We chose this hotel due to itsʻ location and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was helpful and provided information in Japanese and English. We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. Having lived in Kyoto for a long time, this was our first time to stay in a hotel and would recommend it for sure.

We had a delightful stay at Hotel Pagong with M's in Kyoto. Although the room was compact, it was perfectly adequate for two guests. The service was consistently kind and attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, with a convenient 15-minute walk to Nishiki Market and both a 7-Eleven and Family Mart less than a block away. We highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, friendly service, and prime location.

四条堀川の交差点直ぐ近くにあるホテルです。深夜にチェックインしたのですが、フロントの方は親切で、嫌な顔もせずに対応して頂けました。部屋も奇麗でアメニティも充実しており、充電用のUSBポートもあって非常に助かりました。ただ、大浴場を使うことが前提なのか、部屋にはシャワーブースしかありませんでした。部屋でゆっくりと湯船に漬かりたい方にはマイナスかも知れません。個人的には大浴場の方が嬉しいので、全く問題はありませんでしたが。 交通の便が良い点も良かったです。四条堀川のバス停からは京都駅だけでなく、金閣寺や清水寺、東寺、二条城、嵐山など有名観光地にも一本で行けますし、祇園や河原町の繁華街へも乗り換えなしで行けます。一度乗り換えが必要になりますが、南禅寺や銀閣寺などにも行けます。少し歩けば阪急の大宮駅や嵐電の四条大宮駅がありますし、観光にせよビジネスにせよ非常にアクセスは良いです。ホテルのすぐ南にはファミリーマートがありますし、その先にはセブンイレブンもあるのでちょっとした買い物にも困りません。 宿泊費もリーズナブルでしたし、お勧めのホテルです。

We loved this hotel. The paper-free check-in was a surprise, but after that it was all good. Our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast service was good, the staff were friendly and the lounge area was fine. It was easily the nicest/most convenient hotel we stayed in during several weeks in Japan. The subway and buses were close, and the main station was only an easy 15-20 minute stroll. The only small downside was that there were only a handful of restaurants close by, but that was something we could easily plan around.

Overall was okay, a bit far from Kyoto staion. But, hotel has shuttle bus every 20 mins and make it more convenient.
Service and amenities were nice. The worst part was humidity of the room and cleanliness (quite low compared to Japanese standard), plus bedsheets were smelly.

Meine Eindrücke in Kurzform: Lage: Keine Fussgängerlage, jedoch mit dem Zug nur 1 Station, 4 min., von HB Kyoto weg. Die Station ist 250 m vom Hotel entfernt. Essen in der Nähe vom Hotel: Keine grosse Auswahl, da in einer Wohngegend und nicht in einer Touristengegend. Hotel: Typisches, japanisches Hotel. Schuhe sind am Eingang ausziehen. Anschliessend kann man das ganze Hotel entweder Barfuss oder in Socken begehen. Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Im Zimmer hat es Pyjamas. Die Zimmer sind klein, jedoch Tiptop im Schuss gehalten. Onsen: Es hat 2 offene Bäder, getrennt nach Frauen und Männern. Zudem hat es 5 private Onsen. Diese sind 24h offen. Reservieren muss man nicht. Wir hatten immer ohne Probleme ein freies vorgefunden. Sonstiges: In jedem Stock hat es eine Auswahl an Kissen in jeder Variation. Zudem hat es Kimonos die man nehmen kann. In der Lobby gibt es Kaffe und Tee. Zudem gibt es Abends von 10 - 11 im ersten Stock Nudelsuppe. Ich würde dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

When visiting Kyoto, we wanted to enjoy some time in an onsen resort so we decided to spend two nights in Ogoto Onsen. After checking the details in their website, we booked a ”Biwa no kaze”room with private onsen and view of Lake Biwako. And we were not disappointed. The room looks newly renovated, and is very spacious with two beds and sitting area plus a tatami room. They offer different dinner packages, and we have chosen crab with steak as the main dishes for the first night, and lobster with shabu-shabu the second night. The foods were of very high quality, tasted and looked very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of different items. The ryokan is excellent in nearly all aspects. We would stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.

