"The hotel is very cozy. We lived in a bungalow with a sea view. The advantages include: 1. Clean rooms and bed linen 2. No insects or other living creatures in the rooms. 3. A really good view - double bungalows are located in the first row right by the sea, the beauty is indescribable! 4. The beach. Yes, this is the southernmost beach and it is quite far from the main infrastructure of the island. But it is simply beautiful! Apart from the Secret AWD Beach, this is the best on the island. Shallow entrance to the sea, the cleanest, literally transparent water, soft sand without stones which is pleasant to walk on! On the pier you can take ”Instagram” photos and admire the fish that literally swim here in schools. 5. The breakfasts were good. 6. The family atmosphere of the hotel. Everything is very cozy here. The hostess cooks in the kitchen herself, she strives to help you. We came to the island directly from Cambodia, without having time to change money, the banks were closed that day, so the owner changed our money herself at a good rate. The other guests are also very nice people, and if you know English, you can make new acquaintances. For example, our neighbor in the bungalow, as it turned out, came to this hotel for the tenth time, and I understand why. 7. Well, in general, the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. When you sit in the bar, you get the impression that you ended up in one of the films of the 80-90s about adventures in hot countries or in a video of the band La ketchup. Very atmospheric. The disadvantages are minor, but they still need to be mentioned: 1. Upon check-in, we discovered that one towel, apparently, was forgotten to be washed. It is strange that no one noticed this, because it smelled strongly of sweat. 2. The price in the bar-restaurant is quite expensive. This is especially aggravated by the fact that the hotel is on the very edge of the island and the only alternative within walking distance is a restaurant 800 m from the hotel - but the food there, although cheaper, is spicy. 3. Still, you need to understand that the conditions in the bungalow are quite Spartan. Our bungalow did not have a refrigerator (there are in the rooms on the second line), nor a kettle (hot water was in the bar). The room is no frills. The shower is very simple next to the toilet and in general the bathroom already needs renovation. But the price of the hotel is the lowest of all the hotels on the island (those near the beach). However, the atmosphere and the beach more than compensate for these shortcomings)"

"We stayed at Bunyagard for a week in February. There are 8 cozy bungalows (2 rows of 4), each with a charming feel. Free water, tea, and coffee available around the clock. Simple but delicious breakfast buffet. The rooms are small, but we knew that in advance. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious! Walls are thin, which wasn’t a big of a deal. There’s been only one night with a fighting couple (hope they sorted it out by now). All other nights were peaceful. The backyard landscaping is beautiful and really well maintained — a little green paradise! There’s a shortcut through another resort to the beach — just ignore the “No Trespassing” signs and be respectful by picking up after yourself (the staff told us that as long as visitors keep the beach clean, the resorts don’t mind). Super friendly staff who helped us with heavy luggage and arranging ferry taxis. To dry our clothes we hang a line outside of our room and it wasn’t until checkout that we noticed the staff adjusted our amateur knots with some really professional knots. THANK YOU Bunyagard (next time you need to teach us)! One lady is fluent in English. And with google translator we’ve been able to communicate with all the staff. Where there’s a will, there’s a way ;) 5/5 🤍 We’re definitely looking forward staying at Bunyagard again!"

"We stayed here for three nights. Beautiful green grounds, a nice beach with clear water. The tent has air conditioning, which is important, comfortable mattresses, a refrigerator, and a safe. The bed linen is crisp white, and the bath mats are huge and soft. Umbrellas are available in the tent and throughout the grounds in case of rain. Despite the lack of a private bathroom, everything was quite comfortable. There are plenty of showers, hair dryers, shower gel, and shampoo in each stall. The campground has a beach bar and a pizzeria, where we tried the most delicious pizza in Thailand. 👍🏻Prices are above average. Credit card payments are accepted. The breakfasts are delicious. You can choose between English or Asian breakfasts. They make delicious cappuccino. When the weather is nice, there's an open-air cinema! Kayaking and motorbike rentals are available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The glamping site is still under construction. Once completed, massage services and sports equipment will be available. Perhaps some other amenities. Suggestions for a more comfortable stay: - Fix the lighting issue from the main road to the campsite. It's scary to walk to the nearest store in the dark at night. While there's no lighting, put a flashlight in the tent (phone flashlights don't provide much light). - Perhaps open a small shop on site with essentials/cosmetics. - Provide hand/face towels or simply place napkins in the restroom so people can dry their hands. - Install a small mirror in the tent so they can check themselves in the morning. 😁 - It would be nice if upon check-in they told us where breakfast is served and that we can choose from the menu, where we can get beach towels, and which way the restrooms and showers are. "The hotel is in a beautiful place. The territory is clean. The hostess is friendly. We had breakfast included. The food is ok: fried eggs, sausages, meat, sometimes noodles, vegetables, fruits, waffles, bread, tea, coffee, juice. You won't go hungry!)) The location is good. We didn't have a moped, so we walked to the nearest beaches, and there are 4 of them. We went to distant beaches by taxi for 100 baht per person. I recommend it, it's a good hotel."

"Captain Hook is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The villas are nice, we stayed in a room with its own mini pool. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel can help you arrange boat rides, scooters to rent, ferry tickets, etc. Some amenities the resort offers are massages, fire shows, snorkeling, kayaking, and skiing. You should know that there is no beach in front of the resort, but it’s a quick swim/canoe to the beach across from the resort. The restaurant and bar sits right on the water and offers various western and eastern options. We would definitely recommend the fried chicken wings! It was a great holiday and we would choose this resort again when we travel to Koh Kood in the future."

"Wonderful hidden gem located on a wonderful beach. Around 16 bungalows facing the beach with a huge green area filled willed with palm trees, bushes, plants, flowers, swings and tables. Well maintained and staffed by friendly talkative people who want your stay to be perfect. The breakfast is made to order and all you can eat. Small restaurant is also availability for lunch and an early dinner. Nice tables in front of bungalows along with water to wash feet. The bathrooms are actually outside but private and behind the bungalows. They are filled with seashells and plants. Make your reservations in advance during December thru February. I Will always return"

"Trip.com listed the room as non-air-conditioned, but when I got there, it was air-conditioned. The resort was spacious, inexpensive, and hard to find, so I struggled to find my bungalow that night. There were plenty of fish under the resort's pier, making snorkeling a breeze. A snorkeling mask cost 100 baht, and a kayak was 100 baht per hour. There was a flat rock near the pier large enough for adults to stand on, so if you put your smartphone in a waterproof case, you could easily take videos. (Just be careful not to cut your feet on the rocks.) Feeding the fish attracted them. The minimart on the resort sells sunflower seeds and other items, so I recommend buying them. When staying on an island, shower pressure and hot water temperature can often be a concern, but the hot water at this resort was warm, which was very helpful for warming up after snorkeling."
