附近就有便利商店、溫泉、渡月橋，行李放一放就能去附近晃晃，景色隨便拍拍都很好看。 英文、中文都能溝通，住的晚上跟其他不同國家的人一起在一樓休息廳聊天喝茶、吃東西非常開心。 洗衣機、烘衣機也都能使用，要記得去附近的便利商店買洗衣粉就好！ Check in的時候會問的溫泉可以去！露天和室內的都能用，泡的全身通順。附的早餐是附近的餐廳，味道不會太鹹，好吃！ 這次聊天很開心，會成為我很棒的回憶！有機會再來京都一定會再來！！！(((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))♡

From the moment we arrived at Roku Kyoto, we felt completely taken care of. From the warm greetings we received as we got out of the taxi to the genuine smiles and hospitality given to us at Reception. There is a pride that exudes from everyone at Roku Kyoto, and for good reason. It is an absolutely extraordinary hotel. But it's not just the beautiful accommodations and the incredibly thoughtful design throughout the property. Nor is it just the sumptuous food stunningly presented at every meal. It is the people who work there and represent the true heart and soul of what the Roku Kyoto experience is all about. My wife and I have traveled all around the globe and we have rarely encountered such a level of excellence. The architectural design, the interior design, the facilities and the grounds are all stunning. In fact, the photos from their website do not do it justice. The room we had on the 4th floor was gorgeous and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed we have ever encountered (and we travel often!). The tranquility, the views, the attention to detail throughout the hotel are are not just glorious but absolutely inspiring. The gorgeous pool is filled with water from the natural hot springs that abound in that area of Kyoto. It is a sumptuous experience to swim in that very special pool. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was the best we encountered in Japan. The food was beautifully prepared , the choices were extensive and stunningly displayed and the service was impeccable. In fact, service is another thing that sets this extraordinary hotel apart. It's not just well done, there is a pride and a joy that emanates from every member of the staff, no matter what their position. It's what gives this place true heart and soul and it's what elevates the experience. We will never forget our stay at Roku Kyoto and cannot wait to return! We would like to especially thank Kayo Naskagawa. Her attention to detail, her inherent ability to go the extra mile for a guest. Her sweetness and ease. Her ability to listen and use that information to heighten the Roku experience for a guest. Kayo, for us, represents everything we love about Roku Kyoto and why we cannot wait to return.

四条堀川の交差点直ぐ近くにあるホテルです。深夜にチェックインしたのですが、フロントの方は親切で、嫌な顔もせずに対応して頂けました。部屋も奇麗でアメニティも充実しており、充電用のUSBポートもあって非常に助かりました。ただ、大浴場を使うことが前提なのか、部屋にはシャワーブースしかありませんでした。部屋でゆっくりと湯船に漬かりたい方にはマイナスかも知れません。個人的には大浴場の方が嬉しいので、全く問題はありませんでしたが。 交通の便が良い点も良かったです。四条堀川のバス停からは京都駅だけでなく、金閣寺や清水寺、東寺、二条城、嵐山など有名観光地にも一本で行けますし、祇園や河原町の繁華街へも乗り換えなしで行けます。一度乗り換えが必要になりますが、南禅寺や銀閣寺などにも行けます。少し歩けば阪急の大宮駅や嵐電の四条大宮駅がありますし、観光にせよビジネスにせよ非常にアクセスは良いです。ホテルのすぐ南にはファミリーマートがありますし、その先にはセブンイレブンもあるのでちょっとした買い物にも困りません。 宿泊費もリーズナブルでしたし、お勧めのホテルです。

I’ll start with location, which was very convenient. Room was very clean and amenities were nice. Very close to the bus stops and subway. Has many coffee shop and supermarkets around. The staff was super helpful and nice. Beside the front desk foreigner administrator who was kind of rude, everyone was super professional and helpful.

Location is good - nearest local subway station is Shijio which is 8 minutes walk or 1 bus stop away and Shijio station is 2 stops away from Kyoto station. Alternatively, there is a direct bus #50 or book a ride from Go app (about 1,500yen). Bus #207 adjacent street can bring you to Nishiki Market, Gion and Kiyomizu-dera temple area - along the bus journey, you will bypass shopping district which you can find ABC Mart, Lush, Daimaru, Ichiran Ramen, Takashimaya and many more). Next to the hotel, there is a family mart. Within 150m walk, you can find MOS burger, Tully's coffee and local ramen shop. We booked the Premier room - interior was nice and cozy with a mixed of both traditional and modern feel. However, we hardly had the space to accommodate our 2 large and 2 small bags. Staff are friendly and nice. Basic English communication is ok.

The hotel is a bit business style and the TV in the room is quite small. The hotel comes with swimming pool but you need to pay extra to use the amenities (about $10-20 per person). We felt the locals (taxi driver for example) aren't really welcoming foreigners (English speaking) and might act a bit rude, but besides that, the town is quieter than Osaka and we enjoyed dining at Yakiniku Yaruki - Shijo Kawaramachi (all you can eat BBQ with wagyu beef).

When visiting Kyoto, we wanted to enjoy some time in an onsen resort so we decided to spend two nights in Ogoto Onsen. After checking the details in their website, we booked a ”Biwa no kaze”room with private onsen and view of Lake Biwako. And we were not disappointed. The room looks newly renovated, and is very spacious with two beds and sitting area plus a tatami room. They offer different dinner packages, and we have chosen crab with steak as the main dishes for the first night, and lobster with shabu-shabu the second night. The foods were of very high quality, tasted and looked very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of different items. The ryokan is excellent in nearly all aspects. We would stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.
