Hôtel du Grand Lac Excelsior

The location is convenient. We always gotten a very spacious room and bathroom, the lake view is just stunning, comfortable bed and the service is great. This time we stayed there to visit the popular Christmas market and as always we were happy with the choice

Lovely helpful staff on the reception who gave us lots of information about things to do in Montreux. The room was spacious with a fabulous view of the lake. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold dishes The pool was great especially in the evening when it was very quiet

We had a fantastic stay at Hôtel du Grand Lac Excelsior. The first thing that struck us was how helpful and friendly the staff were, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself was clean, there were areas that possibly could be updated, like the carpets in the corridors, but I'm being picky there really, because it didn't affect our stay, and the overall decoration of the hotel was beautiful. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect for our family of four, it was comfortable, with two bathrooms, a sliding door onto the garden, and it was very cosy. The location is the real drawing point, eating breakfast at a window with views of Lac Léman and mountains was breathtaking, I've never had such a beautiful view when eating before. My 5 year old daughter said it was the 'best day of her life'! High praise from this family, and we can't wait to return!

Perfect location for the markets only a ten minute walk away. Beautiful hotel. Room was biggest room I have ever had. Friendly staff. The view of Lake Geneva and the alps was incredible. Staff very helpful when asked anything. My boys loved it will return.

Fantastic view, spacious bedroom, bathroom and terrace. Excellent breakfast venue and breakfast. Staff were very helpful. Hotel is just off the main drag in a quiet and stunning area a short walk from the Christmas market and the town centre.

The hotel is well equipped, has very clean and confortable rooms and is located in a very nice part of the lake. But to us what made the big difference was the warm reception from Diana. She was very professional and fast with the check in and the information always with a smile in her face and made us feel very well after a stressful situation with another hotel. I definitely recommend those hotel and will get back there should I return to Montreaux.
