I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! Room Upgrade & Design: I was upgraded to a newly renovated room, and it was stunning! The design is very beautiful, featuring a minimalist style with warm wooden tones. I was very impressed with the room itself. The only minor drawback for guests seeking absolute quiet is the soundproofing of the front door, which is a little thin. You can still hear some noise from people walking past in the hallway. Exceptional Staff: The service from the staff was outstanding. Hardy, Kik, and Cream were all wonderful, providing excellent and very friendly service. A special mention also goes to Lusho at the breakfast restaurant. He took excellent care of me, always ready to recommend dishes and answer any questions we had about the food—just ask him anything you need! Location: The location is superb! It's just a short 7-minute walk to Ao Nang beach and very close to the night market, restaurants, and a 7-Eleven. Facilities: • Spa: The hotel spa is fantastic! I had the aroma massage for 850 THB, and it was excellent—both muscle and mind felt completely relaxed. The calming natural sounds, especially with the rain falling during my session, made it incredibly soothing. • Fitness & Pool: The fitness center is well-equipped, and the swimming pool is lovely. Overall: This is the perfect place for a relaxing, no-stress vacation. The food is good, the location is excellent (close to the beach and nearby restaurants), and the facilities are comprehensive. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning!

Biliknya mewah, luas. Terbahagi kepada zon. Lorong, bilik tidur, dapur, ruang tamu. Air panas di bilik mandi. Bilik dibersihkan setiap hari!!! Bilik ini mempunyai microwave, pengering rambut, cerek dan aksesori teh, kopi, air. Agak jauh dari laut. Tiada pantai berenang berdekatan. Anda perlu pergi ke pulau-pulau dengan bot teksi. Dapur dan pinggan mangkuk tidak mencukupi di dalam bilik. Kolam renangnya bersih, tetapi tiada kerusi berjemur di sekelilingnya. Secara keseluruhan, ia bukan hotel yang buruk. Terdapat sebuah kedai berdekatan dengan barangan seperti di 7/11

We really enjoyed our stay! Everyone was friendly, but a special shoutout to the concierge uncle at the entrance — he always had the biggest smile and was so welcoming and helpful every time we passed by. Such a lovely person and definitely one of the things we’ll remember about our stay 😊 The hotel was comfortable, clean, and overall a really pleasant place to stay. It is a little further from the beach, but honestly it wasn’t an issue at all for us since we rented a motorbike and could get around easily. Junior Suite Room was huge and hotel accommodated our request for the L-shaped window room overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was decent too. Overall, we had a great time here and would happily come back again!

