Firstly I will start by why I give this hotel 2 stars. The location to the beach is perfect, the pools are clean. The reception staff are really great. But.... The restaurant is horrible. It's like a canteen, breakfast was always cold, juice machines watered down, stressy staff, and when we complained we got the cook shouting at us, whilst she touched the food with her bare palm to check if it was cold and took handfuls of food back to the kitchen that were the coldest. You had to hung down bowls, cutlery and glasses as they were not replenished regularly. I'm gluten free and told them, I was told wait 5 minutes and handed a plate of dry biscuits. Really odd. No food had allergy markers on, and no guidance was given eveb when asked. We then complained to the assistant manager and he said it ok for her to touch the food like this as she washes her hands, absolutely grim. He also basically called us liars regarding cold food and said its OK for food to sit for several hours without it gaining bacteria. The lunch and dinner choices were limited too. Rooms were comfortable but definitely not 4 star, very dated. Lots of the areas needed refurbishment. Also I think the food was catered to Germans as we were the only English people here, and seemed to be older couples not good for a family. The snack at the snack bar were just left for hours and looked really unappealing too. Drinks were fine, bar staff good. The attitude of the assistant manager was appalling, he was sarcastic and very unapologetic. Definitely would never go back here.
