Just a few minutes' walk downhill from the main street, the location is very convenient and the surroundings are quiet. The owner is incredibly welcoming and even provided transfers to and from the high-speed train station. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was especially nice to meet the owner, who is from the same home province of Guangdong – it felt like meeting a relative! There's also a very well-behaved and adorable little cat on the first floor of the guesthouse!!! On the way to the high-speed train station from the Dong village, the owner also shared some interesting local customs and traditions. They mentioned that it snows in winter, making the village scenery even more special. I'd love to visit again if I get the chance!

The guesthouse offers a pick-up and drop-off service from the high-speed train station and is located near the village entrance, so you don't have to drag your luggage over uneven stone paths. It's also only a three or four-minute walk from the main street, making it super convenient for dining, drinking, and sightseeing. The room has an excellent view of both the village and the lake, as shown in the first picture. It's very clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The owner is from Guangdong and is incredibly welcoming. He told us about Dong culture, gave us tips for sightseeing and dining, helped us buy tickets for local performances, and even invited us for tea 🍵. Overall, I highly recommend choosing this guesthouse!!

The hotel is located very close to the entrance of the village and the main road. However, the building itself is a bit old and could use some renovation. The overall environment and hygiene are just average, and it's quite overpriced.

The place is slightly uphill away from the busy main street and the room was big and clean. I had caught a cold and therefore extended my stay and took it slow in Zhaoxing. The owner was very kind and attentive and even offered to take me to see the doctor. I would definitely stay here again and maybe rent a little e-scooter to explore the surrounding area. Next time I will spend the extra money to book a room with a view and hopefully get to see the triple rainbow. Thank you for the medicine and the Guangdong soup!☺️

If you like top notch luxury, this isn’t it. If like warmth, hospitality, good views (if you choose the right room), a good location and friendly hosts, this is it!

The owner was waiting to pick us up at Congjiang station and also brought us after checking out. Very helpful. The hotel is in a quiet side street close to the main street. The room was pleasant and clean. There were large umbrellas available when it started to rain.

Great little hotel. Eric the owner did everything in his power to make our stay as pleasent as possible, from the pickup from the train station, helping with the Chinese and inviting us for tea. Very recommended.

Really nice service ! They come to pick me up at my station which was really thoughtful ! I enjoyed my 2 days 1 night in the Village. Could enjoy the night. Really nice location and hotel.

Overall, a satisfying experience. The customer service level was top notch, free pickup from the train station and help with the bags. Very kind and helpful. The location is perfect, close to the town and an amazing view from the balcony 😍 The room itself was relatively comfortable. Could just have a few minor improvements, the mattress was quite hard, and the facilities are quite old, but it is understandable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would love come back! + really nice, open and warm hosts/staff: we felt very welcomed, had really sweet conversations, got great recommendations for activities and places to visit in and around zhaoxing, were picked up from the train station, were invited for tea and youcha and even got a room upgrade + clean, comfy and spacious rooms with great views and aircon + great location - right at the village entrance in a calm street close to all major attractions + easy and fast communication via wechat

Fantastic stay! The rooms are well appointed, clean and with everything you need. The hotel is in a convenient and quiet location. The staff helped us arrange transfers to nearby villages and even arranged for us to transfer to our next destination. Absolutely recommended!!

Extremely pleasant stay made possible by the most welcoming proprietors, who went all the way to help us arranging everything we need, such as private transport. Location is great as it is just at the fringe of the busy main street. Highly recommended.