We booked two villas for a week at this brand new adults only resort and had a wonderful experience overall. It is clear no expense has been spared in creating this beautiful complex of seven villas surrounding a stunning central pool, all set within meticulously landscaped gardens. The owners and staff deserve real credit for the care, attention to detail, and pride they have invested in creating such a relaxing and welcoming environment. What we loved: * The staff were genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Well done to the entire team. * The villas are beautifully designed, spacious, and very well appointed. * Each villa has a lovely private patio, providing a perfect space to relax outdoors. * The entire resort is immaculately maintained, with daily housekeeping available if desired. * The swimming pool is luxurious, and its setting amongst the gardens is simply superb. * Complimentary bicycles with locks are a thoughtful addition. * Fresh bottled drinking water is provided daily. * Being an adults-only resort is a huge advantage, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. * It was lovely to meet and chat with the owners, who live next door and clearly care deeply about the resort. As a new resort, there are just a few improvements that would certainly elevate the guest experience even further. Suggestions: Breakfast was the key area that fell below the otherwise excellent standard. Vegetarian options were extremely limited, despite advising we were vegetarian, with much of the buffet left uncovered, attracting insects and leading to leftover food / unnecessary waste. Fried eggs were housed in with the meat selection, which may not suit some guests. Tea was also unavailable at breakfast. A simple made-to-order breakfast menu with a small selection of fresh options (such as yoghurt and granola, smoothie bowls, omelettes, eggs, pancakes, etc.), alongside covered pastries, toast, fruit, tea, and coffee, would provide greater choice, fresher food, significantly reduce leftover over, and better reflect the quality of the resort it aspires to. Breakfast Accessibility is challenging during inclement weather. The breakfast buffet is set up in the small reception area, which requires a short outdoor walk from each villa. Outside reception there are only four small tables with parasols for guests to dine. When it rains, which is on most days during the wet season, it is impractical to sit outside, leaving guests with no option but to carry trays of food back to their villas through torrential rain or avoid breakfast paid for. Our breakfast experience on our last day was ruined due to torrential rain. The reception area itself is not configured to accommodate indoor breakfast seated tables, making the overall breakfast experience highly inconvenient in regular wet weather. Providing a covered or indoor dining area would significantly improve the guest experience and better reflect the quality of the resort it aspires to. Wi-Fi was intermittent throughout our stay and unavailable for almost two full days. Reliable internet is increasingly important, particularly for guests combining leisure with remote work. The above improvement suggestions are offered with genuine positive intent. This is already an outstanding boutique resort, and a few relatively simple improvements, particularly to the breakfast offering, would elevate it among the best adults only retreats in the area. We would happily recommend staying here and hope our feedback helps make an already wonderful resort even better for future guests. We look forward to seeing the resort flourish in the years ahead.

Overall Impression The resort makes a strong first impression, particularly through its beautiful common areas, pool and outdoor spaces. The drinks experience was a standout, with creative beverages that were well presented and closely matched their descriptions. However, the room condition and overall in-room experience fell significantly below the standard expected from the property. Key Strengths Public areas & pool: Beautifully maintained and among the strongest aspects of the stay. Drinks: Outstanding presentation, creativity and consistency with the descriptions. A particularly memorable part of the experience. Storytelling: Evident throughout the hotel and added personality to the guest journey. Breakfast: Above average, with a good variety of options. The bakery, healthy drinks and juices were particularly strong. Sustainability: Good implementation through refillable glass water bottles, wooden shaving items, toothpaste in paper packaging and larger refillable bathroom amenities. Staff: Generally friendly and welcoming. The Duty Manager who assisted us as walk-in guests in securing a room was particularly helpful. Opportunities for Improvement Guestroom Condition & Maintenance The room was the weakest part of the experience and felt noticeably old and tired. Several issues affected the overall perception: Four of six electrical outlets were not working. The iron was faulty and required replacement after a request. The requested king bed was actually two single beds placed together, which was uncomfortable during the night. The duvet appeared heavily aged and grey and had an unpleasant smell. Blackened areas were visible in the shower corners. A painting was poorly maintained, with visible Scotch tape and the artwork coming away from its frame. While the amenities themselves were well selected and aligned with sustainability initiatives, the overall look, feel and smell of the room did not reflect the quality expected from Sofitel. Food & Beverage The restaurants were outstanding in terms of ambience and service, while the food itself was acceptable but not particularly memorable. Breakfast was stronger, particularly the bakery and healthy beverage selections. Guest Engagement Although the staff were friendly, there was limited meaningful interaction. Managers were visible and consistently welcoming, but the interaction often felt more like a polite greeting than genuine engagement. No one proactively asked about my experience during the stay or at check-out. Beach Experience The beach opposite the resort was disappointing, with visible rocks and a generally unclean appearance. Although guests are directed towards it, there appeared to be limited effort to enhance or integrate the beach into the overall resort experience. Overall Assessment Strong resort facilities and outdoor experience, excellent drinks, good storytelling and an above-average breakfast. However, the dated and poorly maintained room, lack of proactive guest engagement and disappointing beach experience significantly reduced the overall stay.

