Really bad experience. Bed linen was not changed. Visible hair and wrinkles on the bed linen from the previous user. Upon my request they moved me to a different room, however the situation was similar with an unchanged bed linen. One side of the bed was wrinkled and the other side was ok so I remained In the room used the unused side of the bed. Didn’t want to move my things again to a different room and I was suspecting the same scenario. This morning I complained at the reception staff called Mohamed and he agreed to email me after discussing this issue with him manager , but I have heard from him.

I would thoroughly recommend the Hampton by Hilton Old Street London. It’s a quiet area in the financial district at night you’ll get a good sleep. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom has liquid soap the showers has shampoo, conditioner & body liquid soap too. The breakfast is everything you need. Hot & cold food available. The staff smile are friendly and very helpful. The gym is plenty big enough for cardio & weights, probably only fit 4 people comfortably, but it’s open 24/7 so easy to work around. Just an FYI my mum & I were located on level 2 which is underground. Don’t let this be a concern. No different to any other floor except the window is kind of frosted out, you cannot see out of it. But it’s not a problem if you are really only using the hotel to sleep in. Pull the curtains and you’ll never know! The location is easy to catch a bus into London Westminster area or Baker St for Sherlock Holmes museum, about 25 minutes each way. Traffic is very busy but busses have their own lane so they move more freely. If you don’t have an Oyster card just use your credit card to tap on the bus. You don’t tap off. You can use the bus multiple times then within an hour for no extra cost. I wouldn’t recommend driving only due to time spent in traffic, you don’t move far very fast at all. I would certainly stay here again.

We arrived thinking we were on the 1st floor, which is great as my husband has mobility issues. Floor 1 is really basement 2, floor 2 is basement 1! The first floor above ground is floor 3! If you want a room with a window and phone signal ask to be on floor 3 or above! We also had no power in our room on arrival. Someone had to go and check the fuse box! This morning the cleaning lady just let herself in, no knocking and they deactivated my key while I was up having breakfast. I know it’s a new hotel and the towels are fluffy, ask for extra pillows as they go flat very quickly, but they should warn the claustrophobic amongst us that your room may be very much underground. A lot of things to sort in this new build.

This new hotel opened close to the company I work for and I often stay in London for work purposes. There was a mix up with my booking when I arrived but it was sorted out later that evening. I was given a disabled room and the shower/wet room became just that after one shower. The bathroom floor was flooded. It's important to note that the 1st and 2nd floors of the hotel are basement level. I was on the 1st floor. I was moved to room 101 right next to lift. The lift noise and guests coming in and out all hours of the night and morning made it very difficult to sleep. My main issue with this hotel is the reception staff. They had no customer service abilities, didn't smile or welcome me or thank me for staying at the hotel. Blank faces and very little interaction with me, as a first time guest, made me feel unwelcome. Reception staff need customer service training. The breakfast area was very messy and unappealing, so I purchased breakfast outside the hotel. All in all not a great first time experience and I am not sure I will return.

A good place to stay in London for an 'overnight', or as a well-located, basic hotel for tourists who don’t wish to spend too much time in their hotel. First things first: Level 1 in this hotel is two storeys below ground. (Level 2 is 1 storey below ground, then there’s Level G, and so on). This is wrong on so many levels! When I checked-in on line and chose my room, there was no indication (that I saw) suggesting that my room was two levels below ground and had no window. (In the room there was just a narrow opaque skylight that indicated daylight way above.) It’s absolutely terrible that this property does not make this clear when a guest is invited to choose their room. Appalling! However, as a result of the above, there was absolutely no traffic noise at all, the room was as dark as dark can be at night, the bed was comfortable–and I got a fabulous night’s sleep. The only noise I heard was the faint rumble of the Northern Line way below. You vaguely feel the trains trundling along the tracks in the deep tunnels that were built over 120 years ago. The train noise was not loud, nor the vibrations severe (at all), so I wasn't robbed of even a minute’s sleep as a result. My room was very clean, and the air conditioning was quiet and efficient. Breakfast was standard UK Hampton by Hilton fare, i.e. pretty basic, but palatable. The toaster was easily controlled, so for once I didn’t set the smoke alarm off in an attempt to prepare a decent slice of toast. The lounge area was modern and comfortable, with a decent-looking bar. The staff were not particularly welcoming. I didn't encounter any rudeness, but perceived a little aloofness from one of the front desk team when checking in, and on checking out, got the impression (from another member of the team) that they were a little inconvenienced by my request for a printed receipt. I guess that this is a personnel training issue that will be resolved before too long. If I were a tourist who wanted to ‘do’ London in as short as time as possible, and needed a clean hotel in which to lay my head, I’d consider staying here. Ironically, despite my gripe about the storey numbering, I’d consider returning for an overnight stay.

I was meant to stay at Hampton old street after travelling down from Durham for work, but was re arranged via a 10pm phone call from the front desk to be told I would be staying in a different hotel. Shoddy customer service, as I was condescendingly informed after many hours of travelling and several train delays, I was told to not worry, it was only a 15 minute bus ride away. Shortly after arriving at my new hotel it was clear they had not been informed customers were being redirected from the Old Street, and another customer arrived who had also been moved. Not a good start for a new hotel, would avoid in future.

Hotel has been open only a few months and still has a few kinks to iron out especially on the housekeeping side. Had to remind the front desk each day that we wanted the room cleaned and for some reason the cleaning staff kept taking away the extra pillow on a number of days requiring us to make a replacement request with the front desk (promptly done). Breakfast staff is great and of good humor despite the busy morning rush. The location is very good to bus and Tube and off a quiet area of Hackney. When the management gets the housekeeping staff issues sorted this will be a better place to stay.

Hi, i been there with my friends we came from USA, i can see that the hotel is new and the rooms are clean and smell good and they have high quality body wash, but the receptionist i think his name is iman or Imad he was very rude and he didn’t offered us any information about the service provider the hotel. he told us that if i don’t like the hotel the door is open to leave. Next month when i’m gonna came back i will request to talk with the manager.
