyone sleeps here to relax and snorkel on the last day, come back to swim at the pool, take chic photos and eat buffet 🙂 Breakfast is quite suitable for Thai people, focusing on spicy Thai food. It also has my favorite pizza. The hotel has a Starbucks on the beach but does not participate in a star or membership program. For me, April 13-15 is a rest day. I'm pretty happy here. Let's just say for Accor members or group members. If anyone comes to Koh Chang, recommend here. You can get both nights and points. If there is any problem during your stay, I suggest you don't wait, hurry and share with him. He knows the problem and is ready to take care of it immediately. Come to Koh Chang next time, Mercure is still our choice.

Highly recommended this resort!!! Very nice place and location is amazing, located in the best beach in Koh Chang and it’s not far from the pier, there is convenient store and ATM in front of the resort. The resort has everything you need and fully of facilities. The food is delicious and reasonable price. All staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back!!!
