We arrived very late for check-in, but the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They even surprised us with a complimentary upgrade for both our rooms and thoughtfully arranged them side by side, which made things so much easier for our family. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and modern, with two very comfortable double beds. We also really appreciated the complimentary daily laundry service — such a thoughtful touch, especially when traveling with kids. The location is excellent — just a 3-minute walk to Wen Chang Men city wall, which made exploring super convenient. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. There was a wide variety of options, including local Xi’an specialties like rou jia mo, zheng gao, and you zha ma hua — everything was delicious and gave us a great taste of the local culture. A special mention to Apple from the hotel staff, who truly went above and beyond. It was my daughter’s birthday, and she kindly helped decorate the room with balloons, birthday decorations, confetti, and even birthday sunglasses. She also arranged a very cute cake for her — it absolutely made her day unforgettable. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is available 24 hours, and they responded to our requests even late at night (around 2:30am), which we really appreciated. My kids also loved the little robot that delivers items like mineral water — such a fun and memorable touch. When we checked out, the hotel even gave us Xi’an fridge magnets as souvenirs, which was a lovely gesture. Xi’an has become one of our favourite cities in China — 5 days were simply not enough to explore everything this culturally rich place has to offer. We will definitely be back, and without a doubt, we would choose to stay at this hotel again.

We booked for 2nights in April and it came with breakfast, first run of minibar, Single Tang Dynasty themed travel photography & Imperial Hot Spring Twelve Hours Experience. As our room has its own hot bath that fills up every night at 7.30pm to 12.30am, we did not go to the Imperial hot spring which is at located in another building. Hotel: It is located in the Hua Qing Palace scenic area and for hotel guests, you can enter and exit the scenic area freely. In the scenic area, there are other eateries like KFC and coffee joints but they operate only during scenic area opening hours. The Hua Qing Palace consists of many cultural sites like Tang Dynasty Imperial Hot Spring Relics Museum, Xi’an Incident site, Five Rooms Hall, Jiulonghu Lake and Furonghu Lake scenic spot, Tang Dynasty Pear Garden Relics Museum and many landmark buildings, such as Feishuang Hall Wanshou Hall, Longevity Hall, Huan Garden and Emperor Yu Palace. Service: The staff in the hotel are helpful to assist and answers all my questions in a clear manner. They came with buggy as soon as I dial for them and also assisted us to purchase the tickets for the show. Photography: I enjoyed the Tang Dynasty themed travel photography and I find that both make-up artist (Ms Dian Dian) and photographer (Mr Wang Jie) are very professional and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This photography is conducted by a third-party vendor that is stationed in the hotel. We went to the Hua Qing Palace for the photography. It is a convenient location to take photo with beautiful backgrounds. A day after the photo taking, we went online to choose the photos that I wanted to keep. Customer Service Ms Liang Yanping conducted a live session via a link in wechat, somewhat similar to zoom meeting to showcase all the photos that were taken. The complimentary digital photos given by the hotel are for 3 high quality digital photos and if one wants more than 3 pictures, there will be an extra charge for the purchase. Food: The restaurant is located in another building which is about 8minute walk away. Alternatively, we can call the buggy to send us there and back. The food is really yummy and I must say the Chang-an Roasted Whole Chicken is a must try. Also.... the desserts are so good too. With a love for sweet food, I tried the almond lotus paste and also the lychee and redberry cold dessert. They are both gooooood... Show: At night, there is a large-scale live-action historical dance drama “The Song of Everlasting Sorrow” that is created by Shaanxi Tourism Group Company. The theme of this dance drama is the love story between Emperor Xuanzong and Consort Yang. This is a must see as the performance is top notch. Separate tickets must be purchased for the show. Summary: For those who want to be in a historical site that offers a hot spa right in your bedroom, this is an ideal place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay here and will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who are visiting Xi-an and to use this as a last stop in Xi-an before heading to your next destination.

