Hotel berhampiran Kath. Kirche St. Franz Xaver, Munich

Für einen Messebesuch im Hotel Mercure gebucht. 2 Nächte im DZ mit FS um knapp 150,- Euro war ein sehr guter Preis! Wir sind aus Österreich am Freitag gegen Mittag angereist. Parkplätze gab es gleich um die Ecke. Die Dame an der Rezeption und ihre Auszubildende waren sehr bemüht, aber trotz Buchungsbestätigung inkl. passender Nummer, dauerte es gute 10 Minuten, bis wir an unsere Zimmerkarten kamen. Oberster (3.) Stock, vorletztes Zimmer. Kein Problem, wir wollen ja täglich 6000 Schritte absolvieren! Im EG gibt es einen Bistro-Automaten, Kosmetikartikel, Souvenirs, Info-Aufsteller, usw. Es gibt 2 Aufzüge - es fährt nur 1. Keine Ahnung warum. Die Frage wird schlagend, wenn man 10 min. wartet, um in den 3. Stock zu fahren. Am Gang war es sehr kalt. Das ist derzeit überall so und dürfte dem Energiespargedanken geschuldet sein, ist aber sehr unangenehm. Nettes Zimmer, mit Kasten inkl. Kleiderhaken (auch nicht mehr in jedem Hotel!), Safe (selten geworden), einer Dusche mit Glasabtrennung, Fön, Vergrößerungsspiegel, Kosmetiktüchern, Seifen-, Duschgel- und Shampoo-Spender. Das Badezimmer war so klein, dass man, wenn man auf der Toilette saß, die Türe nicht öffnen konnte, aber will man das?? Schreibtisch, Fernsehsessel, Flat-TV, öffenbares Fenster, ein bequemes Bett (nicht sehr breit) mit gutem Bettzeug. Wasserkocher mit Kaffee- und Teeutensilien. Alles sauber, aber nicht ganz rein. Wollmäuse hinter dem Sessel auf dem Lampenfuß (durch Zufall gesehen, weil mir etwas heruntergefallen war). Sehr leise, außer die anderen Gäste trampeln laut grölend über den Gang. Sind am Abend noch einmal weggefahren und erst nach Mitternacht zurück gekommen, trotzdem leicht einen Parkplatz bekommen. Sehr gut geschlafen! Frühstück: Bereich sehr nett, Tische sauber gedeckt, Kaffeeautomat für verschiedene Arten, verschiedene Teesorten, Säfte, Wasser, H-Milch kalt, große Gläser und Tassen vorhanden!, Semmeln, Kornbrötchen, Croissants, süße Teilchen, Rosinenbrot, Brezen; Marmeladen, Honig und Nutella; Butter und Frischkäse; Cerealien, Wurst, Käse, Weißwürste, Bratwürstchen, Rührei, Speck, 7 min. Eier, Pancakes, Gemüse, Joghurts, Obst, Obstsalat. Mein Mann trinkt Kakao zum Frühstück. Es ist in Hotels immer wieder ein Problem einfach nur warme Milch zu bekommen. Die aus dem Automaten schmeckt nicht. Auf die Frage, ob wir warme Milch bekommen könnten, hieß es der Apparat sei defekt - der Herd? Er hat dann kalte Milch getrunken, war aber nicht glücklich. Salz- und Pfeffermühlen auf den Tischen, wie auch Zucker und Süßstoff. Leergut wurde sehr zeitnah abserviert. Leider gibt es nichts für den Müll auf den Tischen. Am Samstag war es wirklich ok. Die Qualität ist sosolala. Der Scheibenkäse hat chemisch geschmeckt. Der Schinken war ca. 3mm dick geschnitten. Salami zum Frühstück brauche ich persönlich nicht. Das Wasser schmeckte behandelt, aber wir kommen vom Fuß des Schneebergs in Österreich und das Wasser bei uns schmeckt frisch und natürlich - da sind wir verwöhnt! Im Nutella waren lauter kleine weiße Kügelchen. Das hatte ich schon mal in einem Glas, vermutlich ist das abgesondertes Fett. Es schmeckte total ok, aber es hat so nichts auf einem Buffet verloren. Das kann man für Nutella-Palatschinken verwenden, oder für die Belegschaft. Obstauswahl war sehr schön, Äpfel, Bananen, aufgeschnittene Kiwis und Passionsfrüchte, Orangenscheiben, Dosenmandarinen, Obstsalat mit Äpfeln und Melonen. Am Sonntag war das dann anders: Mit den Laugenbrötchen hätte man Scheiben einschlagen können. Die Pancakes waren teilweise ”knusprig”, dafür der Speck labbrig. Das Rührei wurde nachgebracht, war aber total schleimig. Es gab leider keine Brezen zu den Weißwürsten. Kann alles ausgehen, aber in Zeiten wie diesen, wo man alles gefroren haben kann, ist das nicht notwendig. Was dürfen Kinder und auch mein Mann trinken? Warmen Kakao aus Milch leider nicht! Sehr schade - das und der Qualitätsverlust am Sonntag.

