Les Bords de Mer

The good: amazing staff, the views from the room and good location. We were greeted with a warm smile and thankfully well spoken English and since we were a bit early to check in, also a glass of wine. The view from the room was fantastic and when we decided to go exploring I realized the hotel was pretty close to everything, about 20 minutes on foot. The lacking: the room was incredibly small with very little storage for clothing. The balcony was also very small making it difficult to settle in for the view. The top floor pool is very small and so cold that it wasn't enjoyable to swim (there were also all the seagull droppings...) and there isn't any shade for lounging. The final let down was breakfast, at 28 Euro a person I was expecting an outstanding meal but that was not the case. My wife ordered well done scrambled eggs and basically got a bowl of egg soup and when she asked to have them cooked more they sent back two hard boiled eggs in the shell. The bacon was so well done that it was practically inedible and my french toast was so sweet that I couldn't even finish half of it. I would stay at the hotel again but I would not eat at the restaurant. The prices are very high and you don't get the quality of food for that price.

A beautiful stay with amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea. My wife loves the beach and this location was perfect. We could sit on our balcony and watch the sunset. Loved our stay!

Stayed two nigths and was a great location. On the Corniche and just along from Catalan beach at the begining of the coast. Away from the hustle of the Vieux Port yet easily walkable and reachable , so the best of both worlds. Felt like 15 mins to reach Vieux Port on a pleasnat walk in, and and there was always plenty of people about at all times of day and night, so felt safe. It was also easily reachable by the 83 bus that runs constantly from the Vieux Port along the coast. There is a stop just across the road from the hotel to arrive and to leave right next door. Views are stunning, across the bay from the bed rooms that have wall to ceiling glass. The bathroom has a blind you can pull down for privacy and still see a view through your side, and the bedroom has a sliding glass door to open for air. Air con in the room was fine, but when arrived was off, but they fixed it and staff can operate, fix and repair air con from reception. Nice complimentary drinks in room and some biscuits and fruit on arival. Roof top bar was nice for a drink and views before you go into town. Sound wasn't such an issue despit Catalans beach being a busy city one. Could hear abit of cars at times in night, but then silence and wasn't an issue for me. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Big shout out to the young man who wrote me a suggestion of beaches to visit close by and further a field. There is a small spa in the basement and I took a massage that was good. On my last morning i went to the roof top pool. Totally desrted and just lovely views from up there. All in all a lovely relaxing stay, with great views a super location and nice staff.

Poor soundproofing, you can hear everything from adjacent rooms and the corridor, we were kept up until nearly 2AM on the first night by very loud music just outside of the hotel, and woken up at 5AM on the last night by the same thing. Trying to sleep in this hotel was like trying to sleep in a nightclub. The rooms were tiny, with nowhere to open a suitcase but at the same time there is no space where you can unpack a suitcase. The pool was littered with bird faeces. The steam room was not working on our first day and stank of urine. I would advise avoiding, if you want to enjoy the view, just come to their rooftop bar for an overprices cocktail at sunset, but do not stay here.

A wonderful hotel. Great location, incredible views. A terrific modern restaurant and bar, with exceptional views of the setting sun, matched by the quality of the food and drink. Julie, who was on reception duty on the afternoon and evening of 30 June, was superb. BA had cancelled our flight, and we were tired. Julie welcomed us, and made the check in process really easy. She then booked us a restaurant and train tickets. Julie did all of this with both charm and effectiveness. What a wonderful staff member! Thank you Julie.