My stay at this hotel is unforgettable. They had staff came downstairs to pick us up upon our arrival, took care of all of our luggages and stuffs. From the moment I arrived, the hotel’s signature woody scent enveloped the space with a sense of warmth and tranquility. It instantly eased my fatigue and created a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere that stayed with me throughout my visit. They were very patient on every little details, like what time we planned to have breakfast for another day, what time is the best timing to send in our late night snacks etc. The room is clean The room was absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. This hotel didn’t just meet my expectations—it exceeded them in every way. I already look forward to come back this place. I strongly recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!) The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all. A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome. I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone. After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out. I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! After two dozen-plus countries, I've learned to judge a hotel less by the room and more by the staff, because no room is ever perfect and you have to pick your battles. This place is one of the rare cases where I didn't have to sacrifice either. I was given a room I genuinely loved. The front desk even called after check-in to make sure I was happy, and I was. Around day four, a neighbor threw a party (smoking in the hallway, doors slamming, the works), and rather than make me deal with it, the staff moved me immediately to make my stay more comfortable. The second room didn't feel as good to me, and when I told the front desk I couldn't settle or sleep, they moved me a third time without any pushback. I ended up just as happy as I was in the first room, entirely because the front desk clearly cared about getting it right. A genuine shout-out to the gentleman at the front desk (not sure if he's the manager). One person, but he single-handedly turned my opinion around. There was almost always an English speaker on duty. I had exactly one bad interaction: I went down to the desk in the early evening and the woman there just said ”I don't speak English” and left me standing there. No attempt to translate on her phone, nothing. But that was a single person on a single occasion, and everyone else was great. A few honest heads-ups: The address situation is a real problem. If you use the American version of Alipay, food delivery and DiDi cannot find this place. The listed address pulls up a different location, the hotel name pulls up yet another, and on Trip.com the hotel name even changes between the English and local-language versions. I lost one food delivery entirely and nearly lost a second (the front desk walked me over to another part of the building to help find it). I started attaching a photo with an arrow pointing to the entrance every time I ordered. Reception is on the fourth floor and the entrance is genuinely hard to find. It took me 30 minutes my first day, so I'm amazed any driver located me at all. The beds are firm, the hardest I've slept on in China and very American in feel. If you like a softer mattress, know that going in. It's fine, just not plush. The water gets hotter than any hotel I've stayed at, and you can fill the tub completely for a proper soak after a 25,000-step day. I only wish they provided Epsom salt, though almost no hotel does. Bring your own razors and conditioner. Other hotels included razors in the bathroom kit; this one doesn't. I'll be back in the area, and I'll be staying here again for a significantly longer stretch. When I do, I'll be requesting either my first or third room, because both were perfect.

Very good hotel! The location is great, you can easily reach all the main attractions of the city. The only small issue was the WiFi that was not working well all the time.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Special thanks to Ivy at reception for the smooth check-in and check-out. The staff were very thoughtful — they even lent us contact lens solution when we asked where to buy one. We also received complimentary magnets and a free room upgrade. The rooms were big, spacious, and comfortable. It’s about 10mins walk to the Great Mosque, Bell Tower and Muslim street. One tip: be careful when selecting the hotel on DiDi, as there is another hotel with the same name nearby. Our taxi brought us to the wrong hotel twice. I guess difference in the translation

Great location , hotel is very up-scale being in the ' tech zone' of the city ! The staff are very approachable and friendly, and despite language barrier they helped us with our enquiries and the room cleanliness was of standard !

Love the location, stretch of streets food and night food cart. Many eateries in same building including metro station. Receptionist is very helpful and good service. Room is very cozy and comfortable. Very new and come with bidet and fridge. Only thing is current main entrance is under renovation and have to walk to back street to take lift. Price is super good as managed to grab the viucher at special price. Worth to stay. Will Come again to stay.

Good hotel! Very good location, and easy to find! The room is good, in shower and toilet is very clear! But in the floor in room vas a little bit dirty. But anyway room is good, and bed is soft. Just I couldn’t close the window and was a little bit cold in night