Hotel und Zimmer sind neu und schön eingerichtet. Die Betten und Kissen waren sehr bequem. Gute Lage in der Nähe der U-Bahn. Schnell in der Innenstadt (ca. 15 Minuten). Das Zimmer war ruhig und das Frühstück war super.

This hotel is quite a way out of Munich but it was easy to get to a metro and train station (very short walk past some construction). We had lovely big clean rooms and the best breakfasts of our holiday here! There was so much choice and even a very nice lady making fresh omelette in the morning. All the staff were friendly but it did seem that they were out to get money where possible, for example, umbrellas had to be hired and having paid to park in the small car park as guests we then found that there was a special offer for all weekend parking used by locals meaning that it was almost impossible to park safely. If you want big rooms, a great breakfast and don't mind a commute into munich then this is ideal.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, easy access by train. The room was very clean and the breakfast excellent, a wide selection of food for all tastes. All the staff was very kind, especially the gentleman Mr. Slavko at breakfast who was very kind, willing to help and approached us speaking our language with a big smile. I highly recommend it to everybody visiting Munich!! Although it is a three-star hotel, it deserves more recognition.

The best experience ever. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Would definitely stay only here in munich and highly recommend it.

L'hôtel est très bien, propre, confortable, accueillant. J'ai hésité entre 4 et 5 étoiles car il n'y a pas de connexion WiFi dans toutes les chambres, en tout cas, dans la nôtre, il n'y en a pas eu pendant les 3 jours où nous y étions. Je ne pense pas que ce soit un problème temporaire, mais tout simplement que dans certaines parties de l'hôtel on ne capte pas. J'allais à l'accueil (dans le hall d'entrée) pour en bénéficier. Néanmoins j'ai donné le maximum d'étoiles car les réceptionnistes étaient très aimables, il y avait des friandises dans le hall d'entrée, les dames d'entretien étaient bienveillantes et ont bien fait leur travail, ma fille a apprécié la baignoire (la plupart des hôtels ont des douches). En plus, il y a de bons restaurants à proximité, à l'écart des attrape-touristes du centre-ville.

Super convenient location. Right at Munich central station. Even the room was not that spacious but it was suitable for 3 people. I would recommend to take Lufthansa Express bus to and from airport. The bus will park right in front of the hotel.

When we had to book a hotel in Munich, most of the other hotels were very expensive or they were booked out. The niu loco still offered rooms under 100€ per night (breakfast included!) under fair conditions. The niu is not far away from the motorway. Its neighborhood/surroundings are not beautiful. Luckily, the heavy traffic outside could not be heard in the building at all. You can park your car underground for 10€ per night. The next Tube station is within easy reach: you can walk there in 5 to 10 minutes. Line 6 takes you to Schwabing and Marienplatz directly (3€50 for one ride). My room was quiet, clean, and cozy. The bed was comfortable. There was no mini bar, but a TV with a big screen. In a box there were some games and a toy for children. The bathroom was extremely clean. I was fascinated by the disco lamp, which produced “psychedelic” light effects on the ceiling and walls. The lounge opens up into the breakfast room. Their breakfast offered a wide choice of rolls, different types of delicious German bread, various jams, sausages, fruit, yoghurts and mueslis. At the coffee machines there was self service. The coffee tasted good. Contrary to what you can read in some of the other guests’ reviews, I found the staff open-minded and cooperative. In a nutshell, I would readily return to the niu loco, because it has got many more advantages than disadvantages. My colleague wants to return there with his family.
