During my stay, there was a water shut-off from 7 PM until 7 AM the next day. The notice was only given during the room cleaning on the morning of the shut-off, which was incredibly unhelpful. If I had known in advance, I could have arranged alternative accommodation, but instead, I was subjected to significant inconvenience. Furthermore, when I requested a partial refund as compensation, citing liability, my request was denied with the reason being a "region-wide water outage." The only offer made was a mere $50 reduction in the destination fee. This response shows a complete lack of consideration for guests. I've attached a photo of the notice placed in my room on the day of the incident. I returned to my room around 8 PM, tried to use the water, and found nothing. It was only then that I discovered the notice. Due to travel fatigue, I went to bed immediately that night without showering (and without flushing the toilet). Can you imagine the situation? While I understand that it was a region-wide outage, the impression could have been entirely different with proper prior notification and better handling of the situation. Honestly, I'm quite disappointed with how this was managed.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in! The hotel receptionists were liar and arrogant especially the manager! They didn’t know how to serve the guests properly apart of threatening them only because they knew the guests had already paid in advance! Can you imagine that the washbasin in a Usd2000 room was cracked? I was so sad I could not get any help from XieCheng Ctrip abroad even though they agreed I lost Usd1800 because of their fault!

Ridiculous, any particular reason why you charged me additional 848.97$ after checking out (without ANY explanation) ? This is frustrating. What kind of amateur service is this? You won’t be expecting good review from me. Yes, after email exchanges, you agreed to amend my bill, but not fast enough, I’m still waiting for the bill to get amended. And most of all, this should NOT have happened in the first place.

Standard service that you would expect from most hotels in America. The air conditioning does not work well in the rooms, it was hot and stuffy. The hotel does provide a fan (upon request) but it did not help much. Rooms look quite tired. Nobody picks up the phone at the front desk. Location was good.

My partner and I stayed in the bunk room for a night and it was great! The bed was so comfortable and the blankets were clean and soft. Our room stayed at the perfect temp even though it was 10° outside!

The service and staff were great as well as the location, however, the rooms are very worn out. The dark carpet is unnerving to walk on barefoot and the bathrooms are laid out such that you're basically falling into the toilet from the shower and there is no way for the dirty shower curtain to not touch your body while you are showering. No counter space at the sink - just generally difficult to be in the bathroom without feeling gross. I get that it's NYC and space is limited but there are better ways to maximize space. Not enough lighting anywhere either and the thermostat was hard to control.

Excellent service. As we checked in we informed them it was our anniversary and they gave us free drink vouchers! Love all the nice smelling toiletries in the bathroom too.

The outlets on the bathroom sink and the ones on the tables in the lobby didn't work...

The location was great and the hotel staff were very helpful! The twin room was spacious and comfortable, allowing me to spread out my suitcase and relax freely! There were also many photo spots and I could take Purikura photos on the first floor, so it was a memorable experience!

The only downside is that the rooms are old and it takes about 30 minutes for hot water to come out. The location is very good.
