During my week-long stay at Hi New York hostel from December 14th to 21st, I found the overall experience to be quite enjoyable. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to the ever-present front desk staff who were helpful and efficient, ensuring a smooth start to my stay The proximity of the canteen and cafeteria next to the reception area added to the convenience. The cafeteria offered a delightful selection of freshly baked goods and various beverages, making it a pleasant spot to unwind. While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped. The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience. Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff. Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city. In essence, Hi New York hostel provided a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation option with its friendly staff, convenient amenities, and well-maintained communal spaces. My stay was marked by a harmonious balance of affordability and quality service.

It is the first time that we find a hotel room where the TV is bigger than the closet. Perhaps the hotel's policy is to set up the rooms differently depending on the season: large TV and small wardrobe during the warm season and small TV and large wardrobe during the winter season? Amazing! Considering that the space in the closet is only 23 inches (60cm) the suitcases cannot be emptied and must find a place around the bed in order to be opened. The positive consequence is that moving around the room helps to learn the Sirtaki dance steps: 4 steps on the side and two steps forward. The size of the bathroom is inconsistent with that of the room. The bathroom, in fact, is surprisingly large. The drains, on the other hand, are consistent with the narrowness of the room, in fact as soon as we arrived in the room we found the drains clogged (promptly purged by the hotel's ”specialist technician”). The air conditioning, turned on by default, reminds us of a subway station: the same movement of air and above all the same noise when the subway cars arrive. The same ”specialised technician” then intervened to activate the futuristic air conditioning control unit where, by going through labyrinthine menus, submenus and sub-submenus, in the end he was able to access the on/off disclaimer. Unfortunately the instruction manual for this control unit is not available in the room consequently we have replaced that bizarre electronic panel with that archaic tool called ”window” where with a marvelous handle one is able to change the air in the room. The operation of this tool is friendly enough that it does not need an instruction manual. The room is also equipped with a large screen through which at night you can watch the silhouette puppet show. The screen is the dividing wall between the bedroom and the bathroom built in opaque glass. It is enough to go to the bathroom and turn on the light, whoever is on the bed can enjoy the exhibition, free of charge. The restaurant is quite good and the prices are ok.

Is This Hotel Still in Business? Did It Close Because Website Not Working and is No Longer Listed on Wyndham website or the Trademark website either! Phone number did not get through. Just wondering because I prepaid a booking 2 months ago for August 31.

Very cool and coopeartive front desk, spacious rooms and very clean as well. 100$ deposit against damage was taken although I was staying for only 1 night, I may reserve this hotel again in the future, close to the subway station at the Yankee's station.

Saya tidak menjangkakan untuk menginap di hotel yang bagus pada harga yang murah. Ia benar-benar melebihi jangkaan saya. Ia mempunyai rasa hotel berbintang (banyak hotel dengan empat bintang ke atas memberi saya perasaan hotel ekspres domestik, tetapi yang ini mempunyai suasana hotel berbintang). Friday June 28, 2024 Check-in was suppose to be at 4 pm. I tried to check in at 3pm but was told room was not ready. Totally understand that. I went to TED’s bar and restaurant (in lobby) to wait it out. I got into line about 4:15pm and I saw that they were turning ppl away who were trying to checkin. When I got to the counter, they too told me my room was not ready. I said that I had to get to an event within the 1.25 min and the associate confidently said that I would be able to checkin well advance within that time. In the meantime, I went to the lobby bathroom to change to get ready for an event. By the time I came out of the bathroom 4:55, my husband had checked us in (with pushback because he wasn’t the one who had not made the original reservation). In our bathroom floor, several strands of hair noted, some wall stains (wipeable) under the hand soap and lotion dispenser, and shower did t look like it was wipe down well. Bed linens were clean, comfy. Desk area clean. Busy hotel. Ted’s hotel-slow service with a 1-2 attendants.