It's a long read, brace yourselves! We stayed in Vipa Tropical Resort for 5 nights and the trouble started right when we moved in. They showed us to the room, which was the a bungalo next to the pool. It looked nothing like the pictures of the room we booked. So I went to the reception and said ”that doesn't look like our room”. After some debate (we were told that they are fully booked and, in reality, this was an upgrade) they took us to Superior room #113. At first glance, it was the room that we booked, but then... things started to come to light... All firnuture was old and beaten down. Literary! There were bits and whole pieces missing or broken. So I made a complaint to Trip.com and demanded to either manage the situation or get me a full refund. While they promised to resolve the issue whithin an hour, we went out into town and when we got back reception was already closed (not a 24h service), so we went to our room, decided to ”sleep on it”, pulled the cover from the bed... it was stained and the blanket was dirty, like it wasn't changed from previous stay. Another call to support and there was nothing that could do about it, but to offer to wait until morning. We spent the night cramped on the couch. In the morning I went to the reception, called the lady into thr room and said ”I don't care about the furniture, but at least the sheets have to be white and clean and crisp”. She tried to tell me that those are clean, just the laundry that they use isn't doing a good job.... Again, we went out for the day and by the time we got back the sheets were white, clean and crisp. And Trip.com agent offered us some coins ”for the trouble”. After night 4, there was a knock on the door and we were offered to look at the room #114... And it was PERFECT! Just next door. The bed was clean, the furniture was brand new, the shower had strong and hotter water. Why, oh why?!?! Oh yeah, they were fully booked and just moved people around.... Besides, all the trouble, the nature around is stunning. Very green and quiet. And the cliff massively hanging above is nothing but spectacular, but... that's where the good part ends. P.S.: There waa a ”do not disturbe” sign on our door. And yet, when we got back from our day trip, there were towels and TP and two bottles of water sitting on the couch. Quite disturbing, concidering there's no safe deposit box in the room Not going to stay there again.

We love staying here with my kids .. large room , friendly staff and easy to get grab from here to go ao nang only 200b .. 30min from Ao Nang by car Very calm with not much people here and the sunset view is spectacular Can request for halal breakfast and they will guide you which meals Muslim ppl can eat .. the orange juice is superb Will come here again when visiting Krabi

Keluarga kami yang terdiri daripada enam orang, termasuk dua orang dewasa dan empat kanak-kanak, mendapati bilik keluarga itu luas dan selesa, memenuhi keperluan kami dengan sempurna. Bilik itu selesa, menyediakan tempat percutian yang tenang selepas pengembaraan harian kami. Kakitangan resort ini sangat mesra dan penuh perhatian, sentiasa bersedia untuk membantu dengan senyuman yang hangat. Kami amat menghargai perkhidmatan ulang-alik percuma ke Pantai Ao Nang, beroperasi setiap dua jam bermula pada tengah hari, yang memudahkan anda menerokai kawasan itu. Walaupun lokasi tepi pantai menawarkan pemandangan yang menakjubkan, perlu diingat bahawa pantai itu sendiri tidak sesuai untuk berenang kerana sifatnya yang berbatu. Walau bagaimanapun, pelbagai kolam renang di lokasi lebih banyak daripada ini, memberikan banyak peluang untuk bersantai dan bermain. Bufet sarapan menawarkan pelbagai pilihan, memastikan permulaan yang memuaskan untuk setiap hari. Suasana resort yang tenang dan menenangkan menjadikan penginapan kami benar-benar meremajakan. Walaupun ia mungkin tidak mempunyai penarafan lima bintang, kualiti perkhidmatan dan kemudahan memberikan pengalaman yang menggembirakan. Hotel look like palace. I like the room because it's very specious and large balcony. Hotel is old but very clean. Staff are super friendly. Especially all housekeeping are smiling when we walk pass. Location is facing beach and easily walk to Oanang Landmark which is street food and night market is there every night with life music on the beach. The o ly downside is gym is not fancy but very simple. Nothing like the bad review that we read before we booked. I am glad that we try them. It's all OK here.
