Barefoot Manta was amazing! We spent 5 nights and had the best time. The staff were incredible, especially the resident marine biologist Rob who was a mine of information and enthusiasm. There are 3 different beaches to snorkel from and the snorkelling was the best we have ever seen, it is a protected marine reserve and we participated in coral planting which was great. The Manta Ray trips happened on 3 of our 5 days, it is a bit of an uncontrolled bun fight with various resorts sending their boats to see the mantas but the Barefoot Manta crew were educated and respectful. The resort is beautiful and has a lovely vibe, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in a double Bure on the sunset side, it was a permanent tent and it was all that we could have wished for, right on the beach. The meal plan is really expensive by our standards, I would have preferred an al a carte option as I have food restrictions and I found that eating salad and rice for almost every meal was boring and repetitive. The staff did try though, however $40 Fijian for salad and rice was a bit on the nose. Bring snacks! It would have been good if they could have made the tea/coffee available all day and maybe had something available for afternoon tea as it is 6 hrs between lunch and dinner. We do recommend this place.

The place is definitely not a 5 star resort but the facilities are still excellent and the staff are what truly makes this place memorable. They always bend over backwards to help you with anything you need. They make sure you’re comfortable and happy. The snorkeling in the reef right out front of the resort is outstanding however we always chose to snorkel at more remote locations on excursions that were offered. But that was just a personal preference. The food is good although nothing special but the staff always does their best to make sure you’re happy and satisfied. The main issue to be prepared for is the charges for excursions and for renting snorkeling equipment, etc. it does feel a little nit-picky but overall we were very satisfied with our stay and the facilities. Be aware that only the beachfront bures have air conditioning but most people didn’t complain. Also those that were there for diving were very satisfied and felt the value was fantastic. The staff all know what they’re doing and nobody ever felt unsafe. For good value and lots of fun interacting with a great staff and very interesting travelers from all over the world I can’t recommend Manataray Island Resort enough.

I recently Stayed at Paradise Cove with a travel group. The best part of our Hotel Experience after a long Boat Ride was our Welcome Cocktail and Fijian Welcome Song and a few days later....Our Fijian Goodbye Song. In Two Days we felt so special that We were hugging the Friendly Staff Good Bye. I Got Injured on Some Coral and was Carried to the Boat so my foot did not get wet. Now that is some VIP service even though I am definely not a VIP 

Yet again we had a beautiful relaxing break at Navutu Stars Resort . We were welcomed with song by the fabulous staff who ho out of their way spoil us the guests with outstanding customer service. Nothing was a problem and everyone feels like family. We highly recommend a visit to this special peace of paradise in the Yasawa Islands
