Hotel di Pambula

My husband and I booked to stay here for one night. When we arrived, the smell inside the room was so strong of cleaning products that we had to open all the windows and the front door to get fresh air. When we tried to go to sleep, the smell was still very strong and it was starting to aggravate my throat and I had to turn on the air conditioning to keep ventilating the space and leave the front door open. We tried to sleep but hardly slept and in the early hours of the morning decided we needed to vacate the room. I called the motel and requested a refund and the receptionist told me that she had warned the proprietor against letting the room out because of the smells but that no other room had been available at the time I had booked the room online. She told me that she was unable to help me and that shes would leave a message for her manager to deal with the refund. The proprietor contacted me by email and told me that what the receptionist had told me was incorrect and that the room was fine. (i.e. that her receptionist had lied). She told me that she would have to ask *********** regarding a refund. After several emails, and phone calls to *********** and to *******, I was given the run around and I was unable to get a refund. Although I had booked through ***********, the booking was apparently booked by *******. The proprietor of the motel informed me that she had requested ******* to give me a refund. No refund came through I made repeated attempts to get the motel to refund me and they have refused. I do not recommend this establishment.

We booked 6 nights in a Beachcomber Villa. We landed in Villa 1 which was the furthest back so the views were nowhere near what they’d be in Villa 3 or 4. If you specifically want that view from the photos then request one of those ones. The villa was well proportioned for our little family of 4. The kids bedroom gets very warm and the fan isn’t great but the rest of the villa was well ventilated and breezy thanks to the elevation of the villa itself. The deck was lovely to sit and have meals. We didn’t sit indoors to eat at all. There was a card left stating our villa had been cleaned by 3 people…it wasn’t the best with a dirty bin lid, messy cupboards, and some sort of caked stains on the kids bedsheets but we put this down to a busy Jan season. Having shaded parking under the villa was a huge plus however a downside is a noisy road out back. The early rises of 5am heading to the beach is loud in the bedrooms. Our kids are up early so not much of an impact to us but if you like a lie in that could be an issue. The park had great facilities like the kids club, splash park and tennis court. I loved the additions of pizza night, fairy floss and doughnut vans visiting. The pool is advertised as heated. Apparently it used to be but 2yrs ago the heating broke and it’s very expensive to fix. We were lucky and visited in good weather but I’d be disappointed if I thought I was getting a heated pool in sub par weather and ended up with that. Also the advertised on-site cafe is closed and has been for some time. Wasn’t an issue for us and you can walk down the hill to a coffee van which is there most of the day. Good coffee too. We’d stay again but I think I’d look at one of the clifftop condos next time.

Very clean and well kept campsite. We stayed in a studio cabin as we were only staying overnight on our way from Sydney to Melbourne. The location is beautiful, it has a beach on one side and a river on the other. The studio cabin is well used but spotless with comfortable beds and good pillows. The campsite is a few minutes from the town of Eden on the Princes Highway. We had a peaceful sleep hearing the sound of the waves on the beach. Some road noise from the occasional truck passing. The staff were pleasant and friendly, the camp kitchen looked well equipped ( we had no need to use it). An added bonus was a pod coffee machine in the cabin, so remember to bring your own pods! The campsite appears to be popular with fisherfolk, and there is plenty of room to park boats.

First solo interstate drive, last minute decision to stay overnight in Eden. Management accommodated me and helpfully provided me with everything I needed including wifi password upon check in. The motel is located a couple of minutes drive from Eden’s town centre within easy reach of eateries, supermarket and places of interest. Room was beautifully presented with modern furnishings and decor, very clean. Big comfy bed, perfectly made with fresh crisp linen and quality bath towels. Confession: I’m a hotel housekeeper :) Room was safe and secure for a solo female traveller and also included a small kitchenette with microwave, fridge and coffee making ammenities. Great comfortable night’s sleep which refreshed me before the next leg of the journey. Have recommended you already to friends who travel through and stay in Eden regularly. Thanks for having me.

outstanding location and beautiful grounds. Room was good size, well equipped and clean. The room looks slightly dated probably because of stained wood panels and tiles. Breakfast was good and dinner in the restaurant was great. The chef is outstanding, and the dishes are very innovative. Eating in the open patio next to the pool with nice evening breeze adds to the enjoyment. Met the owner by chance and he is most gracious and a very nice fellow. All his staff seem to enjoy working for him and that shows in the service provided. This place is head and shoulders above the other motels or small hotels that we have stayed in during our two-week Victoria and NSW road trip.

We really only needed a comfy bed, kettle & microwave for our overnight stay but so much more was in our cosy Honeysuckle Studio. The fridge’s freezer actually kept our ice cream & ice packs frozen,🥶 pretty much a first for us. ✅ Most don’t .🥵 The bed was SUPERB & accommodated my tall husband, which again is not always the case in so many Motels 🏨 Lovely hot shower with great water pressure, separate toilet always a bonus haha 😆 Generous amounts of tea, coffee biscuits & milk. Our greeting on arrival was warm, friendly & jovial, not sure of her name, had lovel reddish blonde hair. On leaving Julie dived out of the door & asked if we’d had a pleasant night & we had some friendly light hearted banter. You are GORGEOUS LADIES !!!!! Eden is a very large jewel 💎 on the sapphire coast, & Eden Gateway Park is a gem amongst accommodation A few minutes stroll for supplies, peaceful without any Highway noise. Just the beautiful tilling of the Bellbirds 🔔 . We didn’t see the kangaroos 🦘 but there’s apparently plenty in this spacious & appealing park.💯/💯 Oh almost forgot. My 5th stay at Sails and each time it gets better and better. Rhys and Leanne are fantastic and I always feel treated like family when I arrive. Rooms are excellent and welcoming with everything you need for a your stay. Clean and practical. Then there’s the view.. stunning. A large north facing balcony (or patio) which is perfect for watching the day go by. I love the upper floor so I can be drenched in sun, while having a beer and look out to the water, I also love watching the cars going by! Pool is always clean and inviting and the grounds of the apartment are lovely. Great location and a quick stroll into town. It’s an even quicker walk to the beautiful beach down the street. I’m not sure why I haven’t reviewed this place sooner but I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting. Thank you Rhys and Leanne for your excellent accommodation!
