PPengguna TetamuThis is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.
It’s formerly known as Rosewood Yangon and now reopened for 8 months. Everything is excellent, very friendly, patient and helpful staff, extraordinary service. The hotel’s history dates back to 1927 so it’s absolutely a historical building. The decoration is very exquisite, breakfast is tasty and there are many choices. The location is also good and safe, very near to Sule Plaza, General Post Office and British Embassy. On terrace you can see the river view.
I want to especially express my gratitude to Vanessa and Swar, they provided me with a lot of detailed information so I can know more about this hotel, this city and this country. Please make sure they can receive this feedback and my appreciation!
Meanwhile, the front desk Moo Thaw, Luca showed me the hospitality.
Next time I come to Yangon, I would consider choosing this hotel again, and also I will recommend it to my friends.

Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon.
Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements.
Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era.
What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. PPengguna TetamuIt is not quite easy to put a fair review for this hotel. At a very first glance, with the ongoing political unrest in Myanmar, the effort to reopen the hotel and rehire all the staff deserve a great compliment.
Nonetheless, the shortfall in service and amenities should not be compromised with the situation and some area such as cleanliness should not fall short especially when the hotel priced themselves at the highest in the city.
The management should really consider to focus on guests service and sincere hospitality and that they can have customers who are willing to pay at any price rather that worked any way possible to cut the cost and let the staff to deal with insufficient amenities and services.

LlinbewieThe hotel is clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread is decent and since the breakfast hall is on the top floor, the view is nice. Location is good with convenience shop and a small mall within reasonable walking distance. Highly recommended for those looking for a place with value for money.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaBalmi Hotel is located in the heart of the city, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was reasonably clean, offering a comfortable stay.
However, I did encounter an issue that needs attention. I spotted two small cockroaches during my stay. While this did not ruin my experience, it needs to improve pest control measures. Addressing this would greatly enhance the overall quality of the stay.
Despite this, Balmi has a lot to offer and could easily be a top choice for travelers once this issue is resolved.

00519青旅在老城區，離中央火車站不遠，一樓大廳，住宿在二樓和三樓，床單一客一換，房間有桌子，衹是窗户缺乏維護，關不上。前台有一位會點中文的男孩很好。工作人員衹會當地語，交流不暢，退房時前台還要我付最後一天房費，我已付，他説沒收到，幸虧會點中文的男孩出來證實我已付清房款。

AAleksandr travelerХороший отель. Местоположение в центре - в шаговой доступности магазины, уличная еда, обмен валют. Если немного пройтись пешком или такси - пагоды Шведагон и Суле. При отеле на последнем этаже кафе с завтраками. Вообще самые приятные впечатления о Янгоне и Мьянме вцелом. В данный отель вернусь при следующем визите.

The hotel is located in the city center, no big problems to get anywhere.
Most of the staff is friendly, but the problem is that only one of the staff speaks good English. Also the owner of the place speaks English.
It happens that under one type of room with one name there can be 2 types of rooms: you can easily be given a room without windows, or you can be given a smoky room.
I do not recommend to take breakfast, as it is rather poor for this price and the choice of dishes is not great.
Do not think of giving your clothes to the laundry. A few things were in disrepair afterwards.
Overall, a normal hotel with a good location and friendly staff, if you are willing to sometimes long to explain your needs or fight for the paid level.
