Hotel berhampiran Juzenji Temple, Kyoto

The hotel was amazing. It’s close enough to Goin and Yasaka shrine to walk. You can also walk to nishiki market. There’s also a bus stop and 7/11 right outside the hotel. The staff was great, they let me borrow a charger when mine broke and the complimentary pastries in the morning were great. My only complaints are that the room was a little too dark for my liking, even with all the lights on and there isn’t a refrigerator and complimentary bottle water in the room. But overall, great place, I’ll definitely stay again.

The location of hotel is in a walking distance from Kyoto Station. It is not close to the town 四條町. Every time when we go for shopping, we need to take a bus to the downtown. Easy access to anywhere by bus. The hotel staffs are very professional. The breakfast is highly recommended to book before departure. The hot spring, the room size, buffet breakfast, the service of reception are in a high standard. Highly recommended to the travelers who is planning to Kyoto. Interesting point: No shoes in this hotel. U need to lock your shoes in the locker before you walk in the hotel. They provided socks for you to wear.

Overall was okay, a bit far from Kyoto staion. But, hotel has shuttle bus every 20 mins and make it more convenient. Service and amenities were nice. The worst part was humidity of the room and cleanliness (quite low compared to Japanese standard), plus bedsheets were smelly.

We had a delightful stay at Hotel Pagong with M's in Kyoto. Although the room was compact, it was perfectly adequate for two guests. The service was consistently kind and attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, with a convenient 15-minute walk to Nishiki Market and both a 7-Eleven and Family Mart less than a block away. We highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, friendly service, and prime location.

Meine Eindrücke in Kurzform: Lage: Keine Fussgängerlage, jedoch mit dem Zug nur 1 Station, 4 min., von HB Kyoto weg. Die Station ist 250 m vom Hotel entfernt. Essen in der Nähe vom Hotel: Keine grosse Auswahl, da in einer Wohngegend und nicht in einer Touristengegend. Hotel: Typisches, japanisches Hotel. Schuhe sind am Eingang ausziehen. Anschliessend kann man das ganze Hotel entweder Barfuss oder in Socken begehen. Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Im Zimmer hat es Pyjamas. Die Zimmer sind klein, jedoch Tiptop im Schuss gehalten. Onsen: Es hat 2 offene Bäder, getrennt nach Frauen und Männern. Zudem hat es 5 private Onsen. Diese sind 24h offen. Reservieren muss man nicht. Wir hatten immer ohne Probleme ein freies vorgefunden. Sonstiges: In jedem Stock hat es eine Auswahl an Kissen in jeder Variation. Zudem hat es Kimonos die man nehmen kann. In der Lobby gibt es Kaffe und Tee. Zudem gibt es Abends von 10 - 11 im ersten Stock Nudelsuppe. Ich würde dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

When visiting Kyoto, we wanted to enjoy some time in an onsen resort so we decided to spend two nights in Ogoto Onsen. After checking the details in their website, we booked a ”Biwa no kaze”room with private onsen and view of Lake Biwako. And we were not disappointed. The room looks newly renovated, and is very spacious with two beds and sitting area plus a tatami room. They offer different dinner packages, and we have chosen crab with steak as the main dishes for the first night, and lobster with shabu-shabu the second night. The foods were of very high quality, tasted and looked very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of different items. The ryokan is excellent in nearly all aspects. We would stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.

Stayed at Youzanso during late March 2023. It was during the cherry blossom season. We (family of four) had the room with the Lake Otsu view and private bath. The room was sufficient for 4 of us but I wouldn't call it spacious. However, the room and bathroom were clean. The room came with dinner and breakfast for 4 of us and costed about AUD800. The dinner and breakfast was quite good and would recommend to anyone considering the half board. It might get old if u were staying for few days but we were only there for one night. We toured Kyoto for the day and stayed here overnight then went back to kyoto for more sightseeing. It wasn't as convenient as if you stayed in Kyoto but the travel wasn't long or difficult. The property is bit dated and looks more like a hotel than a ryokan. The facilities are clean but also look dated as well. However, the public onsen is great, clean and the outdoor bath is a must. Located conveniently, train station is just across the road. Staffs are friendly and politely, service go beyond miles. Unique private onsen with different themes. Very nice kaiseki dinner in the restaurant on first floor. Various Arashiyama tourist attractions and locations situated within walking distance. Will definitely return again.