Stayed at Youzanso during late March 2023. It was during the cherry blossom season. We (family of four) had the room with the Lake Otsu view and private bath. The room was sufficient for 4 of us but I wouldn't call it spacious. However, the room and bathroom were clean. The room came with dinner and breakfast for 4 of us and costed about AUD800. The dinner and breakfast was quite good and would recommend to anyone considering the half board. It might get old if u were staying for few days but we were only there for one night. We toured Kyoto for the day and stayed here overnight then went back to kyoto for more sightseeing. It wasn't as convenient as if you stayed in Kyoto but the travel wasn't long or difficult. The property is bit dated and looks more like a hotel than a ryokan. The facilities are clean but also look dated as well. However, the public onsen is great, clean and the outdoor bath is a must. Took this photo of the external bath when no one was present and the ambiance was really something...

JR亀岡駅からすぐ。目の前にはサンガスタジアムが。高騰している京都市内のホテルに辟易していた私は多少時間はかかりますがリーズナブル&JR一本で京都まで行ける亀岡での宿泊にして正解でした。オープンして数年の為、まだ館内は新しく大浴場や岩盤浴もあります。無料の朝食サービスは思っていた以上に内容が充実していました。手作りのおにぎりは種類もいくつかありおいしい！駅まで戻らないとコンビニがないので買い出しした後にチェックインするほうが便利です。

LLi Ing Sheryl LeeWe like how the check in was done through an automated system which was easy to use. A staff is nearby to help if help is ever needed. The hotel also offer amenities in the lobby for guests to self-help which even include facial products like make-up remover and masks. The hotel room was clean and beds were comfortable. The pillows provided are of 2 intensities - hard and soft so that guests can choose to use whichever work for them. Sufficient space in the hotel room. The service staff are always smiling and pleasant to talk to. When I called the front desk to check if I could borrow their travel adaptor and I offered to go down to collect from them. The front desk helped to deliver it up to my room in less than 5min. I really appreciate their effort. All in all, this hotel is very efficient and we enjoyed our stay.

RrussyauA short walk from the Kyoto station, but wishing it was connected to it underground as the ground temperature was ＞35C and the station has very limited lifts to the ground level, get sweat to move large luggage up to the ground level...
The hotel though is super nicely designed and zen, the staff are super helpful.

Nestled in the heart of Kyoto, the hotel's location was simply perfect. It provided easy access to some of the city's most iconic landmarks and cultural attractions, ensuring that I could explore the beauty of Kyoto with utmost convenience. Whether it was the majestic Kinkaku-ji Temple or the serene Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, everything was within reach, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the city's rich heritage.
The hotel's architecture and interior design were a true reflection of Kyoto's aesthetic beauty. The moment I entered the lobby, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and harmony. The attention to detail was impeccable, with traditional Japanese elements seamlessly integrated into the contemporary design. The serene garden views from the common areas only added to the overall charm and provided a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city.
The staff members at the hotel were the epitome of hospitality. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout my stay, they went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Their genuine smiles and willingness to assist with any request created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Their knowledge of the local area and recommendations for sightseeing and dining were invaluable, enabling me to make the most of my time in Kyoto.

Terletak di sepanjang jalan yang meriah yang dihiasi dengan restoran daging lembu yang lazat dan bersebelahan dengan kedai ubat 24 jam yang menawarkan harga yang kompetitif untuk kosmetik dan ubat-ubatan, lokasi hotel menjanjikan kemudahan dan menyelami budaya tempatan.
Sebuah penubuhan yang agak baru, Ala Hotel Kyoto menawarkan salah satu onsen luar terbaik yang pernah saya temui dalam perjalanan saya. Terletak di tingkat 10, onsen ini disertai dengan ruang istirahat zen yang tenang, sesuai untuk berehat selepas berendam atau menunggu penyiapan pakaian. Walaupun perkhidmatan dobi adalah percuma, tetamu harus ambil perhatian bahawa detergen tidak disediakan.
Walaupun makanan ringan percuma tidak ada, kemudahan onsen yang luas dan suasana tenang mengimbangi pengawasan tersebut. Walau bagaimanapun, perlu dinyatakan bahawa waktu operasi onsen adalah agak terhad, ditutup pada pukul 11 malam setiap malam, dengan hanya dua pengering rambut tersedia.

