This hotel is adequate, but slightly overpriced vs. competition. While they have updated the lobby in recent years, from what I can tell there has been little effort to update guest rooms, which are dated vs. other 5 star properties like the Westin. The one differentiating factor this hotel previously had was a great breakfast buffet served in the Pacific Lounge on the 21st floor with floor to ceiling windows that gave a sweeping view of the skyline and the bay. It was carpeted with cushioned club chairs and those soft surfaces absorbed noise and the overall experience was a great way to start your day compared to the crowded and loud breakfast buffets at other 5 star hotels. Well someone decided to spend a lot of money to destroy that experience. They have opened a new restaurant on the first floor that is loud, crowded and gives you a view of 7-11 across the street instead of the bay. I spoke to the GM about this, so he already knows my opinion, but what continues to strike me is his point that the Pacific Lounge is “a premium space” - yes Sir, that’s true and previously it was one that virtually all your guests got to enjoy which is exactly why it was THE difference maker for this hotel. I came back thru Manila for a night on May 15 and was going to try the Sheraton one more time, but it was fully booked. Instead I stayed at the Westin for less money. There was no comparison- the Westin’s rooms have a much higher end finish, their food was better, and the service there was far superior like being provided a welcome drink and the Manager sending fruit to my room with a welcome note. The Sheraton Manila Bay is no longer on par with Manila’s best hotels

During my recent 3-day, 2-night stay at Swiss-Belhotel Blulane in Manila, the overall experience left much to be desired. While the hotel had potential, the importance of providing quality service to guests seemed inconsistent. Firstly, there was a noticeable discrepancy in the service provided by the on-the-job trainees. While some displayed genuine warmth and eagerness to assist, others seemed hesitant, particularly when they perceived that a guest might not offer a tip. This attitude detracted from the overall guest experience and contradicted the essence of hospitality, which should prioritize genuine care and assistance regardless of gratuity. Additionally, the functionality of the elevators was a significant inconvenience. With only one elevator in operation, guests frequently experienced delays and overcrowding, resulting in frustration and inconvenience. This issue significantly impacted the efficiency of guest movement within the hotel and should be addressed promptly to enhance overall satisfaction. In conclusion, while this hotel in Manila has potential, there are notable areas for improvement, particularly in ensuring consistent and genuine guest service and addressing operational inefficiencies such as elevator functionality. By instilling in all staff members, including trainees, a genuine commitment to hospitality and service excellence, the hotel can elevate the overall guest experience and distinguish itself as a premier destination for travelers.

Excellent price and room despite lack of most complimentary sundries you expect from hotels. For a price of just around 15 US dollars I got a family sized suite with a double bed and a bunk bed. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, however, the property has been having problems providing toiletries. In my first visit last August, there was absolutely no toiletries provided, but in this recent visit this September, a complete set was provided. This was not such a big issue for me though, since I usually carry around my own hygiene kit. But what I keep coming back for in this property is the surprisingly excellent food they provide, which is absolute home-cooked goodness. Overall, despite the shortcomings, the pros of this property far outweighs the cons. Overall

This hotel provide a very good customer service from the counter to the room service.The service that i like the most about this hotel is the spacious room provided during my living time at the hotel.Other than that I like this hotel because it have a reasonable price in my opinion.The room also very cool and the bed was very fluffy like cloud.Furthermore It was near the center of the city so it make me easy to visit all the facilities and places at the city.The food is very good and delicious.

They kids were so excited when we arrived at the lobby. Especially when they see the swimming pool. The room and the bed are really fits for us. The only one problem we had is that TV is not working. But still they managed it well and change it with another one. The receptionist at the front desk was very polite and attentive on my details. She is really good and friendly with my kids. Overall, we truly much enjoyed our stay and will be going back soon.

Okay for guests who are looking for a budget hotel around Manila. I booked this Reddoorz room for a night as I have business agenda the next day. Arrived late night but still there’s a front desk staff on duty. This is good, the only off for me is the location since it’s a little bit hard to find in the map and no elevator access, you have to use stairs. Not advisable for families with seniors or kids.

At face value the hotel looks spectacular. The entrance, security and breakfast buffet and pool cannot be faulted. The service staff attitude is great. The welcome drinks in the Hyde is a great value add. The hotel is not far from the SM Mall which has plants restaurants and everything you might need while in Manila. Rizal park which is a great historical site to explore is also within a walking distance. I was however disappointed by the rooms, our room window was so dirty, I couldn’t even take a photo of the beautiful sunrise which was unfortunate. The internet is also subpar. A gradual updating of the rooms will do wonders and so would the change of linen and old and stained towels which should never be put in a room of a paying patron. My suggestion is be flexible and give room to accommodate guests when needed and a little upgrade of rooms to match the entrance.
