Room was good. House keeping was very efficient. Wish we had room with higher floor since originally it was plan to be at 9th floor but since we checked in early only 7th floor room was available. Room was old school style. Was expecting more since is 5 star hotel. Overall I would give 3.5/5. I think there are better option out there!

I booked a Deluxe Suite at the Makati Shangri La and the room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately despite the website stating that a DVD player was in the suite there was none as they had apparently upgraded the TV and the new TV did not have a DVD connection and the new TV controls were a nightmare as they do not have a numerical button to change stations. The first night I was unable to change from CNN and the bedroom TV was stuck in menu mode so the next day the technician came to explain the controls and had to call in a colleague to re-programme the TV after which some channels worked but many channels showed an error message that the cable was not plugged in correctly to the set top box so they could not be accessed. Unlike other Horizon Club lounges this hotel did not have a chardonnay for the cocktail hour but a prosecco, viognier and pinot gris none of which I normally enjoy but the shiraz and cabernet sauvignon were acceptable. Likewise the canapes were sp**** and only paired with the white wine and not the red (which a lot of lounges are guilty of). There was a small selection of cocktails available. The lounge staff were very friendly and helpful even on the busy nights bar the first night when I was left waiting for a while to replenish my wine glass.

The housekeeping service provided by Mr. Ariel Pilande, Room Attendant was excellent. He was prompt in his duties, kept the room super clean and well-informed about the services available at the hotel. He is a skilled converationalist. His supervisor, Sir Ryan Navarro made sure that his staff served as well (quite good in overseeing his staff). Overall, the hotel met my expectations from the guards at the ground floor (extremely nice), concierge (attendants were most helpful) and reception (staff were friendly, efficient and helpful).

Super loved this hotel! Staff are really attentive. Bed is so comfy i did not want to leave. Location is amazing. Literally just have to cross the road to go to Greenbelt. Would love to stay here again on my next visit to Manila. Buffet is good too! The little details on the rooftop Filipino buffet is on point. Makes the experience much better

Definitely worth the visit! This hotel is probably my best for value hotel during my visits in Manila. The facilities are top-notch, room is big even with the classic studio plus I get to have the best view of the Manila skyline.

The hotel has a very nice location in Makati, surrounded by many very good restaurants and cafes, is very quite at night so you can get a good night of sleep, the staff is very friendly and helpful with anything I asked from them! Room is very spacious and most important very clean! Is definitely worth booking with them if planning to stay in the city for few days. About makati is a very safe area and is also easy to get from there to Intramuros or binondo, taxi or grab would be between 300 and 400 peso. You are on a walking distance (15 minutes or less) from Poblacion which is the club and bar area. Highly recommend this place!

Big thanks to the team at The Sphere for making my stay super comfortable and flawless. I stayed for 5 nights together with my colleagues for a conference in the same venue. Front desk was very responsive and helpful with the ton of questions that I had. I also booked a massage at the hotel and it was awesome! Special thanks to Karylle, one of their account managers, and Edmar, from the maintenance staff who helped us during our conference. They are super helpful and responsive to our requests.

Stayed here for 2 nights in Feb on a weekend getaway shortly before the world fell apart. Booked on Agoda, prepaying around $65 SGD a night including a basic breakfast. Only 2 devices allowed for WiFi. Room was small but adequate. Only 1 towel provided despite booking for 2 adults - had to ask for the additional towel. Same problem again after cleaning on the 2nd day. Double bed with a very hard mattress. Combined shower/bath in bathroom. Some noise from slamming doors and aircon. Friendly staff. Friendly staff. Good location in the night-life area of Makati. About a 20 min walk to the malls.

This is an older hotel in Makati close to Burgos St. Right in the center of everything Furniture is old and no room safes or any ectra spliffs. But the room was clean and nicely made up by house keeping. Staff is super friendly. Wifi worked great when I was there. You can't beat that price considering the location in the downtown area of Makati

5 star!!! Staffs are friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast buffet is good, we enjoyed it! They also gave me free upgrade because we need 1 queen bed instead of having 2 single beds. A Crystal clear swimming pool, jacuzzi is so nice!! Front desk staff who assisted me for check-in and kuya guard sa pool area are so kind, I forgot his name pero we went to the pool around 8am. Thumbs up!!

Citadines Makati is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Asia, and my favorite among all Citadines hotels. I have stayed at this hotel for more than ten times during the last year and many other Citadines hotels in different countries, but my experience in Makati has been exceptional. The staff at Citadines Makati has always made me feel at home with their warm welcome and willingness to help in any way possible. I am deeply grateful for their hospitality and service, which has been consistently excellent. They have always made a big effort to accommodate my requests, especially my preference for the highest floor, which provides a great view of the city. I have come to regard this hotel as my home in Manila, and I cannot thank the team enough for making my stay so easy and comfortable. The apartment is big but not well Maintained. Rust underneath the bath and the kitchen utensils/pots etc are old. It would be great if they had curtains in the living area to block out the sun as the AC appears to struggle to keep up. There were not extra sheets/pillows as mentioned. It’s just very old it seems and really needs some TLC. Spotted 4 cockroaches and demanded to move rooms. They offered me free daily cleaning. The bed was comfortable though which is a plus and the area is awesome. The Wi-Fi really isn’t great. I really Struggled to have a video call. Which was an issue for my work. I searched so many air BnBs and took this one because of the size, it is super spacious which is nice. One day whilst watching TV a staff member just entered the apartment, no knock on the door just walked straight in. I got such a fright! I asked him Why he was here and he just kept saying sorry sorry sorry. Couldn’t give me an answer. I wonder now what would happen if I wasn’t here! This is a breach of my security and privacy. The host is pretty much non responsive but the staff in the place are. I wouldn’t stay here again. Overall, a massive disappointment.

We booked because of its proximity location, walking distance froom PELE ( Peregrine Eye Lazer Institure) when both of us Seniors needed Eye Operations and cant drive- Parking was Free, BF free, Wifi strong enough, Wide spacious rooms, BEST OF ALL---Courteous staff! Clean rooms, ( though NOOT new--i dont mind the frills) it has mini ref---Location is so important, just few minutes safe walking nearby resto along Makati Avenue. Manager Mr Henry is very accomodating .

This hotel was AMAZING! It’s new and everything is extremely clean, I’m not even exaggerating. The front desk staff were very accommodating and quick to answer my phone calls. Breakfast was plated but very tasty!!! Super worth the price! There’s even a Pick UP coffee in their lobby, I’m so glad I found this place 💖💖💖

Formerly Somerset owned, I ignored the new reviews and hoped for the previous experience I received during the Somerset days. After booking a double bed + sofa bed executive room, I realised there was actually no sofa bed. Another bed for my friend arriving soon warranted an $18 mattress fee, later after complaining false advertising they gave me for free. A 2nd keycard was again, an extra expense which I didn't feel the need to pay having 2 of us in the room. Our 2nd to last night, we were locked out our room with a broken digital locking system so waited for 15-20 minutes at 3am to be let in via manual key which needed 4 staff, no new room was provided after this so we had to get them to manually unlock every time we left and arrived back. The pool had loads of leaves in, the air conditioning broke in the bedroom, cash only deposits too. If it wasn't for being a nice big room and a good location I think I would have asked for a full refund (wasn't even offered a partial refund for every problem that arose). This will unfortunately be mine and my friends last stay in this hotel.