Nnatashahad a pleasant stay at kyoto tokyu hotel! the room was clean, spacious and the staff are so friendly and sweet ~ they have a shuttle bus that goes to Kyoto station every hour which is so useful! the shuttle bus stops just right outside the hotel :) will definitely come back again !!

JJobiesThe hotel is near a subway line, and there are two 7-11 convenience stores nearby. The location is great, and the hotel room is big and clean. I’m satisfied with the price and the quality provided. The breakfast is good too. I will definitely come back if I visit Kyoto again.

BBelle MuguetGood location, excellent service , quiet & clean & modern hotel, good price to reserve it via online , room size is great ( not too small or not too big) , provide the locker free service at lobby , very convenient to take any transportation which is very closed to hotel, breakfast has many traditional Japanese food , is delicious ( suggest to provide little be more western food to the customers who may not enjoy eating daily Japanese food for breakfast) , having a traditional check in with staff and check out to use the machine which can save our time to line up long queue , have a large lobby for a rest ., having 7 eleven next to the hotel very convenient. I like they use a card to show the other guest which table is available as well as you don’t worried about someone just sit on when you go to take your food n easy for waiters clean the table for next guest too, smart arrangement 👍🏻for breakfast buffet

Saya akan menginap di Pocket GoJo pada bila-bila masa tetapi Pocket ShiJo dikelilingi oleh dua jalan beli-belah: jalan ShiJo dan pusat beli-belah Nishiki.

PPengguna TetamuLovely hotel within a few minutes walk from Kyoto station (Shinkanshen side, the station is huge). We enjoyed 4 nights stay here and used it as a base to explore Kyoto and day trips to Osaka (Universal Studios/Osaka aquarium &Dontonbori). The rooms were clean and the balcony was a nice place to enjoy a cold drink after a long day. We used the hotel onsen twice during our stay, it was quiet during the afternoon, you can check how busy it is on the TV before going. The onsen was a great place to relax. We also did laundry at the hotel but found that the washing machines were often occupied and the drying took a long time - in the end I took the damp laundry across the road to the laundrette and dried it quickly there. I would recommend using the laundrette to save time. The staff were polite and helpful. We used the luggage forwarding service at the front desk which was a straight forward process. There are good restaurants within a couple of minutes walk in the surrounding streets. Overall, we had a lovely stay here and we would visit again.

PPengguna TetamuWe had an excellent stay at this Machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse) for 3 days. We only did in-room dining one night, but that was also excellent. The check-in process is a little strange, as you will receive communication from the company that's a little dense and will not interact directly with the staff unless you choose to. We had to scan and send our passport photos and fill out a registration card, but that was it. The property is small by European/American standards in the sense that you will need to be careful to avoid damaging (including possibly your own head) things during your stay due to height and luggage weight. There's slippers provided to switch from your walking shoes to walking inside the property and there is an excellent bathtub and washroom with washer. My two cautions - this firm has English speaking employees available during business hours (and an emergency line) but it is geared primarily towards the Japan renter. Be prepared to know Japanese or be willing to take the time to translate certain things via your cell phone/app of your choice to understand how to work the various appliances. As an older building, learning the heating/cooling. The second caution, as an older building sound is an issue. You will hear the street and need to control your volume in order to be a polite guest. If this isn't something you're looking to do, then just throw the money at a more modern hotel experience. We liked it - not everyone will.
