Excellent property a short walk from Puerta del Sol and most tourist stops. I never had to use the metro this time. Welcoming staff though bear in mind the property is only staffed from 1000-2200. There is a full kitchen for self catering if that’s your thing and several areas to relax and read, drink coffee (complimentary), or take in the sun. Rooms are pleasant and clean. The downside for me was the neighborhood. It’s quite sketchy from the east side of Tirso de Molina to the next Metro stop with several shady characters. I learned to avoid that area. There are also several hostels and one star hotels nearby which can make nights quite noisy due to the drunk young people.

A friendly guest house with modern interior, large efficient shower and comfortable bed with robes, slippers and other amenities. Rooms appear to differ throughout the property though and ours was almost an interior room with a very small window. This is made up for by multiple light and sunny shared spaces including a guest kitchen with tea, coffee, biscuits, oven and fridge. Helpful staff are on hand from 10am to 10pm and the property is surrounded by cafes and restaurants with the metro and supermarket a short walk away. However it is worth noting that due to its central location there is a reasonable amount of noise from service vehicles. Also the internet is a bit patchy. All in all though, it was a pleasant stay and we would stay here again.

The good: Amazing staff members. A big comfortable bed. Multiple terrace, and sitting rooms, which includes a multi-purpose room that houses a refrigerator, microwave that's shared with other guests; each with their own storage section. It reminded me more of a guest house than anything else. Boutique hotel design, quirky layout. Easy mass transit connections, both metro and bus within a hundred meters or so. The "potentially a bit annoying": If you're from a quiet rural area, there is some street noise. It didn't bother us, but be aware. The odd: Weirdly, this could also be a "good." Often we book hotels with buffet breakfasts. That's not available here. We found the cookies and coffee available from the machine made for an easy and relaxed start to the day. With bakeries and grocers nearby, we were able to have a lazy brunch by placing our items in the shared refrigerator the night before. It made for one of the most relaxed vacations we've had. Very much a home away from home vibe.
